I came here on a whim a few weeks ago since my normal salon was too far to make it to during rush hour traffic. I got a gel powder set and a gel pedicure. Price wise they aren't too bad but they lack in customer service. I ended up being the last one in the salon, literally locked the door to finish my nails. The pricing was inconsistent upon my second return. I paid $40 for tips and gel powder set. When I returned to get a fill since I was satisfied worth my initial nails they attempted to charge me more claiming they had to take my tips fully off and reapply a whole new set and the removal cost would be more. I've been getting gel for over a year and half and never was charged more for the removal and a new set. They were rude and busy so I just walked out. I wouldn't suggest going there again. read more

I went here for a pedicure. They sat me at a pedicure station and I sat there for 30 min and the water got cold. Then they used tools that didn't look like they were cleaned so I had to intervene and have her use a new tools. So I am inclined not to go back. read more

This place is terrible! I spent $70 here, and purchased a nail design. I told the nail technician I didn't really want the specific design because I knew it would not last long. I took time on my day off and paid for three services. I come back the next day to get the issue resolved since I spent time and money at this location; and they were extremely rude and began arguing with me. They were very disrespectful and when I asked for a refund she grabbed the money out her purse and almost threw it at me. Then the rest of the staff began yelling at me and asked me to leave. My old nail place shut down so I've been looking for a new one this was BY FAR the worst place I took me and my little girl to get pedis and full sets and get her nails painted . Firstly she painted her toes and nails and added flowers and stones things she didn't even want (one of her regulars was there and she wanted to rush through my kids) when she went to put her in the dryer she nicked three of her nails and seen it didn't bother to fix it at all ! Mine were just as bad all different lengths and the acrylic was all over my fingers and the paint was the same way they put me under there dryer and hit it I tried to get them to fix it and they didn't acknowledge it at all. read more

I loved my first set of nails, specifically the designs on my nails done by Dede. I noticed a few careless mistakes but only I could see it, no big deal. I came back a second time and DeDe was too busy so another lady did my nails and I liked them even more because she was friendly, efficient and the quality of work was much better. On my third visit, I pointed at the station of the second nail tech but she was off so I was fine with having Dede again. The nails were just okay.... I always get mani, pedi and eyebrows. On this occasion, Dede was rushing and cut off half of my eyebrow. I had on a wig that was in my face so I didn't notice. I tipped her 30 dollars and she didn't have the respect to tell me. I'm furious! This is my face. I called the owners brother and was told I can get a credit when I come back. Who's coming back? 160 dollars to ruin my face? I'm so sad because I like the owner but these nail shops do not care about us. We are just dollar signs. They are in our communities giving us the bare minimum. I went to this place with someone who goes regularly and was really excited to come. The woman there was known for doing really good nails on her Instagram and I even saw her do an amazing piece right before my eyes! Myself however, was not going for a fancy look. I came in and got my pedicure, had to wait for 30 MINUTES and my friends feet were already half way done. But, of course I would understand. Pedicure went okay I had to be very adamant that I didn't want gel, moved on to my full set and they asked me AGAIN if I wanted gel or acrylic and I chose acrylic even though they were thoroughly insisting gel. As I'm getting my nails done, the nail tech stops 3 times in the middle of my set and even does a whole wax. She was also talking the whole time to her coworkers and ran over my skin constantly with the drill bit. SCARY! The inside of my nails still had acrylic attached and not drilled off, but she managed to drill my skin, which shows she wasn't paying attention. I was a bit disappointed because that showed she only cared about attention to detail with the nails she posts online, and not every customer. As I went to pay they tell me that they did gel on my nails after I specifically requested for Acrylic. After trying to address it and have conversations about it she still insisted that she never heard me and had me pay $43 for nails that came off in a week and damaged my cuticles and whole nail (they were very soft underneath and lost their strength.) Not to mention she barely wanted to communicate with me about this, it was very rude and she even cut me off while I was speaking to tell me the price which was outrageous for the pedicure and full set I received, so I pulled out my card and she still managed to tell me how "I was paying cash" so that I could use theit ATM after ALL OF THAT, it was a horrible experience and really messed up a lot of my day considering I walked out spending $80. I have been coming here for several months to get pedicures, manicures, and eyebrow waxing. They do a decent job on nails and USUALLY on eyebrows. I went in on this past Saturday to get my eyebrows waxed. I saw the same lady I always do and she took off most of my eyebrows for some reason. I am very angry and her response was "I left you some". Please consider going elsewhere for your eyebrow waxing needs. read more

I received a full set 10/7. Today is 10/19. I noticed last week that my nails were starting to lift. I had a full set with a natural color acrylic. Yesterday I was able to peel the full nail off of my mail with ease. Today I was able to lift all of the other nails off of my nail bed with the acrylic and fake nail still in tact! Went there yesterday at 5:45 pm ish and I got there at 5:50 pm and I asked for a pedicure and the lady sat me and started the water and at 6:05 she got up and walked to the break room in the back and never came back . It was 6:25 and no one started with me and that lady didn't bother to tell me anything. Never been to a place where they lacked so much profesional. I come from San Diego and all I need is a nail place, I started putting my socks and the guy came up to me and said oh hold on miss what happened and I said honestly it's been more than 20 minutes so I'm just going to leave . Keep in mind in the minutes that I was waiting a lady had walked in and her nails were already getting started while I was still getting my toes soaked. Okay I'll be the first to review this place. I love it. I'm very picky with my nails. Especially since I'm coming from such great artist in Las Vegas. I'm not familiar with the Male's name there but he is great as well as a woman named Nancy. I'm a weight lifter so I always chip my nails. They repair it for a cheap fee and do an amazing job with building it back up without have to rip off your entire acrylic to do so. Huge fan of that since I absolutely hate the pain of having to get them off. I have yet to have them do any intricate designs like 3D or the typical flowers but with just the standard paint job. They do great. Even though their color amount is limited. I still give them a 5 out of 5 because they make you feel comfortable and do not manage to hurt you when doing your nails. read more

