I just had an unfortunate experience with Angie, after another stylist messed up my nails. I got my…read morenails done here Dec 5. I travel for work every few months, so this was my first time going to this nail salon. I got dip, which I have always gotten for years. As soon as I got home afterwards, I immediately noticed the dip was like cracking in a weird way i've never even seen before. I took pics, because they were already closed and I was leaving early the next day for a trip. The nails kept getting worse and worse. I texted the SALON phone number listed on the website Wednesday morning (it stated you could call or text). I have attached screenshots of the text interaction. I thought I made it clear that I wanted them fixed, since they were not done properly. Surely thinking there's no way they would charge me with the time stamped pictures showing the damage. I assumed I was speaking with the owner, since that's who texted back. Idk if Angie really is the owner or not. Flash forward to today when she (Angie) fixed them. I sat down and she did them. I even told her during it that they're really thin because he drilled them way too thin. As I go to start grabbing my things when she's finished, she asks if I'm paying with cash or card. I politely said, "oh... I thought I wasn't going to be paying since you were fixing them." We just stared at each other for a few seconds and then she said well she's not him and he's not here. I was like, "okay... well as I said, I didn't want the person who messed them up in the first place to fix them." I could clearly see she was going to stand her ground; she was saying they're two separate people or whatnot. I said, "I will pay if that's what you're requesting, but I will have to leave a bad review warning people not to come here." as I start to get my credit card out, she said, "It's fine. Apparently I work for free." Very unprofessional interaction. There was no need for her attitude. Don't let the older gentlemen who smokes do your nails. And if they did a bad job and you need them fixed, you better make sure they're not expecting you to pay a second time because they messed up the first time.

Every time I leave, I get compliments from strangers about my hair. I have very long thick hair and I do not have to pay extra for the extra time that it takes to do my blow out. On the third visit I brought my husband in for a cut and he is really pleased as well! (hard to impress a man sometimes with hair services) He literally said, wow she did so much more than any other person I have ever been to before! We are new to the area and feel very lucky that this "spalon" is in our own base village! The entire staff is polite, professional and happy. The spalon is well appointed and they offer many other services. Making an appointment by phone is typically how I do things and I have changed/moved my appointments without trouble. Everyone in the area charges a no show/cancellation fee, it is just the way of the small mountain towns, but I haven't had any trouble with making/changing appointments. To summarize: This is a big city experience in a small town with beautiful views of Snowmass Mountain all to make your experience even more spectacular. I am so happy that I found Alux Spalon and will continue to use Miranda for all my services!!

Woke up on Tuesday morning while on vacation in Aspen and my husband and I decided that our…read moredaughter would not ski that day as originally planned so I immediately started looking around Snowmass for fun things her and I could do for Mommy daughter activities. Our VRBO rental was within several feet of this salon, and so I decided to check to see if there were any openings that day for her and I to get mommy daughter manicures. To my shock, there was one last appointment available in the afternoon, I couldn't believe what good luck I had! I snagged the appointment from my phone and appreciated there was full transparency with the price, (which I was pleasantly surprised at their manicure rates!!). They could be charging so much more than they were! It was basically the same price I pay back home in Fresno, California. We showed up at our appointment that afternoon and we were accommodated at our appointment time right away. Cute and fun little experience. We each left with a nice manicure and they hooked me up with a gorgeous hat. Good experience, would totally go back again next vacation. It did not feel pretentious or uncomfortably fancy. Everyone in there was friendly, humble, down to earth, and the salon itself is super nice and talk about convenient, it's right there in the heart of Snowmass village.
