I was told to come in today at 8:45a (Saturday) and was happy to. Last time May did my nails and I was absolutely satisfied. This time Jenny did my nails and she was rushed from the time she sat down at my station all the way to the end of doing my nails. She didn't wait for the lights to go off when my nails were under the LED nail lamp for each step in the process. The sides of my nails look rugged (pics) and she didn't say anything when she was done and got up to rush to the next customer. I like this shop and want to come back. But I need my nails done right. RESPONSE TO JENNY: With all due respect, I did make it known. You left the table. I schedule my nail appointments for a certain time, so I won't be able to come back until my next fill. I'll be sure to ask for May.
As a loyal customer since 2019; I cannot praise all these hard working technicians enough. The wonderful owner Jenny always accommodates my requests leaving my nails exceptionally beautiful, of course I cannot forget the lovely Julie for taking care of my pedicures since the shop opened. I've referred countless of family and friends, they have all been satisfied and understand why I keep coming back. I admire the staff's professionalism and making me feel welcomed soon as I step in the door. That being said, long as the salon is in business I cannot image visiting anywhere else. Forever grateful for Nail Studio.

Friendly- not the cleanest- My daughter's nails came out beautiful . Mine on the other hand, are lumpy bumpy and just not it. The lady's hand was shaking. Hope she's ok. I won't be back to her. I'll go to the other lady who did my daughter's. Hers came out amazing. Mine have literal bubbles and bumps. Thank you for your response. I don't have much time off so I'll see you for my next one.
Hi Jenny, How is that a valid response from everything I mentioned? To be clear, there was no polish change. It's evident that you don't care about the horrible experience that I had at your salon. There is no apology nor accountability in your response. I was left with multiple cuts and I did not see the nail tech take any sanitary precautions. Your response or lack there of is concerning.
Horrible service, it's such a shame too because I've always had great experiences here. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance all for them to rush our appointment and do such a bad job. The older man that did my nails didn't even want to do enough coats to make the color show, my nails came out all bumpy and misshapen. My sister wasn't happy at all with her nails either for the same reasons! I'm never going back because I'm so disappointed, even after telling them how I was getting my nails done for my Hawaii trip. All they cared about were the girls getting acrylics done.
It looks clean, that why I gave it one star and I did go back to fix my fingernails so another star because they fixed her mistakes. The lady was super tough with my hands, terrible job overall, wanted to charge me extra for the basics stuff the were included. Thankfully I read their price page and I told her it's Included. They used a chemical that made my hands/nails burn to remove gel. No massage not even a rub of hands or feet. She but my nails terrible they are super sharp. I had to come to Sally's to pick up manicure kit to fix her job. And because I don't like to be a Karen I paid $50 no tip.
The manager's reply to my review above further demonstrates the poor experience. You dropped what you were doing and never ever asked what was the conversation that led to him saying that, although I directly told you what he said. Your response was "well what do you want me to do." No suggestion, no forward thought, it was impatient "get to the point" energy. Further, the owner (having not spoke to the nail tech whatsoever) made excuses for why he did what he did, saying he did it to make my other nails even when none of those nails were close to that length. You defended his poor behavior with further poor behavior. My review stands that there are better shops to go to in this area, specifically where no one basically tells you to get out when they made a horrendous avoidable mistake. No accountability from leadership as you continue to make excuses for a poor experience in your place of business. I had to put fake nails on, which I never ever wear. And as you "fixed" his mistake, you passive aggressively tried to educate me about my nails as if I'm not a 38 year old woman who has been getting my nails done since I was a teenager. You eavesdropped on a conversation I was having with my cousin about Gel Builder and used that convo to seemingly blame me and deflect your employee filing away all of my natural nails rather than just accept total responsibility. You're loud and wrong, with employee that lacks the emotional and professional maturity to handle criticism of his work. I didn't cause any problems in your shop, I told you what the issues were and you agreed to fix them, blaming the person who wasn't holding a nail file shows that the owner lacks the same professional maturity. And then they charged me full price for the work. Watch your cameras before you blindly spew out responses to protect your Yelp image.
Great experience! I got the last parking spot in an apparently busy lot, then got swept into an oasis when I entered the doors. It's a smaller salon, decorated perfectly to enhance the "spa-me" experience. I sat in chairs, mid-salon, until someone became free to do my pedi. Apparently South Carson is in need of a nail salon, as walk-ins wait exorbitant times after those who've made appointments. Once seated in a ped-chair, my experience began. She took good care of my feet. Soak, nails, cuticle, callous removal...Painting could have been smoother. I'd return again--if for nothing but the convenience! Next time though, by appointment!
Definitely coming back! I'm new to the area and I think this is my new nail spot!! I was surprised they let me walk-in because all the reviews suggest making an appointment. I called ahead and they took me right away! I didn't have an appointment but they work fast and efficiently to make sure appointments are seen on time. They repeatedly apologized to a girl who waited at most 10mins, which is not even a long time honestly. Hy did my gel pedicure and she did an amazing job! And she was done so quick! Moon did my manicure and she was great too. I paid $74 for a gel manicure, gel pedicure plus tip and I was in and out in an hour so totally worth it! The shop is very clean. Each station is divided by a plastic barrier and they have everyone wash their hands upon entering. At the end, I even got a little gift from the shop which was super nice. I think I found my new nail spot!
I have read people's reviews who gave 1 star for this nail shop and I couldn't agree with them more. This place is only 0.5 mi away from my house and was recommended to me by my sister. My usual nail tech from another nail shop was on vacation and I needed to have my pedicure done ASAP coz of an ingrown toenail that bothered me a lot, but I also decided to have my manicure done since it was also due. I came as a walk-in customer and the lady who was seating right by the entrance was the one who worked on my manicure. I didn't get to know her name because she already projected a negative vibe on me. She started working on my nails and just basically removed the previous gel nail polish and RUSHED the "cleaning" of my nail. She barely cleaned my nail beds and didn't thoroughly trimmed my cuticles. She didn't take her time at all and after that, she told me wash my hands and then go to one of the pedicure chairs. She didn't complete my manicure and told me that "it'll be done later". I went to the pedicure chair and Moon worked on my pedicure. As she prepped my feet, someone else (she was sitting next to the one who started working on my manicure) came to me and said she'll finish my manicure. I thought that was odd... She was STANDING when she worked on my nails and did another RUSHED job. The polish was unevenly coated on most of my nails. Meanwhile, the tech who was working on my toenails is a better staff - she's friendly and took a little more time on my toenails especially on removing the ingrown toenail that bothered and hurt me for a couple of weeks. She was doing a good job until she NICKED the skin of my left great toe and a little bit from the right great toe! I didn't think of it much since it initially hurt just a bit... But 2 days later, my left great toe is still in pain and the area that was nicked has gotten infected. The area of the cut is red and painful to touch! I'm still trying to mend the wound as I write this review! I do not recommend this place at all. Yes, their regular customers are much more FAVORED than the new ones! I noticed that too! Take a look at the photos I attached with my review and you'll see the rushed job they did on my manicure! I paid nearly $100 (services and tips) on their crappy work! I'll never be coming back to this place!!!

