i'm only giving this place 4 stars because when i did my nails i was told that it would cost 50 plus 10 to paint them, and when i asked for the coffin shape she charged extra 5 dollars, since she's already going to file the nails why would she charge 5 extra? anyway, other than this everything was amazing, my nails are looking really good and she was really careful with the drill, definitely recommend. read more

This place is the worst. There are definitely some unlicensed people working here!! I left with my hands in much worse condition than when I entered. My cuticles were completely shredded by the "manicurist" who stared into space while she haphazardly clipped away without softening them or anything. I left with 8 bloody, torn fingernails (and cuticles that continued to bleed for the next 48 hours) that the woman would have just painted right over had I not stopped her! Stay away! read more

Management of Best Nails recently changed. I do not remember the name of the woman who took over, but she is a true artist with nails! I have been going to this salon for over a year now and I was hesitant about the management change, but it has worked out amazingly. I have tried a couple different nail shapes now and they always turn out flawless. My nails look perfect when I leave the salon and continue to look perfect for weeks after. They do such a good job I do not have to go back as frequently. Their pedicures are great too and if they are not busy they will do your mani-pedi at the same time to get you out quicker. Definitely make an appointment as they are getting busier. Make sure you confirm what day you want, they have made booking mistakes before - honest mistake, but inconvenient. Very friendly and they are kind to their repeat customers. I recently tried another salon closer to my house for convenience sake, and it was a mistake. I missed the perfect shape from Best Nails, and will happily venture the extra distance for the quality they offer. Keep up the good work! read more

This place is pretty grungy. I should have realized when the nail salon down the street was packed and no one else was here on a Saturday afternoon. They are nice but were inconsistent with quality (one actually spent a few minutes fixing things the other had done). There was no drying station and the chairs are uncomfortable. I'd avoid if you can. read more

Used to go there all the time, loved it... Went back and the girls ate amazingly nice all but was so so disappointed with the nail set. She actually thought with me on the length I asked for, finally cuts them shorter than I wanted them, then of course filled them even shorter still, to the length she wanted, such bs. I said throughout I was unhappy with the length, and was completely ignored. Umm, but I'm the one paying arent I?? Go to pay and she charges an extra $5 bc they are pointy... What?? Sadly, won't risk going there and being dissatisfied again. Really sucks bc I loved it there in l the beginning. read more

This is my second time visiting Best Nail Studio. My first experience was very good, this is why I chose to came back. I went in on Monday to get my nails done and they said they were busy and turned me down so I came back the day after. I called in advanced to book an appointment and the lady was very pushy about me coming in 15 minutes prior. I told her I was unable to and she confirmed the time. I came in at my scheduled time, she answered her cell phone twice while I was there. A customer came in for her appointment, they wrote it down wrong and turned her down because only one of the two girls working there knew how to do gel nails. Clearly they were unlicensed. The lady doing my nails made me feel bad about my appointment because she couldn't schedule properly and the other girl didn't know how to do gel. My nails look like some one glued popsicle sticks to my fingers, they're straight and stiff as a board. She had to fix my index finger but kept comparing size with my opposite middle finger. Clearly she had no idea what she was doing. I originally asked for a design but she didn't do it. I am extremely unimpressed with how I was treated at Best Nail Studio and I will not be referring people to this 'nail studio'. I can't wait for my nails to grow out so I can get these awful things removed and go somewhere else. read more

The ladies her are all so very gracious and kind when I have been in for my visits. They've done a great job on my nails and I splurge for leg massages while I'm there. They charge $1/minute so you can choose a short or long massage to suit your needs. Would highly recommend visiting here! read more

I used to love coming here! I like to support local smaller business as I am an owner of a hair salon myself! The girls are so friendly and Michelle does a such a wonderful job with nails, as they are long lasting! Unfortunately the last few visits have been more than disappointing and in particular the last one! Me and my mom went for pedicures! We arrived at 12 noon and they were over by 12:25. I would be ok with that if it were an express price, but the pedis are $60 and for that price you should get a real spa experience and it should last at least 45 mins (do some more cuticle work, pumice or massage longer)! On top of that, it was a mediocre pedi at best and 5 days later is already chipping! The one lady accidentally cut my moms skin, And it was bleeding pretty bad. I get it...It happens sometimes, but she just kept going on with the pedi, until be we're finally like...ummmm can you please address that? I had a pre booked nail fill booked right after and my mom was staying to wait with me! I moved myself over to the nail area and proceeded to sit there for 10 mins while the staff were practicing eye lash extensions on a mannequin! It literally felt like me and my mom weren't even there to them! I couldn't believe that I wasn't guided into my next service and being taken care of! It's not like I last minute requested this, it was pre booked! I had to finally say something to get her to come over and start my nails! I'm sorry but you have guests in your place of business spending money! Great they are leaning new things and practicing, but Please schedule training at a time when you do not have paying people in your business!! There are high end spas in the city that charge only a few dollars more. Either adjust your pricing as an express place or step up the service! Also the final straw for me this visit was the horrific cleanliness factor! I am very surprised no one has commented on this yet or that Alberta health has not shut them down until they have addressed it! Everything in there has a thick layer of dust and dirt! The nail tables, jars, cubbies, tools and polishes are filthy! When I sat down at the nail table there were used tools and towels scattered around and she just walked right over and started using them on me! You look around and the staff are on their phones! No pride in the space and obviously no training in macro/micro sanitization! Very nice girls! Very poorly run :( It was an overall terrible experience and an expensive one! I won't be back! read more
