I give this a one star because of how quickly my nails were done. I was seen by Andee who was very nice and quick. However literally a week later my nails chipped and one is off. It was suggested for me to come here because of the price and designs but it's not worth it if my nails will chip and break off. Makes no sense since I have gel nails. read more

Service requested: I needed to get my dip powder refilled and didn't want to go the 45 mins from home so I stopped by Nail Studio which happens to be about 5 mins. Vibe: The vibe was friendly and I was greeted immediately. I had looked up the place on Yelp and to be honest the reviews freaked me out but I noticed they were mostly old reviews. The last two reviews were great so I figured why not go and try Andy out. Very spacious and clean. Most Employees are still wearing masks and taking precautions. Quality: I'm very picking with my nails and much rather have things soaked off which Andy didn't do and it made me cringe thinking about the damage. I did ask about soaking but the response wasn't clear as to why. After asking for dip powder he recommended me going back to acrylic but I didn't want to so he mentioned liquid gel and I liked that idea. He proceeded to apply and I'll be honest, they look amazing ! I love the liquid gel look. I showed him a design inspired and he more than delivered! I'll definitely be going back but when it's time to get a new set I'll make sure to push to soak things off. Was the entire process perfect? Not really but then men can shape and design the crap out of some nails and I can work with that! I wish I can give a 4.5! Avoid this place at all costs! I know you may want to give them a chance but DO NOT!! This place is not hygienic at all. My nails were supposed to cost $45, I called and asked ahead of time. I changed 1 nail on each hand to a heart design and they became $70. I noticed at all the desk the UV lights did not to turn off, they were extremely hot when I put my hands under it do dry the acrylic. Five of my fingers are burned to the point that I can barely use my hands. My nail tech informed me how long to let me nails sit under the UV light and since the lights remain on the whole time I had to keep asking because it was extremely hot. The french tip design is extremely crooked and looks like a child did them. Towards the end of my appointment my nail tech, Mia, next appointment arrived and she started to rush. I asked her to fix the curve of the French design I asked for the two smaller hearts not to be filled in and she wasn't listening she just said "okay" and added nail polish on top of the prior nail polish not adjusting the arc of the French tip at all. At this point I want them removed the nails look horrible and the price I first received was a lie and the burns make it difficult to use my fingers. Worst decision ever to come here. read more

I came here as a walk in with pretty low expectations because of the rating on here but I was having pretty much a nail emergency and needed a fill so I went out of desperation. Clean and spacious salon. Have to wait 5 minutes but I don't mind. Andy was my nail tech and he did a flawless job on my nails. He took his time to ensure everything come out great from start to finish. Great massage as it feel very relaxing. No wonder this place has such a horrible rating! I usually come for Andy because he does amazing nails but he is the ONLY highlight of this location. I tried coming today with my sister just for a simple pedicure but they can't even get that correct. All of their supplies were already used and not cleaned but they continued to try to use on us. Whenever we asked if they could actually scrub or file they'd catch an attitude. The woman who did mine only painted half of my toe nails, and tried telling me that it was my fault that my nail wasn't completely filed. Not to mention I was under the impression that I payed already and they ran out of the place yelling at us like we stole something in reality I shouldn't even have had to pay for this atrocity. $62 down the drain. read more

