The Nail Place review EDIT, 16 months later: Went back to The Nail Place as we were back in town, so time for a pamper. Sadly, this time wasn't as good and turned out disappointing. I wrote a review, specifying what was wrong in detail and figured that was that. But not so. Sam, the owner, replied back and said he wanted to make it right. Well, that was what I came there for in the first place, so I went back in. And you know what? Sam did indeed make it right. Sam was very careful, very thorough, and corrected and improved each aspect of the original job. When I look at my feet now, I am extremely pleased with how they look and feel. Sam's prompt response and willingness to correct what was done before came thru in the work he did. I really appreciate an owner who stands behind his business the way Sam did. I highly recommend that you go there and ask for Sam himself, as he takes both pride and ownership in his business. Good people. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ala did a fantastic job on my nails, and this was my first pedicure in my oh-so-many years! I can definitely say this will not be my last pedicure - I'm hooked. read more

I paid $275 to have my daughter and my nails look like this. I asked the nail tech to redo my nails and he got visibly frustrated and started burning my skin while filing off the designs. I was still unsatisfied with the results but they were done with me. read more

I'm on vacation and called to get an appointment. They were able to get me in same day. My technician was so so nice and i loved the Liz Deluxe pedicure i got. The whole place was very clean and nice & i got a very relaxing chair massage. Id 10/10 come back here. They were able to take me a little early too! read more

Came here for the first time and I enjoyed my experience. For starters this place is very clean and modern (compared to the places I've been to in the past). Nail Place - Acrylic almond shape nails with white gel tip - Nail Salons Near Me - Orlando, Florida

While visiting Orlando I found this cute nail salon near my hotel. I was greeted immediately and seated to get a pedicure. They have prices starting at 45 for the classic but I chose the signature because it's about a month since the last time I got my nails done and it was 75 (with gel polish). Ala was the sweetest and she gave the best massage I've ever had at a nail salon. She was very thorough with my nails and shaped them perfectly. I loved the variety of colors and attention to detail. read more

This was not my favorite experience. I came here while on vacation as it was close to my resort. I was greeted and sat immediately. I asked for one shape nail but another was suggested so I just went with it. The entire process was rough. When I was getting my nails filed, it felt like my skin was being filed. The shape was supposed to be coffin but it's more square. The polish was not done well. I learned my lesson, read the reviews first. I won't be returning and will start over with a fresh set when I return home. read more

Nail Place - Skin filed - Nail Salons Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I went to this salon for a pedicure. I have been there many times before the new owner and have always been happy with the services. The pedi was mediocre at best, not done by the owner, but the polish application is very poor. As I left I noticed polish on the skin on most nails and lumpy application. Now I must go elsewhere for a polish change. Needless to say I will not return. My acrylics were not done well either. The tech never smoothed out the nails before applying the nail. Not sure what happened to this salon but I would not recommend it. read more

I love this place everyone is so lovely! Tiffany Sam annd Henry do amazing manicures of all kinds! recommend this place to anyone!

Just thought I'd mention that I stopped by this nail salon while on vacation in Orlando, Florida. I got my nails done on 4/24/24. I must say, they still look damn good as of today, 5/8/24(see pic with flash below) I still have not broken one nail. And I have a pit bull thats full of energy that I have to grab hold of on a daily. The atmosphere was very welcoming, Very clean, staff are friendly. I was offered a cold bottled water that was greatly appreciated on that hot/humid day. Sam and his Wife gave me the history on how they started over coming all the way from NJ. They took a leap of faith to start new In Orlando. I showed them some of my work. (Im a self taught nail artist who started during Covid). They offered me really great advice on how I could grow. They're very reasonable on pricing. Where I live on the East Coast a full set of these nails would have easily costed me $100+. I was so happy to save some money. Sam is the best, he understood the assignment and he nailed it ! One thing is for certain some people can do nails, but they aren't artist. I wanted butterflies & Sam hand painted my butterflies. He made me feel such at ease because he didn't make my nails too bulky or long. His creative ideas knew exactly what finishing touches to add, to really jazz up my look! I have received many compliments, & still til this day. I would most definitely go back there and refer anyone I know in the area. Hope this helps someone...go For it ! read more

we were in a bind and needed a salon near the hotel for a quick pedicure; had i seen the yelp reviews instead of the quick glance google reviews i would've looked elsewhere. pros: the salon was clean and we were seated immediately cons: the nail tech kept trying to force me to do a more expensive pedicure and gel polish (which i have never done because i avoid artificial uv lights). when i kept saying "i just want to basic pedicure with regular polish" she would open the "menu" to show more elaborate things that i don't care for (hot stones, foot masks, etc) and she kept handing me the colour swatches for gel - i picked a color and asked if she could find something close in a regular polish but still didn't listen brought out the gel lamp and gel polish; she kept telling me gel is better and i should do it...after nearly 20mins of back and forth as she cleaned my feet, i gave up arguing because the process of having a relaxing pedicure had become arduous and i just wanted to get out. i said fine to the gel, which i've noticed did not get properly cleaned before curing so the polish is stuck to my surrounding skin and she missed a few spots with calluses in the cleaning process. read more

