Got toes and fingers done toes came out 5/10 I could of done better myself and I told the lady I was growing out my toe nails, and she still continued to cut them and not even a day later the nail polish looks like it's only one layer on my toes. I have been going to nail tech for 20+years but this morning was my worst experience and if u could see my nails u would understand why.. it's the first time in 20 years that I've complained. I got car and looked and turned around and went back inside. The gentleman filed them down a little bit the color and put more clear coat on it. Went here to get my eye lashes done on last Thursday. Two days later, one lash was lifting so I returned for repair. Walked in told a man at the front desk my issue, they told me fine to wait til lady was available. I said in the meantime I will have a pedicure and a full set of nails while I waited. Once this was done I walked over to get my eyelash repaired, but the tech was still not properly repairing my lash, I then stated that in my opinion there need to be more lash installed closer to the corner of my eye, the tech told me no and walked away. I'm sitting there pleading with her to complete my lashes to my satisfaction. I stated that had i known they were not going to fix my lashes properly I would have never accepted the other services, I would have saved my hard earned money for a salon that respected me.. I finally went back to the front desk to ask the same man that told me they would repair my lash who was the owner. Do you know what he said next?? GO HOME, GO HOME! I THOUGHT I WAS DREAMING! I am a 65 year old professional woman, and I'm thinking who in the hell does he think he is speaking to in this manner?? Three women in there immediately start going off on him for telling me to go home. One lady told this man to give me what I wanted and had previously paid for. She came to the desk to confront him then asked her personal tech to repair my lash for me. This was only done because of this nice customer, all of the other employees in there acted as though i was invisible by ignoring me, and that they did not understand English. She told the entire establishment that they need to learn how to treat all of us black customers correctly because we are paying their bills, that no other race, White or any of the Asian population were patronizing this salon. I hate to tell anyone not to spend their money where ever they chose to, but if it happened to me, the disrespect, it certainly can happen to them eventually. I asked for short square nails. I've been there twice, both times the nail tech didn't add acrylic over all of my nail; they do that on purpose to save product and money. They leave space between the cuticles and nail. They will tell you one sit one place and move you several times. They think blk people will accept anything, as long as they collect their money. I went to another salon in the suburbs, received better service and quality nails for a cheaper price. The red nail were from Nail Tech salon the pink nails are from a salon the suburbs, I asked for the exact same thing short square nails; both pictures taken the same day my nails were done. I'm sure you'll see the difference. Go to the suburbs or book with a black person online. They except black ppl especially those close to Detroit accept anything. read more

I've been going to Nail Tech for almost a year. The experience is cordial. I have Victor do the work 99% of the time. He wasn't available 2 of the times I went. I don't get anything fancy done, so I cannot speak on acrylic or pedicures. Just the basic and I am happy with that. Like some other reviews here, I wish they had more color choices and the other reason for the 3 stars is I wish they spoke more English as opposed to their own language. I understand the reasoning, but customer friendly establishments in this country, should most often speak English. Otherwise, this place is a really nice place to go for a full set or fill-in. read more

