10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD…read more
My mother and I booked appointments at Quality Nails ahead of time, and we both selected specific services AND specific nail techs. From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was confusing and unorganized.
When we arrived, they asked if we had appointments. We told them yes and explained who each of us had booked with. Somehow, they still seemed completely confused about our appointments and the services we had selected. What makes this even more frustrating is that THEIR website gives you all of these different services to choose from when booking, so why offer them if the staff is going to act confused when customers actually book them?
For my appointment, I specifically booked polygel for my big toes with gel on the rest of my toes. I also had a particular design that I wanted. Before my appointment, I SENT THEM THE DESIGN and received a message saying that they could definitely do it. So there should have been absolutely no confusion about what I wanted once I arrived.
Yet when I got there, suddenly there was confusion about whether they could even do what I booked and what I had already been told they could do. They kept trying to steer me toward something different instead of simply doing what I requested. I specifically said that I wanted a cat-eye look, and the nail tech told me to choose another color. I assumed the color she was directing me toward was going to give me the cat-eye look I requested. It did not. The finished result was NOTHING like what I asked for.
The entire service felt extremely rushed. While doing my toes, she repeatedly hit/caught my feet on the gel dryer while trying to put them underneath it. This messed up the polish and design. At one point, the polish literally wiped off, she rubbed it with her finger, and then redid the design. My mother's experience was similar--they were being way too rough while moving our feet in and out of the dryer.
The worst part is that I LEFT THE SALON WITH MY POLISH ALREADY CHIPPED. I had literally just paid for my service, and it was already messed up. Now it is continuing to chip. There is absolutely no reason freshly done gel polish should look like this immediately after leaving a nail salon.
Normally, I would speak up before leaving and ask for something to be corrected if I didn't like it. However, while we were there, another woman literally came into the salon because one of HER nails had already messed up. At that point, I honestly thought, "Okay, this tells me everything I need to know." Why would I ask them to redo my nails when I had already watched my own service be rushed and poorly done, my mother's service have similar issues, AND another customer walk back in because her nail had messed up?
On top of all of that, I feel like I was overcharged for a service that wasn't even what I requested.
I communicated what I wanted. I booked the appropriate services ahead of time. I sent a picture of the design beforehand. I was specifically told they could do it. I explained that I wanted cat-eye. I did everything I was supposed to do as a customer, and somehow I still walked out with something completely different from what I asked for, poorly executed, rushed, and ALREADY CHIPPING.
I absolutely HATE how my nails turned out. If they couldn't do the design or provide the service I requested, I would have much rather been told that BEFORE my appointment instead of being told they could do it, arriving, paying for it, and leaving disappointed.
For the amount of money customers spend getting their nails done, there is no excuse for this level of service and quality.
10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.
