I have wrestled with making this review but I am about giving good feedback to a business so that there can be growth and everyone gets better. First, I have been frequenting this nail salon for several months (every couple weeks). This place can be the best or worst experience depending on the person you get. There are a couple great people here (bin is one of them). I write this review to let the company know about a day gone so wrong I will never return. My sister-in-law was in town and I told I knew a great place! I left embarrassed and unhappy with my nails. She also left unhappy and spending way more than ever expected. Here are the events that took place that day. 1. We came in and after reviewing the pricing menu, I noticed that her full set was $5 more than the online price. We weren't upset it was $5. 2. We were sat down in chairs (not a drink offered which is unusual for this place) I told her they offered drinks. 3. My nails soaked in acetone for over 30 minutes while I waited for someone. My brother-in-law got a pedicure and he was done before my nails were out of acetone. I pulled them out because it was getting uncomfortable and was told to put them back. I was then asked if I had ever had dip before. I had dip on my nails at the time. The guy about to do my nails seemed irritated at this point and It only got worse. 4. I started coughing due to a tickle in my throat and asked for water. I got an eye roll and he came back with 2 waters and the question "is this enough?!" 5. My sister-in-law asked for a new set and the guy began reshaping the set she had. She looked at me confused. When she finally noticed he wasn't doing a new set she told him and he got upset. He then told the front desk to charge her for the mistake. But the guy who seated us must not have told him or he didn't hear. I heard her ask. The person then did not speak to her for the rest of the visit. 6. Meanwhile, I got several cuts on my fingers from my person being too rough. He was clearly irritated. That was a first for this place. 7. My dip was super thick sitting way up above my fingers and when he asked if I liked it I said it was too thick. I asked him to file it down. He made up a reason it should be that way. I was over the experience at this point. I just said ok. 8. My sister-in-law accidentally touched her fingers together as they were drying ‍ all she would have needed was a clear coat run over to smooth it out. She asked her guy if he could fix it and his response was "i'm with a client". 9. Finally, due to the increase in price of a full set my sister-in-law decided to not get gel on top of her full set. They charged her for this even though she said she didn't want it to save the money. She also did not get gel. She didn't know until we left about the charge because the guy at the front asked if we were happy. My sister-in-law said nothIng but I spoke up about her messed up nail. He said we should have just asked to have it fixed. I said we did and were told no. He then whisked her off to have someone fix it. My brother-in-law not knowing what she got, paid for the bill with the extra charges. I asked in the car if I could go back in and let them know. My sister-in-law said "I just want to leave. I will get them redone somewhere else." If it had just been me that's one thing but the experience was so bad and embarrassing. Throughout the entire thing I kept saying sorry to the person working on my nails. I am not sure why, I just felt terrible about being so irritating to him. This place can be great! How have I never reviewed Nail Luxe?! I love, love, love Nail Luxe. I always see Sean or Kristi who both handle my slightly curved big toes' cuticles extremely well - challenging because they're not truly ingrown and they just know exactly how to make them feel better! That part of the pedicure in and of itself is worth me being a repeat customer, I cannot tell you how many other salons skimp over a really good cuticle cleaning and frankly for me, that is what it is all about! I don't really care about colors or designs, it's not my style, but I know they do both very well here too judging by what others' hands and toes look like when I'm here. Everyone here is really polite and friendly and despite being a "busier" salon, I rarely ever have to wait for a chair for a walk-in. Prices absolutely fair too - $25 ish for a basic pedicure though I usually get the deluxe around $35. The extra massage time for me is WORTH the extra $10. read more

Looked up the reviews for nail salons near me and this one had great reviews. As soon as my young daughter and I arrived we were greeted warmly. Sat down and Amy came up ready with colors in hand (sidebar: choosing a color can be so overwhelming LOL) and waited patiently until we chose the ones we wanted. I got the Deluxe Mani/Pedi and my daughter got the Kids Mani/Pedi (her first time!) Candy did my Pedicure and was gentle but accurate in making sure my toes were shaped nicely and feet feeling smooth. Amy did my gel Manicure and was just as gentle and gave a great massage! (Definitely get the Deluxe whenever you go and ask for her!) Ms. Cindy (I believe that was her name) did an amazing job on my daughter and was so patient and even did a fantastic job with the nail art my daughter chose. I even smudged my toenail and realized it while running errands. Came back minutes before they closed and Ms. Cindy fixed it without any problems! I appreciate they took the time to make sure my daughter's first nail salon experience was the best! Thank you again and look forward to returning in the future! I am in town visiting family and needed a quick pedicure. After reading several yelp reviews, I decided on Nail Luxe. I was greeted by a man and immediately shown to a pedicure chair. The woman handed me a menu and I chose the spa pedicure. She then tried to upsell me to a more pricey option which I politely declined and then she again, tried to sell me on something else that had a sugar scrub telling me all the benefits and that it would make my dry skin (I don't have dry skin) moist and soft. I again politely declined. I carry my own polish and nail strengthener with me so I handed it to her. She began to trim my nails and clip the dead skin that inevitably gets compacted in my right first toe. It was painful. Then she did the same thing to my left first toe. When I flinched and yelled Ow! She blamed it on my nail being embedded in my skin. Regardless, I have been getting pedicures monthly for the last 30 years and only a handful of times have I had someone hurt me when they were working on my toes. Most are compassionate but not this technician. She then proceeded to put some sort of base coat on my nails (I'm very careful of the chemicals I put into my body and when I said No, she said oh you have to have this on to prepare your nail for polish...again said no and she ignored me. I then asked what was in it and there was no answer. The polish job was so so. She didn't clear it up with a brush and remover like majority of places do. I will never be back. read more