I've been a loyal customer to Andrew for years and I'm so happy he has opened his beautiful shop! The shop is first off super sheek and modern. Being a neat freak I appreciate that it is super CLEAN and organized. They have different pedicure upgrades which is nice including CBD oil & fizz!!! Mindy who is Andrews sister, does an fantastic job on nail designs! If you want some good designs and someone who is OCD on their work Mindy is your girl! Customer service is always welcoming here and they even give courtesy wifi. I hope my fellow yelpers trust me on this review and give this salon a try. For whatever reason you are unhappy with their work please let them know so they can accommodate and fix the issues because they truly care and want their customers to leave happy! :) read more

Walked in and waited about 20-25 minutes to get seen which was fine with me because I knew they would prioritize appointments and I had time to wait. I recommend making an appointment though! All workers were super nice and welcoming. I was indecisive on two to three different colors and they didn't seem annoyed or bothered when I asked to see what it would look like. I do not have any negative things to say about this nail studio. I am extremely pleased by the service I received from the moment I called to schedule an appointment (Andrew Answered and was extremely kind and professional) to the moment I walked in the door, I was instantly greeted to getting my nails manicured and feet pedicured and a bad acrylic nail job fixed. Moon did GREAT on my feet, she was gentle and detail oriented, the paint job was amazing as well. Mindy (Mai) fixed my horrible nails, did an absolutely amazing job, also detail oriented, neat and gentle (she also cleaned up my Brows). The staff here is all very welcoming and the place is extremely clean. While I was there a woman walked in whose nail broke, they didn't fight her, doubt her or give her a hard time- they immediately apologized and sat her down to fix it. I've been looking for another go-to shop for a while now and I think I found it. In the two times that I've been here I've had different technicians for both hands and feet.. and all of them did a great job! The place is super clean and they have a variety of polish/colors and services to choose from. I don't do acrylics or dip powders (just gel mani/pedi) so I can't rate them on it, however, the girls that do come in for it seem satisfied. The staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable. Also, they offer a "loyal" customer card! A huge plus!.. read more