This place must have changed hands. No pun intended. I used to come here every so often when I was in town on business. Today I came in for pedicure and gel manicure. Always was happy with results. Deluxe pedi was supposed to include a callus treatment but I guess he forgot to do that because my calluses are same as before pedi. Also when I got back to my hotel room, I had to borrow a nail file from a coworker because my nails were so jagged. He filed my nails backwards, which was so strange, and it left them so sharp. There seems to be some good techs there. I just didn't get lucky I guess. $106 for not so good. read more

Florida is so blessed and highly favored to have been given such amazing talent .The overall experience both Sam and Tammy provide is above the many nail techs I have been to.Their work shows each and every time .I have never been disappointed.Sam has been booked months in advanced because of his pristine nail art .The art comes alive in each nail.Tammy work is pure perfection.I always leave the salon feeling like they care and have love for what they do . read more

Had a great experience today!! Called and was able to get 3 of us in. They had a 15% off going on for students, and I thought the prices seemed very reasonable. Alla, blonde woman, gave me one of the best foot massage ever. She even fixed my toe when I hit it while drying. Definitely recommend. read more

My friend talked me into my 1st pedi after a long few days at the parks. He did a lot of research, said we don't want a sketchy one. We got the reflexology therapy package & my legs felt like jello when the staff was done. Then the beautiful color added to my toes & fingers topped it off. I feel very pampered today. Very friendly staff, great service, clean, bright, very relaxing, reasonably priced. I'm ready to take on the parks again. I will be adding this to my must do next visit to Orlando! read more

I have given this place so many chances and they always mess up. The final straw was when I got a $60 dollar mani/pedi ( gel nails ) and I left looking like the photo below it took two and a half hours for that. It was horrible the nail tech was nice but I didn't even know what to do after almost two and a half hours sitting there I couldn't wait to leave and was not about to have another tech redo everything. Just stay away it's soooooo inconsistent and by the next day half of it is chipped. Like look at my nails I walked out of the nail salon like that! I will spare you the horros of what the pedicure looked like. Just go somewhere else I know I'm never stepping foot back there again. read more

Nail Place - A horrible gel mani - Nail Salons Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Sam & Tammy are the most amazing nail techs I have ever had. When they decided to leave NJ I was so bummed. I still can't find someone that even comes close to them. I always had the best nails. People would stop me to take pics and ask where I went. Unfortunately, I no longer have a way to get to my old photos since my old instragram was hacked. So i can't post them. Sam always had me ready for nights outs. We miss you guys! read more

They do nails decently. But do NOT get waxed here. Do not get eyebrows or Brazilian waxed here. They are not certified. So not sure why they would do waxing to begin with. Their waxing station isn't all that sanitary either. They messed up my eyebrows and left a patchy work on my Brazilian and didn't even do a full wax. It was a nightmare. read more

Nail Place - Simple white, gel nails with a bit of silver glitter. - Nail Salons Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This is the best nail salon I ever ever tried in United States. I have had so many bad experiences but this salon seems to be great. I did mani/pedi and waxing. Lady was very nice and friendly, did a really good job. She was slow and paid attention to every single thing, I had great feet massage for about 10 minutes! They don't do that anywehre else. I was very impressed. The salon also looks beautiful, they have TV and magazines, many many nail polishes to choose from. Loved it! Plus, it wasn't busy, I could just walk in without any wait. Also the prices are super good, mani/pedi - $35.00. Nice. read more

This place is the absolute best! I have been going here for a while and went yesterday to get my nails done and decided to do a design (which I never do). They did a great job with design, but it was just not for me and I was not happy with it. I went back in today and asked if they could redo them and they redid them with no issue and were so nice about it! This just shows why I love coming to this place and why I will always come back! read more

I went there yesterday since it's really nearby where we are staying while my husband is having a haircut next door. Convenient location, good service & place, and nice staff. I didn't ask for them to remove my ingrown but they did anyways on the pedi. Gel manicure was very good. I had a chip nail on the thumb when we went to the beach the day prior and after they did it I couldn't tell at all that it was a bad nail. Like any place they matched my hand nail polish to my feet and it was perfect. Will be back whenever I'm around the area. They do not rush you, they paint the nails very keenly and carefully. Thank you! read more

