After a rough night walking home in a blizzard through the slushy streets in high heels from a New Year's Eve wedding, I woke up the next day dreaming of a relaxing pedicure. It was New Year's Day, and I started looking online and found a salon that said it was open Sundays...so pushing my luck with the holiday, I call, and score an appointment! I even managed to get one for my husband to have a pedicure too....and then I figured, may as well get a gel nail fill too! Everyone here is super friendly and accommodating, we all chatted the whole time and really enjoyed our experience. We decided to treat ourselves to their platinum pedicures, which is the full meal deal..scrub, masque, lotion, paraffin wraps and polish. Very comfortable chairs as well. Even my gel nail fill was a step above my usual french tip, simple, boring thing I do. I was shown a new technique called 'baby boomer nails' and thought, why not? Glad I did, they look so awesome and I think they will grow out beautifully too. To sum up the experience...We came in as customers and left feeling like friends. In 5 years living in Calgary (and going to dozens and dozens of different nail salons) I can finally say I found my special nail place!! read more

I have been a loyal client of Nail It since they started. Every time, my nails are handled with care and concern. Despite what others have said about the owner, she is open to hearing what she can do to improve your experience and will do her utmost to achieve what you'd like to see different. I have in fact had my nails done, only for Anna to ask someone to redo the ones that were not done up to her gold standard. I was referred here by a friend and have continued to refer my own friends and family for the last year. Every single one of them (about 10 people total), have told me how wonderful their experience was and have returned. They do their best to be sterile by giving you your own file and buffer. Remember to bring it back each time or be charged $1 extra. Finding a salon that is actually sterile and goes to great lengths to ensure your health and safety is becoming increasingly rare in Calgary -- something I've spoken with Alberta Health Services about. I greatly value this about Nail It! It is more pricey but the quality of the product and the level of service is worth the treat. read more

Went there 2 Friday's ago, paid $58 and the day after my pinky finger looked like it was gonna break, so I went in again and asked for them to fix it. The girl put more gel on it instead of just replacing the nail and said it is fixed now. I was reluctant to believe her, since most places will just replace the entire nail. The next day the nail fell off completely. I noticed 2 days after that the index finger on the same hand was close to breaking too as well as my middle finger on the other hand. Why did I pay almost $60 for something that didn't even last me a week? And it's like every time I go there too! So done with this place!! The place close to my work charges $40 a fill and it lasts almost a month read more

Location is amazing and located right in the core. It was my first time, going to nail it salon and I was so impressed with the salon. They staff were super friendly and funny. The salon was very clean and had various options/packages for nail options. I got the golden mani/pedi and it was fantastic. Especially, the clay that they used to add extra moisture to the skin. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this salon to anyone. They even have an express mani/pedi that would be great for people during lunch hours. It has been a week since I got my nails done and they still look PERFECT! Nail it Salon really did NAIL IT! read more

I love Nail it Salon. The atmosphere is peaceful, warm, and clean. You are greeted in a friendly manner and I have been there a couple of times now and my appointments are always on time. The nail artists are amazing. True artists. I like different kinds of designs and they are very enthusiastic about trying out new styles on my nails (which have turned out fabulously!) everyone is asking me where I go to get them done :-) I am always excited about coming back, they help me feel like a princess! I also really appreciate the water with lemon they offer. It is a relaxing experience which reminds me that I AM a goddess! Thanks Nail it Salon read more

I was in the area looking I get my nails done, called and asked if they would accept a walk-in within the next five minutes, and they agreed! When I got there I noticed how beautiful the shop was inside. Very chic and modern, as well as exceptionally clean! Tones of nail colours to choose from. I received a shellac manicure, the whole service was completed in a timely fashion, and I loved my nails afterwards! Staff was accommodating and friendly, and gave me a $10 coupon for my next visit in response to me telling them that my birthday was in a few days. I 10/10 reccomend booking your next nail appointment here! read more

I have been coming here pretty much since it opened. It is always super clean and the staff is always friendly. Anna is my go to nail tech. The things she can do for your nails is unbelievable. People know me for my nails, I am always getting complimented on them. The places I would go to before would use cheap crap that would break and ruin my natural nail but Nail It uses superior product so I am always happy when I leave. They also do any design you want. You show them pictures of what you want, and they do a better job. I will never go anywhere but here. read more

I go here every three weeks for my fill! They do a great job everytime, perfect shape and exactly what I ask for. I was helped by a few different women including the manager and they all did a fantastic job, constantly asking if I was comfortable and making sure I liked how my nails were coming together. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone who is picky about their nails as they do a perfect job every time! The only downside would be the location as it is sometimes hard to find parking. Also the add ons can be more on the pricey side but it's worth it! read more

Amazing service!!!! The first time I went there I couldn't believe how clean and trendy the salon was. The staff are super friendly and made sure that my visit was comfortable. The staff are very educated and are very good at what they do, as well as extremely personable. I have since then returned a second time to get my nails filled, prior to my return I did not have any chips or damages in my nails. I will definitely return to this salon. Great service!! Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get their nails done. read more

THE BEST I just got into town from Vancouver and broke 2 nails, and the salon took me in even though they were booked. I was so lucky to get RIDA because she took such care and attention to the work. Not quickly trying to rush, but care and pride in the work she does. Not only is she amazing at nails, she also made me feel welcome and relaxed. Listened, chatted and made me feel at home. I wish I lived here to go to this salon for RIDA. Thank you to everyone who works there as well, you really changed my day! read more

This was my first ever time getting acrylics and I will definitely have a hard time going back to normal (IF I ever do haha)! They did such an amazing job and their prices are so affordable (compared to other acrylic nail places that charge $100+, they only charged me $65)! I also got a express pedicure here and wow- they sure did a great job. They even fit in an emergency pedicure for my mom! Overall they offer great prices, great service and amazing product so what's not to like?? read more

I had a fantastic experience at Nail It Salon! I was able to book an appointment the same day with the technician that Id requested. Rida did my nails and they were absolutely perfect, you can really tell she takes pride in the quality of her work. I could not be happier with the experience and how they turned out :). All the staff were friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was relaxing and everything from the tools to the bathroom were clean. I will definitely be going back! read more

I am on vacation in Calgary and wanted to get a full new set of nails. I found the salon on yelp and me and my friend went there without an appointment and got our nails done immediately! :-) the salon is absolutely beautiful, very clean and tasteful. The staff is more than nice and caring and the service is absolutely top. The result of my nails is awesome, a full new set with tips, shellack etc is $60, more than okay for the nice result. Can recommend this salon. 10/10 read more

I went here after class one day to try it out because it's close. It's very chic inside and really gives that "high end" salon vibe. Rida did my nails and she was amazing. So personable and takes a lot of care in doing your nails. Had much attention to detail. It's about 10% more expensive than a suburban salon but definitely worth it. They treated me like a true guest and offered me coffee and water and kept the small chat going. I'll be back. read more

My 5 year old daughter was visiting my office downtown this week & the friendly staff at Nail IT made her feel like a princess by painting her nails with all sorts of custom designs of hearts, music symbols, stars and rainbows. She spent all day today at school showing off to her friends and the experience was a real treat for her. I know where the next princess birthday party will be... read more