LOVE IT HERE!! every time i go, i always have a great experience. all the nail techs know what they're doing and are always friendly! It's pretty consistent results all around no matter who the nail tech is. Andrew keeps a clean and orderly salon. It gets pretty busy so definitely call ahead and try to get an appointment. Also i love this place because of the fair prices for everything, compared to other nail shops. I paid $100 for my set of acrylics and pedicure. I'll be back again soon!! read more

Soo I'm not your typical girly girl. I like to get my mani and pedi on but I always get anxiety. Go figure. Mindy was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. Nail Studio by Andrew is a small nail salon in a corner plaza. I visited only once, but the place was clean and had a nice feel. I was also happy with the final result of my manicure. 4 out of 5 because of the extremely strong smell of nail chemicals with little ventilation in a small space. Also, I found it a bit odd that my nail technician stopped doing my manicure to answer a personal phone call while sitting in front of me. Seriously i would have given 0 stars if possible... I have given this place 3 shots and I don't know why I went back the 3rd tine one service is rushed... quality of nails is garbage. Seems like only frequent fliers business is appreciated even though I spent over $100 each visit... last trip got me 2 bleeding cuticles on my hand like literally open wounds and and ingrown toenail... I asked for my nails to to be short with square round shape I walked out looking like I had little squares on my fingers... hideous not to mention the polish doesn't even match save your self the frustration read more

I am just beyond disappointed with the kind of service they provided. The nail technician that did my nails was rushing to finish my nails. To think that they are not some kind of cheap nail salon. I have been going here for a really long time, I have always been a happy customer. Was looking for a great nail salon near home after loving my old salon in DTLA. The search was over after I found this place! They always are accommodating and have time, when my schedule is crazy and often I only know I can go get my nails done at the last minute. No matter who I've gone to, they've done a fantastic job. I love their deluxe pedicure with paraffin, and their gel designs are great! They encourage me to do fun nails when I usually just do boring plain Jane nails. Highly recommend! read more

I hate my nails!!! I came here with high hopes because of the great reviews. I am disappointed by how my nails are so thick and bubble shaped. Andrew's sister did my nails and she put way too much powder on them. The color is at least beautiful. My nails look like little balloons are sitting on top of them. She could have thinning out the powder. Seriously-_-. The women who did my pedicure did a great job but she had an attitude as if she had a problem doing my nails. I had to ask was she okay. It just seems like they treat regulars better than new customers trying them out. When a regular would come in, they would offer them a beverage but as for me being new, I wasn't offered one until after I have been sitting in the pedicure seat for 40mins. I still tipped! This was my first time at the nail studio - it has a great feel, is clean, and everyone is nice. However my low rating is due to my dip powder manicure not lasting even two weeks when they usually last me nearly 4. After less than a week, the top coat started flaking off of the edges of each nail. Now all of the nails have started to lift in the back. Very big bummer. read more

How much are pedicures?
If you're gonna be a first timer, I suggest not to go there. It won't be worth your monies. Go elsewhere. The pedicure (and manicure) costs' depend on how you want to have your nails done. I paid $40 for mine - "quickie" pedi ($25) plus gel polish…
Can I make appointments?
yes, you can call them to make an appointment. That is highly recommended if you do not want to wait.
How long is the wait?
It really depends on how many people walk-ins we have at the time. It can range anywhere from 10mins to 1 hour. It would be better if you gave us a call before you come in to get a better quote. 424-342-9299
How much is it for a pedicure?
Our pedicure start at $16 for a quickie $21 for a signature $40 for a deluxe
How much is for dip powder?
Hi Mary, our dip powder is 35$ and if you want to add on tips to extend your nails, it will be a 5$ add on.
How much does a Acrylic Full Set cost? And is the regular or gel polish?
Hi Kristy. Our Acrylic full set start out at $20 with regular polish. Gel polish will be $10 more on top what you are getting.
