As a small business owner and mom of two, I didn't have time to come back as it was also the week of the 4th of July. I've spent every single day since wearing a hat or a headband. The cost was over $100 to get my hair butchered, and I felt obligated to tip, despite feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied. In retrospect, obviously I should not have. I followed up right away via email, sent photos, and tried to communicate. The salon owner, Rachelle, responded a couple of times, I responded back with times that worked for me to come in for her to fix it, and then she just stopped responding completely. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. The lack of urgency, accountability, or a clear solution made a frustrating experience worse. I'm still out the money and now have to pay another salon to fix it. The attached picture is from immediately after my appointment. As you can see, nothing was styled and my hair is exponentially worse than when I stepped into The Studio. Who would walk into a salon and ask for the awkward growing-out-bangs stage for a haircut??? The main downside was that she waited far too long to straighten my bangs, so by the time she wanted to do them, they had already dried in a super weird way and needed to be re-wetted and re-dried before she could trim them.