This place is just so so. I was looking for a nail shop in the area for a gel manicure as mine needed a change. On the plus side there was no wait time which was great and the place itself is spacious. They also have a lot of colours to choose from. On the downside, the colour I chose was not the same shade once applied. I chose something matte that was more beige yet it came out shiny and pink. So I think the technician just grabbed the closest colour off the shelf and not the one I actually chose. I also did not like the fact that they made me soak my fingers in the acetone to remove my old shellac mani. I prefer them to wrap my nails with cotton and foil so the acetone does not dry out my skin. It was a male technician who did my mani. He did an ok job. However some debris got stuck on my left thumb half way through the mani and I showed it to him and he said he would remove it but he never did. So now I have a new gel manicure with some crap stuck in the thumb nail - not cool. In the end I paid $25 for just a colour change that did not include a full manicure. I would not return here even if I were staying in the area. I saw a few other places nearby so in the future I would try somewhere else before returning here. read more

I'm in town for work. My gel manicure was growing out. Went in for a color change and they looked WORSE when I left. I told the lady I wasn't happy with the way the gel set, the paint around the edges was very uneven and had what looked like bubbles in a few nails. She said oh that's normal top coat and you'll never know. Well I told her I still didn't like the way they looked when she was done. She never came to the counter to talk to me, had a guy ring me up and charged me the full amount. Very unhappy and will never go back. I was better off with my grown out perfectly executed pink gel that I went in with. read more

I stopped in a few weeks ago while entertaining friends during a resort stay. My friend needed a pedicure and her nails done. She talked me into getting my nails done too. I hadn't had my nails done in quite a few years. I was concerned about the process ruining my own nails and didn't want tips added. A employee named Henna talked me into getting a dip powder color treatment done and I loved it. It was beautiful and it felt totally natural just protective to my own nails. It lasted for a long time even as my nails grew out. I am heading back there to get them done again before my next event. I'm rough on my hand and do a lot with them and this held up so very well. I recommend this to anyone trying to protect their natural nails. I hope to see Henna again today for my second visit. It's a drive for me but worth it. Also Henna has a very nice personality and I was treated well by everyone their. They were extremely helpful. By the way did I say I'm handicapped and was on a scooter with a service dog. They were very accommodating to me. Please give them a try and ask for Henna. read more

First of all, don't expect to be treated nicely. They're not bad people, they're just quiet chinese people that go straight to work, no making friends or joking around. I really like how my nails look from a distance, but when you take a close look they just dont make the cut. They dont look natural, they look super fake. Also, I can already tell that they wont last very long. I'm used to getting lasting manicures but this is not one of those, I'm pretty sure. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you're in a total hurry and need a full set RIGHT NOW and no place else has a spot. Just dont do it. Dont waste your money. read more

Not a welcoming or friendly staff. Went in for 1 nail repair (and initially wanted a fill-in); asked for matte and a chrome color to woman doing a pedicure & received an inaudible answer before she pointed at a station and told me to sit. Asked another technician the same question and was told "No" to both then said for me to ask "him" (no name, just "him"). A moment later, a gentleman technician walked out to repair my nail. He didn't speak except to tell me that it's $2 more JUST to have the nail filed in a coffin shape to match my existing set. A charge for a file style???? He seemed rushed, very annoyed that I was there and didn't bother to remove his earbuds. He was quick though, but unfortunately it was because he "cut corners" and didn't properly repair it (no nail primer or antiseptic). Then at the end he pulls out a matte top coat....alittle confusing. The end result: awful, streaky and spotty. Crappy experience all together- good thing I was only there for about 15 mins. read more

I was super disappointed coming here... when I walked in I said hi to the lady at the front and she looked at me then looked away... after a little bit she paused her headphones and asked me what I wanted. I told her "I'd like a full set" she said "did you call?" I said no. There was nobody there but me and the employees and they weren't closing for another 3 hours. She had me pick a color and then asked me to sit down. She rushed through doing my nails and I have no idea why. One client came in from the time I was there to the time I left and there were 3 nail techs. I showed her a picture of the shape (almond) she even repeated "almond" but made them all different shapes mostly round. She painted one hand 3 times and the other 2. The painting was so bumpy and just didn't look good. It was a simple one color job. Then she tells me to go to the dryer, which she had me sitting at for almost 40 minutes. I saw she was working on someone so I didn't want to say anything but then I noticed one nail tech sitting reading a book and the other one just arranging a flower pot. I got up with my stuff to where she finally said "oh it'll be $35" never again will I come here. read more