Another wonderful experience. I called myself going early, and the place was already packed. But we were still seen within 10 minutes. This place is customer service oriented and clean. My nail tech actually talked to me! My pedicure was amazing and my girls enjoyed theirs too. My daughter has small nails beds and this is the ONLY place that can do them. NOWAY, will I ever come to this place again.. This place is SO dirty. I went to wash my hands only to find three brushes sitting in a dirty bowl with murky water. I asked where the clean brushes were because I thought those were the dirty ones and they pointed to the dirty brushes and walked away. They tried to charge me for gel nails when they didn't apply gel. They were rude to myself and all three of my daughters. They also tried to charge them for gel. One man GRABBED and YANKED my daughters arm when she asked him to fix his mistake. And MOST of ALL, they are THIEVES... Got here at 6:45pm..... Its now 8:30 pm and they're still on my pedicure. They close soon and I'm not wasting another 2 hours for a service. I originally requested a paraffin wax pedicure and an hour into my service they said the machine was broken. That alone would have deterred me from even staying. Very unprofessional. Not happy at all. I'll never come here again. Requested shellac/gel pedicure "pink & white" and they used regular pink tinted and white polish. The reason I requested shellac was for the convenience of non-fading polish. The guy also broke my big toe nail while removing the previous shellac. Disgusting. I shouldn't have stayed for my entire mani pedi. I walked in and was immediately seen. When I went to pick out a color, I was told I only got one color and could pick it during my pedicure. Not sure how that works since I requests a shellac mani and regular pedi but whatever. Pedicure-The chair was busted and the leather was cranked down the entire back. He did not clean the tools after he used them on me - just dipped them in the water and put them back in his bin. The foot file was so well used that it was down to the cardboard in places. He pulled at something on my nail and didn't stop after I said OUCH several times. Manicure-I had to clean some old nails off the manicure desk before sitting down. The pad to rest my arms on the desk had lots of hair stuck to it and I couldn't get it off. The desk itself felt dirty and gritty. He began using a huge electric file on my nails and halfway through remembered I wanted a shellac not acrylics and had to fix it, at the expense of my nails. After this, things were ok UNTIL he started clipping his own cuticles when I was trying to pay and then left the skin on the desk and put the cuticle trimmers back without even wiping them off. I am so grossed out by this experience that I am writing this in the parking lot. Do yourself a favor and pay an extra couple bucks elsewhere and avoid sharing skin/nails/hair/etc with the last 7 people to sit in the chair before you,as well as the nail tech. read more

Very great location, this nail salon has been open for many years and is still running. They've recently renewed some furniture which is lovely. There have been some issues according to some yelp customers, but the long wait is to be expected. They accept walk-ins, but it's best to schedule an appointment with this specific location (Lots of long time customers, not a new location). The reason being is because a lot (I mean a lot) of people get their nails/feet done here, and the people that are usually satisfied have to find the right people to work with them (Learned this from personally experiences at other nail salons.) I was cut on my hands during a manicure and she tried to put crazy glue on the cut, them tried to charge me for the manicure after I told her to stop when she cut me. I always came here in the past and I never had an issue. I never had to wait as long as I did. I feel bad for this mans wife because everything I asked of him he did the complete opposite, I asked for narrow/ skinny sides, thin application of gel over lay and I wanted the edges to be softened out. What I got is thick, bulky, square nails that are nothing like what I wanted. Plus he barely let me see my nails and kept telling me to relax my hand after working 8 long hours at work decided to come since it was on my way home. I think he didn't understand me, but I'm sure if he cared so much about what I wanted as the customer he would have asked a co-worker for a translation. I honestly recommend you go somewhere else. I went to go and get my nails done with a recommendation from someone I know. To put it simply, I should have passed. While my nails werent terrible looking and the prices were very good I wish I could say the same for the customer service. An older man who did my nails was very unpleasant and as a result I will never go there again. I asked him to fix a mistake he made on one of my nails and he tried to just paint over it thinking it would just disappear. When that didnt work and actually made it worse he expressed his annoyance with a curse and meanly flicked my fingers away to signal not only that he wanted me to move it but that he was annoyed. If that werent enough, the guy also sliced the skin above my pinky nail because if his aggressive filing. I know he did it on purpose because he didnt start doing that until I gave reasonable directions about how I wanted my nails. He didnt even apologize for it! Likewise, I didnt say anything which I should have. :( The prices here are gr8, but my experience was horrible. The nice turn-out of my nails was probably not even worth what happened. So usually i get me and my mothers nails done in our area but we were on this side of town and wanted to try a new place to get a quick fill in. We sat for about 20 minites before a guy comes over looks at my mom and says he cant do her nails. My mom is partially paralyzed on her left side but as i said we were there to get a fill. My mom gets her nails done elsewhere with no problem they are patient with her and do good work but to try another shop which was a little busy i can admit, i still didnt expect for her to be turned away because of her disability and again this guy did not even try nor did the shop see if anyone else was capable of working with her. That was a blow when i know she's able to get a manicure on both hands with no problem but one look and they said no. Im disgusted and so was the lady next to us who said that was unbelievable. Some days I can go in for services and be well cared for but other days Ill get a tech that wants to rush thru the service and shave half of my cuticle back off after applying it just right but at the same time cut my finger at the cuticle, then applying the polish too thick after I told them only one coat PLEASE. and depending on the tech that services me ---I have to pay a outrageous price because my nails are more than 1/2 " in length!!