I am so annoying and dissatisfied with the nail service I received from #5 at this establishment. I went to get a fill and a cut down. Simple request you'd think. Just wanted a natural look for a wedding I was attending the same day. Later that evening, my nails were chipping and I noticed one nail was uneven with the acrylic. Returned the next day less than 24 hours later to get my nails fixed. Ok. Theeee very next morning three more nails were chipped!!! I'm like WTF?! Unsanitary, unorganized, and disgusting. I had grown my nails out for a month, when I went to this "Nail Studio" in Brass Mill Center. I went for a simple manicure and wrote this down. I finally sat down with my supposed technician Ken. It took a good few minute after I finally sat down for Ken to finish checking his laptop which was sat on the next desk over, and his phone. He first asked if I wanted to "even" out my nails--which is standard..and he cut them down to stubs. He started drilling at one pinky when I said "Wait! This is a manicure!" Needless to say I was upset. Had he checked the paper and listened to me when I sat down the first time instead of checking his phone and laptop, he would have known. He started, and only took literally a minute to cut my cuticles. I haven't gotten a manicure in months, and most people know it takes a good manicurist at least 5-10 mins to cut them properly. He then had my wash my hands. I came back to wait yet ANOTHER 5 mins for him to check his laptop AGAIN and his cell phone AGAIN. Constantly in and out of his pocket. After awhile, he just put it on the desk so he could keep a constant eye on it. He started the "massage" portion. Again, most good manicurists take a good 3-5 mins on each hand. He took about 30 seconds on each (I wish I was joking) while looking at his watch the whole time. I then realized that he had taken off a piece of glove that he had on his thumb. It was an open cut that had been there awhile..probably due to the chemicals he deals with...IT WAS OFF. He was massaging my fingers with an open wound on his thumb. To the point that I could feel the layers of the skin. It was that deep, and moist because it had been under the rubber glove. It was disgusting, and told him to not bother with the polish. What makes this okay??? I came home immediately and reported them to the CT department of health. For the love of god, DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! Do not go to KEN. read more

I have come here through friend's recommendation and love this place. It is spacious and nice. everyone is friendly, professional and attentive. Pro: convenient hours- open 7 days a week and till 9pm on weekdays even in some holidays. Sometimes they can take you right before it closes at 9pm. This salon has huge selection of gel nail polish and mood change colors. I am in love with the Mood colors as they are very kool, fun and beautiful.They do fast and amazing nail arts including free hand, customizing designs, great and painless eyebrows waxing. Eyebrows threading is also available. I got my gel nails done here and they always come out shiny, pretty and last for more than 3 weeks . Price is reasonable comparing to other salons nearby. Pedicure chairs for kids with special discount. My niece insists me to take her to the mall just to get the mani pedi here. So to encourage her do well at school I reward her one treat a month if she is in top 5 of the class and she always is since my promise :) Con: a bit noisy on the busy days. Always crowded at weekends. Waiting time is about 10 mins on Friday or Saturday afternoon. That is why I always call to make an appointment to come in at weekend. I had a horrible experience. I had acrylics put in and was charged $42 - when it was suppose to be $27. The nails came out crocked and some of them "dripped" and formed "drips" under it. My nails look great, and she was quick and friendly. HOWEVER I got regular gels and it was $35. For Waterbury, this is expensive. I have gotten the same quality for $25 in Southington. There are so many stations crammed in, it was packed and very noisy, not relaxing at all. It was clean and everyone was very nice and professional. The lady in the front kept letting everyone else who walked in sit down & start their pedicure or manicures. This is the best nail salon. They do great acrylics, good waxing and amazing nail art! I drive from NY to go to this nail salon and i'm an hour away. The worst nail salon ever, avoid this place please. I didn't make an appointment so was happy that no customer was there. I asked them to make manicure with the gel nail polish and asked how much it will be. People barely speak English and keep saying 20$ for the gel nail polish. Ok, the girl started polishing my nails without even cleaning and shaping them. I just waited thinking maybe they do it some other ways. After 5 minutes the girl said I'm done. Worst salon on earth I'm telling you now don't ever go they first do a terrible job in nails and are very aggressive and second most important thing I came in to try out their eye lash extensions and I did not like what I saw the lady managed to drop glue in my eyeball and underneath my eye as well like a huge amount of it I requested her to just take it off and what does she do she rips them out of my eye so you can imagine what else she was ripping off ... yes my actual lashes she did not have any material to take off the adhesive before ripping off basically all of my own eyelashes so yes now I have one eye that has no type of eyelashes they then left me in a room for 30min + and told me to hold a moist paper towel on my eye and yes I was in a lot of pain from her ripping off my eyelashes and she still managed to have left some of the extensions and a lot of glue in my eye so I basically had to find away to take off the glue by myself and as I walked up they still had the nerve to charge me for my nails :) I can say with the bottom of my heart WORST PLACE ON EARTH TP GO FOR ANY SERVICE I should have sued it was the most upsetting thing ever read more
