She had such a light hand filing my existing gel off, and a very good eye for shape and symmetry. I came in thinking I would get oval nails as usual, but she suggested almond and thankfully I took her word for it. Some of my nails and fingers are a bit wonky, so I have always feared that something pointier like almond would emphasize the asymmetry. However, she did an amazing job with the shape and I am now an almond convert. Thuy also has a remarkably steady hand, and my cuticles remained spotless with no stray gel streaks to be cleaned up. I opted for a polka dot pattern and she absolutely nailed the spacing. She moved with care to ensure that each dot was round, equidistant, and the same size, erasing and restarting when needed. Sizen nails is currently running a 20% off mani and pedi as of 5/14/26, and the prices are AMAZING. My gel mani with designs on all 10 fingernails was $44. As someone used to California prices, my jaw dropped when she showed me the total. I think I found my nail salon in NC, and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Tammi took the time to cut my toes carefully as I am very sensitive and made sure I was okay along the way. She also removed my dip polish done at another salon gently and put strengthener polish on my nails to give them a rest. I was impressed with her attention to detail. My friend said her manicure and pedicure was done well. We got the second tier pedicure and they took extra time to massage our feet and legs. They used new utensils with the service and had the plastic wrap in the pedicure basin which I always like to see for sanitary reasons. The salon itself and super clean and relaxing. They kept getting a lot of walk ins come in and instead of rushing through their clients they told folks they didn't have any more availability for the day and to come back Tuesday when they would reopen. This was impressive to see as they took the time with the clients already there. The cost was not too bad for the Cary area. I will definitely be back!
