They didn't tell me it was expired while I was there, let me use half of it, then crossed out the expiration date and made it a date in expire 10/30/25. I was unaware they back-dated it because I was in a hurry to put it in my pocket since I was in rush. Fast forward to today, I went to use it and obviously it wasn't honored because of that new date. I understand that it expired and of course I'm fine not using it since it's completely my fault. It was just the most bizarre experience because 1. No one mentioned it was expired the first time I was there (which I would have been fine paying for my pedicure if someone explained that to me instead writing in a new date so couldn't use it again) Also I'm just not sure why they would give me back a gift certificate that I can't use anymore or never mention that it was expired. 2. What kind of place has a 1 week or 1 month expiration date? (Thinking about it I'm wondering if it the date a typo since it was handwritten because most places around here have a 1 year expiration date when I buy them or am gifted them.) Also my nails were different lengths and the polish I used developed white spots on top (it was a light purple) With so many wonderful places in Montclair, I would definitely consider buying a gift certificate somewhere else with a longer expiration date, a more clear policy, or somewhere that will take the time to explain these dates and policies if you have an issue like I did if you are looking to purchase a gift.

Then, I told them I had an appointment and they took me after a bit of back and forth. She rushed through the entire service after making me wait 15 minutes. The lines on the manicure weren't straight and she messed up multiple times where the white was in the pink part. I had to ask her to redo one of the nails three times and it still came out terrible. I expressed that these nails were for an important event and that didn't change the way they kept rushing us out. Ultimately gave up and fixed whatever I could by myself at home. Nails also came off 48 hours later.