I won't be back. I typically go to another salon and his dip nails will last me a month and never lift or get tangled in my hair. I had these nails done a week ago Friday by "De." While I liked that they do not use a machine file to take off the dipped nails, he was rough and burned my cuticles several times. I didn't say anything bc that doesn't mean the nail job will be bad. However, a week and two days later, the nails are already lifting at the base and getting caught in my hair. I tried this salon bc of the great reviews but I should've just stayed at my other salon where I know my nails will last a month (and even longer) and never snag my hair or lift! I'm so upset by this pedicure for my mom. She's 89 with terminal cancer and wanted a pedicure. I called in advance to explain her age and situation/condition. We opted for deluxe with 10 minute massage. The woman who worked on my mother was not friendly or welcoming. The first thing she did was put my moms feet in VERY VERY hot water. She's almost 90. Skin thin due to age. She weighs 100 lbs. she kept lifting them out and saying "it's to hot" and the woman kept putting them in and pointing. I again explained SHE IS BLIND. YOU WILL NEED TO SPEAK TO HER. THE WATER IS TOO HOT. Well,either she couldn't understand English or speak it or she was just rude, I'm not sure. Finally she drained some water and put some cold water in it so mom could place her feet in it. Thankfully she didn't cut her but she did run over her toes with the file which caused minor abrasions (she's on a blood thinner) but that can happen. Never once did this woman or anyone else offer my mother water, soda, anything to drink. The woman working on her frowned the whole time never making eye contact or once smiled. Just looked angry. Soo awkward. This is where I became upset. She set a timer for 10 minutes THEN placed purple lotion like product on her legs then warm towels. Then proceeded to smile and chat happily with the worker next to her (smiling with her but never my mom who was super excited to have this done. It's a huge treat when she feels well enough to do this). I watched the timer thinking "surely this isn't the 10 min massage". It was. She took towels off legs and then started the massage there was 6 minutes left to massage her legs. I took a photo at 7 minutes when I was about to go speak to manager. I think she saw flash go off and decided to start her massage. So I waited. Sure enough her massage was about about 5-6 minutes. Now mind you it's 10$ extra for a 5 min longer massage. 5 minutes is standard. So if she'd gotten standard massage I guess she'd have gotten a 30 second massage? I tried to speak to the manager who said wrap is placed on then the timer. And takes 30 seconds before massage starts. Not what happened. They couldn't seem to comprehend what I said even though I had a video too. I really just wanted her to have the massage without letting my mom know I even mentioned anything, like maybe whisper to the worker "hey massage for an extra 5 minutes". Basically what we paid for. But instead they made a huge scene even though I asked several times not to and was speaking in hushed tones. Then he went to the manicurist and asked her, this is where voices became raised. I was so embarrassed for mom and sorry I'd said anything at all. Really VERY SORRY. Manager offered me 10% off,I said I had my yelp coupon for 10%, so he offered me extra 5% lol. Whatever. It's fine. I swallowed hard when I wrote in a 12% tip which was 12% to much Plz note, behind the chairs is pure filth. Spider eggs everywhere. Hair (it's not a hair salon) and tons of dust all over the coils and cobwebs. Really dirty and not hard to miss. I was in the first chair and she was in second and it was very visible. I am not sure how this place gets so many good reviews. I almost never ever, as an elite yelper, give 1 star, but this was bad. Also my mom didn't wear flip flops (we just forgot) it's 100 degrees outside. When all was said and done,they did not have the paper or padded flip flops for her to wear. They made her go barefoot. I wanted to wait or go home and get flip flops for fear it would burn her feet. No one seemed to care and at this point she refused and walked out barefoot. Again I've never been to a salon that didn't provide these. Especially when they do take walk ins. Please heed my advise. If this is how they treat a 90 yr of woman with terminal cancer then How will they treat you? ADDENDUM TO OWNERS RESPONSE. you are false. Please don't attempt to take anything away from my review,as it is all fact. I have nothing to gain. Not looking for a free visit because I'd never come back. She never offered water and said you did not have paper flip flops or foot protection as we asked. My mother said "you mean I have to go barefoot?" Shame on you. I'm an avid yelper who routinely gives great reviews. I do not misrepresent my visits. You sir are flat out untruthful. As for the nail tech,We wouldn't know her name as she did not speak one word to us except "ya" when asked if the polish I chose was close to what she had on her fingers Incase we needed to touch up later and no when asked about flip flops. Amazing how your security cameras can catch audio. I tell you what. I will retract my comments if you message me with a time tomorrow to come in & view the video tape and sound. I went to this salon for the 1st time last week. Very clean, super efficient and standard prices. I went in just for a pedicure with my husband but ended up getting a Shellac manicure too. A week later my toes look great still but unfortunately my finger nails have chips. I am used to "no chip" manicures which typically has a 2 week no chip guarantee. I guess Shellac is different? I get similar results at other salons so I know it's not a lack of care or quality! In the end I will return to this salon for additional services because the nail salon I was going to, while closer to my home, wasn't great with their pedicure services. I was able to get a same day appointment on a Saturday and I saw quite a few walk-ins when I was there. I believe I have found my new home nail salon at Nail Luxe! read more

These people were great, never once did they scream in shear terror, then run screaming, "Break out the Makita Disk Grinder" or faint after seeing my tootsies. The chair was great and I don't usually like massage chairs, but I had this one going pretty much the entire time! The staff was also very nice and welcoming and made sure I was pleased with my services. Prices were not bad either!
