I am writing this review for my mother whom came earlier today on 10/19. My mother was super excited to try this place due to its great reviews. However she was met with all workers talking in Spanish making fun of my mother and her nails. My mother is fluent in spanish and naturally understood every word that was spoken. All workers continued to laugh at her and make fun of the designs she's chosen. Do not go here, all they will do is speak negatively upon you to your face. My poor wife was excited that this place was so close to us and that our favorite Dunkin Donuts was right next door. My wife showed the owner a certain style and asked if it was possible to have it done on her nails. The owner said yes the technician can do the exact style. As she was getting her nails done the ladies in the place one that was doing my wife's nails started speaking in Spanish making fun of the style she wanted to to another coworker because she likes her nails short, round and clean cut so the style would look ridiculous on her. My wife explained why she likes her nails short. She works in the dental field. Unbeknownst to them my wife is Spanish. My wife waited until the end to inform them that she understood every negative comment they said about her and other patrons in the establishment. They rushed to do a very mediocre job. The nail technician was to busy rushing on my wife nails so her co-worker can do her nails. The only saving grace was "Martha" who did her pedicure. My wife told the owner it's rude and very unprofessional to speak in another language because one never knows who speaks the same language or if my wife worked for the state then it would be a bigger issue. One of the patrons was a mother with her little precious daughter that they made fun off. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone let alone our friends or family. read more

Under new ownership. The worst manicure I ever had. Owner rushed me out even though I had an appointment. Will not be going back.

This is the second time Ive come here instead of my usual nail place because it's close enough to my job to squeeze an appointment in. The first time- a gel fill. I was pleased overall with the nail thickness, polish color, and service time but I was disappointed that my nails were different lengths and shapes. All it would have taken is a little time to do a visual check to make sure they were all almond shaped and uniform length rather than variations of round/oval. I had voiced concerns about unevenness in shape and length enough times to feel like a nuisance so I just let it slide. I paid more than I would have at my usual place and received a lower grade of service and manicure. The first nail broke 6 days later and 3 others broke by the end of week 2. 2nd fill- Same place and same tech. I love the color and nail thickness but the nails are different shapes and lengths yet again. I mentioned how i wanted the nail shaped and showed my ring finger as a reference point for length and shape. The nail tech said that they had to keep the nail wide rather than the tapered almond shape i asked for them to match. They said it would prevent the nails from breaking again which is confusing since it is wider and thinner than before. There is a huge lump of product under my thumb that was never cleaned up. The underside of the nails are a mess and just looking at my thumbs it is clear that one is round and the other pointed. Not worth the $70 i paid this time around for them to fix the broken nails and do another fill. I figured they understood my concerns about shape and length being the same, considering how many times I mentioned it, but there was no extra care given to ensuring my satisfaction and for that I will not be returning. read more

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP and thank GOD! The previous Owner was awful to her employees which made getting any service uncomfortable. Booked a last minute Spa Pedicure appointment at 4:30pm last week under new ownership and even though they were closing, they took their time and didn't rush us out the door! Suzzy, the new Owner is AMAZING! Super friendly and accommodating. My pedicure was great and going back to get a gel manicure today! Price point is average, nothing crazy. The only con I would say is the fact the Plaza Owner does not allow business operations on Sunday (with the exception of Dunkin Donuts). For a nail salon, Sunday is such a busy day and more accommodating for those of us that still work only having Sat/Sun free. read more

We called ahead for a large bridal party to get manicures and pedicures before the big day. They have 5 chairs for nails and 5 chairs for pedicures. I thought they were fairly decent, but I did find them to be pricey in comparison to where I normally go for my nails and the only reason I went here was because I was in the bridal party and the bride wanted to try something new. The color on my nails have lasted, but the gel manicure is $30. It isn't listed anywhere in the place or on the Pamphlet, so I am glad I asked before going ahead with it. I went with it anyway because I work with small children and get on the floor and up constantly all day and didn't want it to chip in anyway. A week and a half later and they still look amazing. They're great with gel powder nails. On a scale of 100, I'll give them an 80 on pedicures, very good and their massage chairs work. There's no live TV which is boring. They also do massages in a chair and the guy is good. They do facials and eyebrows too but I haven't used those services yet. They are next door to a great smoothy and salad place, FreshGreens&Proteins. On the other side is Dunkin Donuts. Bonus! read more

