This is a full sized shop so is very spacious and comfortable the staff are all very friendly and happy to accommodate any needs you may have. Yes, they are in really bad condition. When they get like this I go to American Top Nails for a mani/pedi combo that costs £30. They have those spa, whirlpool, hot tub-like machines with vibrating chairs and jets in the tub where you immerse your feet in water. I love those chairs. They also have really cool nail polish colours to choose from. I always go for Awesome Orange even when it's out of season because I like my toes to look like they're radioactive. Everyone in here is really quite nice and since I'm a regular I know everyone's life story and they know mine. So, if you need a bit of psychotherapy as well as a really good manicure this is the place for you.

If you don't have an appointment its best to get there right when the shop opens. When arrived shortly after opening, the shop was empty. Van did my nails. He was very meticulous as the fill was a lot of work. He was quick yet very efficient. The only downside was that he was unable to bling up my nails. Not sure if he couldn't do it or they just do not do it at this particular nail shop. I found the price to be fair for a full and nail replacement. All in it was £19. The salon isn't high end or fancy but they do an excellent job.

I'm glad she booked me in because on a Sat afternoon, it was very busy with walk-ins. It's not a chatty establishment. There's no - 'So where are you going on holiday this year' chat. I had never appreciated just how technical painting your nails can get. After soaking my hands and having my cuticles pushed and pulled from my fingers (I think) I was a little bit in awe of the Military Precision that went into making my Manicure-Virgin Hand turn into Shiny Shiny pretty nails. The woman doing my nails seemed like she ran the place and was very - direct with me. I think I kind of liked it.... I'm not a massive girly girl in that way so I don't think a manicure will be a regular thing for me. But if I get invited to a wedding or something I think I'd spend the £10 to have my hands sorted out and pretty. There are a whole range of other things they offer - the pedicure looks pretty good. All at reasonable prices and without the painful small talk.

I happened to stumble upon this place on the way to a friends house last weekend and it was a very…read morepleasant surprise. My gel in-fills needed doing (technically what that means is that I wear a gel wrap on my real nail so that it won't break) and I had half an hour to burn. The gel wrap was filed down really well, so that my nails didn't look fake and thick (the kind of effect that you normally get with acrylic wraps or nail extensions) and when I asked them to clip my nails to the length that I wanted to be, they didn't protest and say 'oh no! That's too short!'. Vy Nails also handle manicures, pedicures, semi permanent make-up and body waxing. My in-fills cost £18:00, which is a bit more than I expected to pay (but a lot less than Nails Inc..) and having said that I was very pleased with the service and the end result.
