I went in to get powder gel done on my own natural nails.. He didn't introduce himself first of all, then he started to undo the current color I had and doing all that stuff, when he started to put the color on I said wait where is the base coat like the white clear color he said oh no we don't do it like that.. so that was a red flag! First, it seemed like they had an issue with doing full set gel because I was asked 4 times...to the point I got a little concerned that nobody was there who could do it. Then I got sat with Nick. Very intense, meticulous however sanitation of instruments apparently isn't a thing, as the bits he used were stored in an altoid tin that was on the rusty side. I should've ran then. Horrible Gel Manicure! The absolute worst gel mani ever, the nail tech did not speak one word of English, how does this happen??? I asked about the different kind of manicures they do in the salon and I received NO answer and was handed the gel colors to pick from. Hmmmm, I guess that's all they do.......? The polish was gel color and was done improperly with 7 coats two primer , two base , two color, and one top coat. The result was way too thick, and immediately bubbled and lifted up. I had it done over and the final result was just as bad. After almost two hours for a Gel Mani, I gave up!!! The owner was working there as well, how can he let people leave his salon looking like that?, and charge for such a terrible result? Gel polish is a no brand name from China that could be part of the problem, they advertise OPI Gel, however they only have about five colors in the whole salon. Gel Mani was $30. That is an average price anywhere, Do your self a favor and go somewhere where you can communicate to your tech and they have experience. read more

My first experience here was FABULOUS and I was raving to all my friends. After that it was just a disaster. I went back for a gel fill. After I left, I was able to immediately see a bunch of flaws (old age...old eyes. Needed the bright sunlight). I turned around and went back and they had to fix 6 nails! He buffed the gel down so much, in less than a week, 2 nails chipped. This NEVER happens to me with gel and I didn't nothing different that week. I went back and they fixed, but charged me. My next visit, I had bubbles in all 10 nails. I had gotten my nails done just before vacation so couldn't go back to get fixed until I got back. I asked for a manager, pointed out the issue and said I shouldn't be charged for the redo. They shook their head like they agreed, did my nails (beautiful this time), and attempted to charge me full price. When I brought up the earlier conversation, they looked perplexed like it never even happened. I kept arguing about it and they knocked $5.00 is the $50 price. WOW! Ryan and his wife do a great job but their entire staff is inexperienced and do a less than mediocre job. I went a few times when they first opened but stopped going when they started hiring more and more people who had no clue what they were doing and waiting over a half hour every time I had an appointment. I went back last weekend after not going for a few months hoping for a better experience but again, I waited 35 min when I had an appointment, three different nail techs worked on my nails ( 2 made me bleed)and my nails are all different lengths, thick and bumpy. My whole appointment took over 2 hours, I was so sick of waiting I just left with my horrible job and will go somewhere else to fix it. Rather than hiring more and more techs to bring in more customers at once, Ryan and his wife should focus on quality over quantity like they did in the beginning. The only down side was the nail tech didn't really ensure to keep my skin clean from all glue, powder, or filing debris from my nails. I got a set from a different nail spot for my birthday yesterday and they were absolutely horrible. I came to Stone Nail Bar today to get a new set, and they did such an amazing job. The woman who worked on my nails, I believe her name was Lana, did such meticulous beautiful work. It took some time, well over an hour, but she removed the other set and blessed me with snatched claws This place has just a great atmosphere and the staff are all so kind. The woman who worked on my nails was seriously talented and I've never seen anyone with such a steady hand. I found Stone Nail Bar almost 1yr and 1/2 ago... I was on IG and found my nail tech Lana!! She is one of the owners and does bomb work! She takes appointments and the longest I ever waited was like 5-10 minutes to get seated at her chair. She texts me and she will give me a heads up if she needs to see me a little later or can take me earlier. I love that they send text confirmations for appointments and accept all forms of payment. Everyone wears a mask there too. Lana makes my nail dreams come true. There has never been an idea that Lana can't do. The only problem is that there is limited colors at the shop and I have to bring ideas from Pinterest to Lana. I love true art so just wish sometimes she would surprise me. But honestly she always gets me in and always makes sure I'm totally happy before leaving. Prices are great and my fills last 3 weeks to a month no issues! A lot of my friends go to Ryan who is Lana's husband but I find Ryan can get overly busy and Lana is very skilled and gives me a whole hour to myself. However, I wouldn't get my toes done again from the pedicure techs as I don't think they are skilled and often the toe polish cakes up. My first visit today with my daughter. I am impressed with the amount of time he took. It took almost 2 hours for a gel fill BUT it was done perfectly. I mean this was borderline OCD and since I had no where to go I didn't mind. My daughter's manucure was fast though. My impression of the staff is their mostly still learning how to conduct nail services but to compensate the atmosphere was great. Each person was nice and the prices are basically the same as the rest of the area. Except you get a FANTASTIC OUTCOME. I am sick of the local places that have been around for years. The woman I normally go to, to cancel last minute because of a covid scare, which was obviously fine but i had 2 days to find a new nail salon before my upcoming vacation. A few of my friends recommended Stone Nail Bar but i was very hesitant because of the awful reviews. Sadly i trusted my friends and made the appointment. First of all, most of my friends recommend Ryan, who sounds like he does a great job, but he was all booked for the day. I needed a gel pedicure and the older woman who did it, did a okay good job. Other than barley massaging my feet (which i have ALWAYS had done with a normal pedicure at every nail salon ever) and literally ripping out my cuticles it was okay. But then, i got a different woman (i don't know her name) to do my nails. she was a sweetheart and seemed like she knew what she was doing, so i was going to ask for a design on my nails since i'm going to Disney and wanted a simple Mickey Mouse. Thankfully I waited because it went down hill from here. Although she was very nice, she kept missing my nail when using the file and when using the sander. It hurt SO bad but i sucked it up and didn't say anything. Then she decided to RIP out my cuticles and made me bleed on both of my thumbs and left me very red on all of my other fingers. When she saw me bleeding she acted shocked and then moved on and kept working as if blood wasn't all over my finger. She wiped it and started to put the color on. So i didn't ask for the design because i wanted to get out of there. All together It came out to 85 dollars without the tip. 100% not worth your money or time. This was my first time at Stone after being with one nail tech for a few years. After seeing the work they post on Instagram I was super excited to try something out of my normal, neutral, nude nails that I seemed to be stuck on. So it seems the style of polish I chose is done with colored acrylic, which turned my 'fill' into an entirely new set, which I was ok with because the old acrylic I had was in bad shape and I really did need a new set anyway so I didn't mind them taking the extra step to remove it. Ken was the tech I had and while he is very talented and precise, his drill work was a bit rough. I did get bumped a few times with the drill as he was getting super close to my cuticle, which I also kind of understand because of his extreme attention to detail.
