Where do I start? Just don't. I went in there for the first time today, what an "experience". I went in there with a lovely set of nails, self grown. Holy crap! This man guy named Lee chopped them down to nothing. Won't even discuss the color option fiasco. So yeah, my nails were super short & mega thick. They looked like Pepto Bismol paint jobs. My husband is a military veteran. I spoiled him with a pedi. He loved it and he can't remember her name. I watched her, she was so careful and compassionate. I am visiting from out of town and needed one of my natural nails repaired. I took a chance and dropped by and even though I did not have an appointment-- they were able to get me in an help me out. Everyone was so nice and accommodating-- band they did a GREAT JOB. The place was very clean and all of the protective measures were in place. My mother and I came here for a mani pedi for her, and just a manicure for me. It took 2 and a half hours! The people that came in after us got done before my mother who got there 30 minutes prior. The only girl that was good had long red hair. She does awesome nail designs, she's the reason they got another star. There are kids running around the whole time, and a dog that's out of control. I went in with my sister and my two year old daughter. Best/ worst decision I've made. It's hard finding someone to watch her while I go do things and I thought she was going to be cooperative. However she was running around being a typical two year old. The ladies in there were so helpful and understanding that they changed the tv for her and just made sure she was safe. The girl that did my nails did a beautiful job and was very patient. I left a great tip and will be back! read more

Since moving to Williamsburg, this is my go-to place for pedicures. The salon is very clean, and they are following COVID prevention measures. The technicians are friendly and my pedicures have been excellent. They are also well-priced and don't try to push other services. I saw the reviews about animals in the past, but there was no evidence of pets in the shop. Highly recommend! read more

I really enjoyed my pedicure today at "Nails by Lisa". I was told by a friend that they do a great job and that was correct. I was a walk in but they were currently occupied so I was able to make an appointment for just an hour and a half later. There were several options for pedicures that ranged in price, I chose the sugar scrub which was an affordable price of $30. Amber was very nice and put up with my terribly ticklish toes quite well. She did a good job painting the nails and even put little pink flowers on each big toe just like I wanted. Plus the massage chairs are on point. I will definitely come back soon. read more

I been there with my daughter. I wanted to have a nice spa day with her. They need to have the health department come in for a surprise inspection. The salon itself had a strange smell, because their dogs are running all over the place. The whole place is dirty, the bathroom was not clean. Would like to know, when this place had the last thoroughly cleaning. Nails by Lisa won't see either of us again. read more

I am originally from Kentucky but currently visiting here in Williamsburg because my boyfriend is attending William and Mary. I am so picky about my nails and I've always just gone to the person back at home but I decided I need a new nail tech in town and I found the best I've ever had. It's extremely affordable plus the service is great it's so sanitized and clean I just feel so safe during these times. Both my daughter and I had pedicure and eye brow wax. The pedicures were nice...although the selection of colors was kind of small. The salon itself had a strange smell. Later qe found out they tend to have their dogs in the salon....maybe the cause of the smell. My daughter has scabs on her brows from the waxing. I really enjoyed my experience at this shop. It's clearly family owned (3 very friendly sisters) and you can feel the love they have for each other and THEIR CUSTOMERS. I am a first-time customer and value referrals. I looked them up, saw the reviews and took a chance. I called hoping to get a walk-in (knowing appts are preferred) and she kindly said "you can come now" knowing I was a newbie. So hubby drove me over. Although they're renovating, they didn't let that disrupt their personal service. I was met with a smile and immediately started w my deluxe Spa Pedi. We talked & talked the whole time-kids, family even paint colors and future aspirations. A short time after getting started, regulars started pouring in...but she kindly kept working with me! Again a testament to valuing customer service. Everyone knew each other and that tells me this place has a well -established clientele, so there is a reason for that. I texted my hubby to come get a pedi too! She kindly explained what each product application was and asked me if I was ok/liked it along the way. My color was applied and I was escorted to the dryer, she thanked me for visiting and encouraged me to bring my daughter next time. I'll do just that! My first time going I had a full set and just needed a fill in. The tech Amber filed down my acrylic which made the acrylic thinner and fragile. Within one day my nails started to chip, break and gel polish started to peel off. So I have no nails (bit them off) and lost my $35 plus 18% tip. Been getting my nails done since 1992 this was the first time my nails didn't last a week. read more

Hands down the best experience in Williamsburg. The gel nails always stay shiny-- even after two weeks. Wonderful pedicures. Christine does a great hand and forearm rub down with the manicure. And I would know- I'm a massage therapist. I highly recommend a visit! read more

The costumer service and the work used to be much better. The place is not very clean and the barking dogs are often annoying

I was traveling with a friend in Williamsburg and we both went to have services at Nails by Lisa. My pedicure was just ok. The technician touched my wet toenail and did a bad repair of the mistake. The dogs in the shop were all over the place. They actually had signs that said their pampered pups were a fixture. It's just is not sanitary for a technician to pick up a dog and then come over to do your nails without washing their hands. Then the dogs kept going under my nail table and I had wet toe nails. I asked for a gel fill and gel polish. One of the overlays cracked about a day later. My friend only had a french pedicure. One of her toenails was cut so short it was hard to apply the french tip. So her technician actually painted the white tip on her toe, not the nail. There was too much going on in the shop. They need to have the health department come in for a surprise inspection. Products were stored on the floor, the bathroom was not clean and the shop seemed really crowded. Nails by Lisa won't see either of us again. read more
