I've been to this place many times but recently started to come regularly with my daughter. I am well pleased with the service that we receive here. Everyone is amazing but Caroline is top tier with her services and personality. She does a great job explaining everything she is doing as well as giving advice for what may work or what may look nice etc. She's not money hungry so she really wants her customers to come back as needed and not just every other week to make them money. The atmosphere is nice and peaceful and at the end of every service , you get the nicest neck and back massage!! All of the workers interact with the customers so you feel like they really care about you. They know customers by name and they take their time to actually have conversations ! My daughter loves coming to Caroline and we always request her and she makes herself available!! Love this place and you will too!! read more

I've been coming here since 2018. They always do a great job, clean and consistent! Everyone is always friendly.

This doesn't even deserve a 1 star how do you have people there who paint all over the skin on your toes! I came to give a another chance and they don't have skilled techs! Gel polish all over my skin! Now I have to get them done again my a professional! don't go to this place read more

I've been using sun nails for 3 years now, that's approximately 36 visits. I always get gel and always request Sean. He's always done a wonderful job, I've never left disappointed. They even use a liquid wax on your heels for a little something extra. Thanks guys! read more

I've been coming here for quite awhile. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. As of Lately I've been just getting my pedicures there. My Nail girl Caroline is working her way into nursing so it's hard to get in to see her. But with that said she did an excellent job on my gel fill nails. Uni is also excellent if you need someone. I have never had a crappy pedicure. Ask for Kim she's awesome. read more

If you're looking for a clean and professional environment to get your nails done this is the best spot. They have the best color selections and everything is super organized. The staff is friendly and update on nail trends. I also love that they actually follow covid-19 protocols by not having their salon full to capacity and I can physically see them sanitize everything (it makes for a better and safer experience) everyone there is really good at their job however my favorite person for nails is Caroline. She is super knowledgeable and very meticulous with her work. Check them out! read more

This place is so hit or miss for me. When they first opened i used to ger my eyebrows down religiously here and never had an issue. Now there wax breaks me out. But i will say they do listen when you tell them how you like your eyebrows done. As for nails i went 3 weeks ago on a whim. Got a gel mani for halloween and the younger girl in the first chair did an amazing job. Lasted 3 weeks my nails felt hard and strong. Went today and had a different woman. The gel was streaky when she painted it and it is bubbling. My nails feel very weak this time, not capped and top coat is not smooth. Like i said hit or miss. read more

Sun Nails - Not even 2 full days later and chipped gel manicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Waterbury, Connecticut

I read the reviews and was a bit discouraged but decided to give it a try anyway. I'm sorry I did. They were rude and unprofessional. She finally got to me after waiting much longer than the 10 minutes I was told. I usually chat with my nail technicians but she couldn't be bothered to even tell me her name and then told me I ask too many questions when I asked her if she was from the area! 2 questions! I've never experienced such rude service in my life and I have been getting my nails done for 20 years. read more

I've been going here for years. The last couple of times, despite saying that I had a time constraint, they could care less. They have gotten so rude and don't care about customer service at all. It's a shame because I really like supporting and being loyal to a business. Unfortunate I have to cross this place off my list. I'm bummed. read more

The best Eyelashes I gotten there by Sean very professional, excellent job I recommend to the fullest. Go get your Lashes with Sean!!!

I had never been to Sun Nails before. I stopped in because I had some limited time available and wanted to get my nails done. Caroline did an absolutely amazing job with my nails she was pleasant, friendly, and overall made me feel very comfortable. She also seemed to know a lot about nail Health. I am definitely going back to see Caroline again. Go in and ask for her. She's great! read more

I have had many manicures and pedicures in my life, and I can honestly say that this was the worst mani/pedi I've ever had. Pedi: Rushed. Did not file my toenails or clean up cuticles. Barely any massage. The paint job was awful - could see hardened paint drips on 6 out of my 10 toes. Mani: She tried pushing my cuticles back and trimming them without soaking and softening them. Which led to me bleeding. She then poured some random blue liquid into my cuts. When I asked what it was, she rolled her eyes at me and kept putting it on. Then she painted my nails and screwed up two of them, again getting annoyed when I asked her to fix them. The whole lotion and hand massage step was skipped entirely. All of this and there was a young girl running around, jumping on chairs, shaking the workers trying to get them to interact with her, etc. I like kids, and she was cute, but people come here to relax. I will never go back here, no matter how cheap it is, and will tell my friends never to go there either. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are plenty of others in the area! read more

Sun Nails - Is this what cuticles and polish should look like the DAY after a manicure? - Nail Salons Near Me - Waterbury, Connecticut

