The kitchen project consisted of a complete remodel, replacing the hardwood floor and subfloor, installing all new cabinets, building and installing an island with range hood, running water and gas lines as needed, installing backsplash tile, installing granite countertops, installing recessed lighting, and painting. The work was great and he finished within the timeframe he gave us. He also matched the stain for the hardwood floor with the existing hardwood floor. The closet project consisted of framing out a new closet, installing closet doors, framing out and installing cabinets above the closet for additional storage space, and painting. We have an older home, which means that remodeling projects can be complicated by unexpected or unanticipated conditions. But Stefan and his crews did a great job. We were pleased with the results when he finished, and we are still pleased a year later. Great quality, great value, and overall great service.

Stefan was very difficult to work with throughout the project. A large part of the battle was constantly having to argue with him because he acted like it was his home and his decisions mattered more than mine. Mid project my $800 Kohler shower head went missing. Instead of taking responsibility or helping resolve the issue, Stefan tried to blame me for it, and I ended up having to repurchase it myself. Later, when I started having issues with the plumbing work, Stefan sent his plumber out to look at it instead of coming himself. As the general contractor on the job, I expected him to personally come see the issue and take ownership of what was happening rather than passing it off to someone else. Over time, I started experiencing repeated backups, bubbling toilets, and drainage issues. After continuing to deal with these problems, I learned that the a pipe that was installed by Alpha House was back pitched and holding water and waste instead of draining properly. When the plumbing was inspected, standing water and sludge were visible in the line, but I was still told everything was normal and there was no issue by Alpha House. I trusted that advice at the time, but the problems continued. Since then, I have had three different plumbers inspect the line, and all three told me the installation was incorrect. I was told the pipe was improperly pitched and that at least one of the fittings was not installed correctly. I am now stuck paying THOUSANDS to have the piping redone because the original installation was not done properly in the first place. What is most frustrating is not just that the work appears to have been done incorrectly, but that the issue was clearly visible on camera and Stefan still dismissed my issues instead of being addressed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Alpha House Construction.

Honestly, we put this project off longer than we should have. They replaced our old 100-amp service with a new 200-amp panel, installed a whole-house generator, and put in an EV charger -- all in one project. Michael the handyman did the job correctly the first time he was on time professional and provided great service. We bought a house and had him do all our work. Most recently he replaced my tv and sound bar, he also replaced my water heater and sump pump. He also replaced a light fixture in my bedroom. Previously he hung pictures, repaired a door screen and installed a window fixture in a reasonable amount of time and offered a great price. We had three different contractors come out to repair the leaks. All of them left us with outrageous bills, threats of litigation, and bathtubs that still leaked. After receiving payment, none of them would honor their "warranties" and come back to fix their deficient work. When I initially found Jon on Yelp, I was skeptical. I decided to give him a chance because I had no other options. They were extremely responsive and were able to come out in a few days. They fixed both leaks and honored their warranties for minor things I noticed after they left. Their prices are very reasonable. Furthermore, they are actually licensed, which is rare for most services that you find on Yelp. Most contractors will present a license, but have unlicensed workers do the actual work to cut costs. They are also extremely trustworthy and I would have them work in my home with no one present. If you have any issues, I highly recommend you contact them. They will not disappoint. As to the negative reviews left by Ryenne and Amy, all I can say is that Things 2 Fix was one of the most responsive contractors I have come across. They will be my first call if I ever need assistance again.

We loved his recent project with us. I can tell you the results are interior design magazine worthy. I had no idea on what lighting solution was needed for this awkward space. Very good handyman team, good value! I bought a new…read morerefrigerator hired them to replace, the refrigerator is huge, they had to uninstall doors, take some doors down from refrigerator, during the whole process they are very professional. One detail is they could use the old connectors from the old refrigerator but they still ask if we have new connectors to install. They are careful about our furnitures, appliances. I would definately recommend them and will hire them again.