Been here numerous times over the past few years. I've received pedicures, gel manicures and a regular manicure. Overall - friendly staff, clean environment, and reasonably priced. I keep going back because I don't like the other places in the area. read more

Have gone here several times. They are amazing. I've done both the regular pedicure which involves a small massage as well, and I have done the $58 delux spa which has a keratin treatment and 20 min massage and it is amazing. The massage is the perfect pressure and I always come away feeling relaxed and beautiful. I will try their facial next. read more

Hands down the WORST pedicure, WORST service. The place opened at 9:30, I walked in at 9:35, the owner grace was rude told me to sit down and wait " we just opened you know". I've gone here for a few years and I usually see Solanda who is wonderful, she's friendly and does a great job! I do more pedicures but sometimes a manicure too! A little pricey but worth it. All the staff is great. They always try to accommodate. Also a nice little massage. I'd recommend highly! read more

Okay so let me start off by saying this . . . By no means do I expect a nail tech To be able to match my nails to the photo reference I show . I completely understand that not everyone has the same amount of experience or are capable of matching designs . Yes I looked up reviews before going but everyone has a different experience so I figured I'd go in open minded. Now , my friend and I walk in and automatically the atmosphere was calm and relaxing . Like you could hear a pin drop kind of deal , which was a bit intimidating when we read a sign that said to make sure phones where on silent since my friend and I had planned on chatting a bit . I showed the gentleman ( who was also the owner) a few pictures of what I had in mind which was a chrome dust powder that I had looked up online the night before to purchase myself Bc no place in Waterbury really has it . The guy literally laughed in my face and explained to me that it doesn't exist and that it's all photoshopped online which obviously was a complete lie . So I played stupid and allowed the guy to make me look stupid in front of his employees as well as customers . I apologized and said that I had no idea and explained to the woman next to me that I know I don't get exactly what I see in pictures and I always give the nail tech a chance . I then explained to the guy what shape and length I had wanted and again he proceeded to laugh in my face and told me no , that's he isn't capable of doing it Bc it's too hard and will take too long and also explained that he doesn't do water marbles nails for that exact reason. So after not getting the color or shape I had wanted after already compromising for the gentleman after making me feel like I was an inconvenience, I go to pay my tab and I shit you not I paid $100 for a glittered clear coat polish on top of gel. Again, 100 fucking dollars for nothing I had walked in for , not even a stupid stud on a finger or even a design. Two days later and an entire nail fell off on top of at least 4 chipped nails on the sides .... I let it slide STILL giving the benefit of the doubt thinking that I must have did something for it to happen . The next day two more fall off . So I go to get them fixed Bc for $100 you'd think the only way you'd get the nails off are by cutting your fingers off completely. I walk in and the look on their face along with the sighs and sounds of " ugh this butch again " when they could have done them right the first time . So they charged me another $15 for fixing their own mistake lol !!!! TALK ABOUT BALLSY ! 3 days later AND ONE OF THE NAILS THIS GUY FIXED HAS FALLEN OFF AGAIN !!!!!! So it's been a week since I originally got my nails done and I'm honestly embarrassed by the way they look and the fact my hands are walking advertisement for this place . With only 4/5 techs working; it's no wonder why the only customers that were in their with me were only getting gel polish. As a customer, the fact that the OWNER of the business laughed in my face , and refused to give me the service I asked is appalling. I don't know how this place is in business when they obviously don't want to maintain or keep up with newer trends ( like the nail polish I asked for) that keep your cash flow from coming. Especially for the prices listed , I don't care what location you're in , if you're going to ask for those kind of prices at least match it with the effort and work you apply . The only " Harmony " this place has is the harmony I'll feel once this place is closed and the rest of the potential clients that are saved from this horrific, tragic, and unpleasant experience they have to offer. read more

I went in for a last minute manicure before a wedding and will never be returning. The older gentlemen made me feel very uncomfortable from the moment I told him my previous manicure was acrylic. He came off very pretentious and I felt like he rather have been taking care of someone else. He hacked my cuticles up to the point that they have been stinging all day and the actual shaping and paint job are far from a "great job" as I heard someone else say about his work.