Very clean inside. Korean owned. Spacious. Good prices. $30 for a mani+pedi combo special. They have massage chairs so you can get a free massage while you get your pedi- SCORE! Really friendly! Clean restrooms. God service. Large variety of nail polishes to chose from, OPI and ESSI are among the brand names they carry. They also offer massages. The energy inside is quiet and focused though there is light music. Plenty of street parking. There was no wait to be helped when i came in at 2pm on a Wednesday. They offer gift certificates incase you want to surprise your friend with a pampering session gift card, and they also offer some soft of membership and discount if you pay cash. All kinds of rarity services, and employes are super nice. SunYung (or Caroline) is super sweet and a great manicurist/pedicurist. Tip her well! read more

I'm a parent of two children. When I find time to get a Mani and pedi I want to relax.Today one of the employees had her six year old jump while giving me rushed service. Kay usually services me here and its like heaven, I found out today she no longer works here instead I'm stuck with the staff member and kid .Please leave you're children home. My time and money is valuable. Never again !!! read more

So disappointed in this place. It's nice and clean inside and although the staff is nice the service is not great. I got a mani-pedi. They rushed through my pedicure, my heels which normally feel smooth afterwards still feel rough. My manicure was quick and they didn't even paint them nicely. The ONLY thing I liked was the massage that they give you while you are getting your nails done. The massaged my neck and shoulders really well. I will not be returning here. read more

This was my first visit to this establishment; and sorry to say -- my last. My french manicure lasted exactly 7 days and was a shoddy job at best. For the price that I was charged, it should have lasted a lot longer. There was also a little girl running around with a customer's daughter -- being loud and very annoying. I tried this place because it was closer to where I live , but I will be returning to my original nail salon in WATERTOWN where i can honestly say my manicure lasted almost 4 weeks -- now i say that is worth the money you paid for -- unlike at Sun Nails. read more

Was in town for work and decided to get my nails done. Had a shellac French manicure which lasted forever!!! The tips never chipped. The manicurist even free handed the white tips (no acetone to correct and make white line)!!! Would highly recommend read more

Very kind and does a very good job every time. Prices are great. This is the only nail salon I go to now.

Not sure why they're are negative reviews , I'm in Waterbury town plot and this is the only good nail salon in the area . Clean and professional , they always do a good job . If you come mon-thu it's cheaper and if you use cash you accumulate points . I really like this place read more

This nail salon is the worst nail salon/business i have ever had the misfortune to visit. The owner was rude. When I mentioned to him that his prices were a little "up there" he actually kicked me out! I was already sitting down about to get my nails done and this rude person kicked me out of the establishment. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I consider myself a polite and friendly person and he humiliated me in front of all the customers . I will never go back there and neither should anyone else... read more

I have been getting my nails done for 27 years and have never experienced anything like today. I went in for a gel fill and a couple of my nails were broken due to some outdoor work. The woman said that I needed a complete new set which was fine I didn't necessarily agree but I was OK with it. She continually moved my hands around pulling on my fingers couldn't seem to find a comfortable position in which to work. My clothes were covered in nail dust. No apology. The whole experience was absolutely awful never experienced anything like that. Also took an hour and 40 minutes. Normally where I go for a fill takes about 35 minutes I would expect with replacing a couple nails maybe an hour read more

I do not know where to begin on what a crap job this place did. Went in for a mani+pedi, not only was OVERCHARGED but the job on both was the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Only giving this place one star because it won't let me leave zero read more

Wish I could give 0 starts! This place is absolutely terrible! They're customer service is horrible. Saw them turn someone away for coming in at 7:45 claiming that they were closed yet they officially didn't close until 8. They are extremely rude. Would never go back. read more

Best nail salon around and they always have my eyebrows on point!!! They have the best pedicures!!

I've been going to this place for a couple months now, I went there once about a year ago and was not happy at all! Decided to try this place again since it's so convenient to me. The first time I had gone they guy did my nails & I was no impressed with the paint job, polish all over my cuticles & I had gel nails so it was very difficult to clean up. Now I strictly go to Jenny, she's amazing and very nice. Make sure to make an appointment on weekends, it's gets a little crazy Friday afternoons. read more

I go here for manis since I work nearby and they do a nice job overall. They can sometimes rush though and many of the manis I've had here chip somewhat easily. Friendly staff, lots of colors to choose from, and great massage while they work on you. read more

I went there after having a bad experience with another place, I called ahead and was told to make an appointment. So I did, I got there 5 minutes before the appointment time and ended up waiting 30 minutes to be taken. I need my gels soaked so they set me up and then continued to ignore me, 15 minutes later someone else comes in for a pedi and the man that was helping me went and started her pedi, setting up the water and sitting her down. At first i think no biggy, he's just setting up the water, then he starts to file her nails and do all the pedi stuff and I realize that appointments mean nothing and they don't care about their customers. So I ripped all my foils off and left. read more