So, I normally go to wonder nails inside greenbriar mall, which is great, but they were super busy & my best friend had other plans so we weren't trying to wait for so long. Since this places was close, we decided to try them out. When we first walked in, the salon looked nice and normally when you walk into a place of service, you get greeted and asked "how can I help".... we stood there for a few minutes before we were greeted... their door dings when you walk in. They were a little busy, so we let it go. Next, some of their prices were crazy and then the ladies there were watching us every second we were looking at their price board, which is kinda confusing, while trying to choose our colors & they kept rushing us to sit down, which by the way, they have like 3 waiting chairs that were all taken so not too sure where exactly they wanted us to sit. We ended up walking out because we decided to wait at my normal salon. One of the ladies chased us down in the parking lot about getting serviced, leaving the current client she was working on at the station. I found the whole experience very unprofessional and I won't be returning. I can have an hour wait at my salon before I'll go there again. read more

I am shocked by the reviews I have read about Nails First! I have been coming to Nails first for many years sporadically and the only issue I have ever experienced was once when the nail technician grabbed the color for the other client beside me (pedicure) and painted my nails with it. I didn't mind so much as it was something different :) Other than that no issues what so ever. I went in today and received a wonderful pedicure from George, who is almost always there, and I love it!!!! I always ask for him, he always does an exceptional job and makes sure your color is just right. I have always been very pleased with his work both mani and pedi. This nail salon is spotless!!! You see them cleaning the foot tubs right after they have been used and everything else is very neat and clean! Prices are very fair. My pedi cost $25 today and George did a surpurb job!! If you said I wasn't a tough critic, you would be wrong. read more

I phoned in prior to coming in during my lunch break. The person on the phone was very friendly and helpful which was refreshing and welcoming. I inquired about a super basic French manicure and the friendly lady kindly let me know that it would only be $7 and assured me that I wouldn't need a reservation. Right she was! Solyn was the technician who performed a beautiful and neat job on my nails. She was also very polite and nice, maintained a simple chat and made sure to get me out of there on time. I will definitely be back! PS The only thing that the owner may want to change is the required debit/credit card minimum which is $8 when ,for instance, my service was only $7. I had to calm down a bit before I wrote this review, but if I can save you $40 worth of a bad experience, I think it's worth it. To start off, I am having a complicated pregnancy and am 35 weeks, and all I wanted was a little something nice before I can't get around anymore. The manicure was serious garbage. She soaked my hands in cold water that I know she didn't grab before I sat down. She cut one of my nails so short it's painful, and used tools that had not been cleaned. I can't phantom that nail files are terribly expensive, but she used one that had plainly been well used (should have said something at thus point, I know.) So, the manicure part was really bad, very dissapointed. Then, she started to paint. Seriously, I have never been offended by someone painting my nails before, but I could've done a better job. There was paint all over my cuticles and on my fingers. She tried to clean it up with nail polish remover but failed at that as well. Pedicure. Well, I was hopeful with a different technition that it would be better, I was mistaken. The women kept telling me how big I was (was guessing at how much weight I had put on! Offensive.) and talked through the ENTIRE 45 minutes. Literally not even 1 minute of relaxation because she needed to tell me how I needed a natural birth. At any rate, the experience was the farthest thing from relaxing. And the pedicure was also garbage. The cut my nails SO short, those hurt as well. I can't tell you how upset I was about the paint job. She put so much paint on my nails it ran down my toes. Seriously gobbed it on there. Moral of the story, seriously avoid this place. You'll just leave upset and $40 poorer. read more

Went here last week for a pedicure. The man who did my pedicure did a horrible job. It was the worst pedicure I've ever received. He did not take his time. He didn't use the pumice stone on all areas of the bottom of the foot that needed it. He didn't evenly file my nails, & he only put lotion on one of my legs. read more

My tech was SO RUDE!!! I was asked by the man up front the type of nails I have. I wanted a $15 "acrylic fill". Sitting with her, she began asking lots of questions I didn't understand. If your customer doesn't understand you, you should find a middle person that can probably explain to them better. She instead would turn to her coworkers and laugh. This place used to be great. My mother and I go every month for spa pedicures, $40, and this visit was definitely NOT worth it. They only had 3 people working on a sunday, and they let my mother sit her feet in Luke-warm water for almost an hour. When someone was finally ready to do my mother's nails, she took another customer that came in after us, claiming she had made an appointment. BUT they JUST said they don't accept appointments on the weekends. I don't understand. We used to love to come here when George worked here. Friendly people (sometimes), just not worth the money. A waste of my birthday and I'll start looking for a new salon to go to. read more
