Came for a walk in regular manicure. At the time it seemed like they were close to capacity- every pedicure recliner was taken, but they still managed to get to me with just a five minute wait. My girl was fast and did an excellent job. Good price at around $15 USD. I'd recommend an appointment just to be safe, but they've got a large staff of talented girls working that will be able to accommodate most walk ins. read more

I work in the medical field and I am required to NOT wear polish so I get the actual Man-acure and Man-pedicure and I only pay $40 for both! It's amazing and with that price I visit once a month. Finding a consistently good nail salon is an art in itself!! Western Nails ticks off all the boxes for me. I didn't want to write this review until I visited multiple times, but they really are great! Everyone is friendly and you can tell they really care about making sure they do a good job every time. I always leave feeling great about the shape and durability of my nails! The pricing is on par with most other salons, but I would say it's very reasonable for the quality and they never add any hidden charges. They also take walk-ins but I always call first and have never been turned away for a same-day appointment :) read more

I just had my first experience at this salon and will definitely be back and soon. I ended up here because it was close towhere i was, it was open and they were willing to fit me in to fix two broken nails at a moments notice even though it was close to their closing time. I was impressed with their attention to my comfort, the various staff offered me reading material and beverages at least twice. I ended up getting a full gel fill in addition to my repair and they were absolutely open to my request to have colored tips with sparkle overlay and took the time to teach me quite a bit about shellac. The salon was very clean, relaxed and welcoming. I will be back this week for a pedi and a wax and am happy to drive 20 minutes to do so. read more

This was the absolute worst nail salon I had ever been to. The first time I went the lady over-filed my nails so bad that I had to go to bed with ice packets over my hands for 3 days straight. No other place has ever hurt me like this. The shapes they made my nails were crooked and unattractive and the lady blamed me for it, saying I have too crooked of a middle finger, but it is not crooked since I shape my nails perfectly straight every time, and it is only the one finger that is crooked so there was definitely no excuse for her terrible job of my other nails. I had gotten a french tip but my nails were very clearly see through afterwards and that was not what I requested in any way, but i couldn't tell until I got home which made me very self-conscious since these nails were for my graduation. The prices are also horrible. I got something that according to the price board would be only i believe 60 dollars? maybe 65 not quite sure, and I got no extras, just the basic white tip which was already at a set price, but when i finished my price was 85-90 before tip. They were very dismissive when I told them this is unacceptable, and made me pay in full. Bad business, and very very dirty stations, she did only a quick dusting of the table before bringing me over after the lady she had just finished up with. They have no website for pricing and they are incredibly vague over the phone. read more

I originally had no issues getting gel nails until the Technician from Airdrie couldn't continue to work there. The new Technician couldn't prevent my nails from separating. Once Vinnie started to work at Western Nails, this issue is almost solved. My husband simply glues them together. However, my Pedicure was a disappointment. There is no massage on calves of the legs either. The lady who did my Pedicure insisted on putting the incorrect gel colour as a base coat, followed by only one coat of the correct gel colour. Consequently the gel flew off of my small toe. I stopped in a few days later for a correction. Tyanna, the owner said, "Do you mind waiting 20mins?" I said, "No, I wouldn't mind." I thought we agreed another coat would be added to all my toes as well. That was not to be. Finally after after waiting forty mins, I asked, "Do you know how much longer it will be?" She must have thought it wouldn't look very good to her other customers to keep me waiting much longer so after keeping me waiting another 10 mins, she put one more coat of Gel on the one toe. Tyanna didn't impress me that day. I surmised, she is holding a grudge from all the trouble I had with my nails originally as her previous Technicians didn't know how to keep nails from separating. sj I would give them 3 stars out of five read more

I really had hoped this place would get better. I really wanted to like this nail salon. I came here after my girl moved here from another nail salon. However, after a few odd business practices I will not be coming back. The first time I saw her, she did a fantastic job. The entire manicure with shellac was $30. I thought wow! What a deal. My mom had another lady who used her own finger to scrape my mother's nails. Talk about not being very hygenic. The second time I booked, I wanted a mani and pedi with my girl. They confirmed my date and times with me. When I arrived, I learned that I only had an hour with her. So then I had to make a last minute booking with another girl for my pedi. I didn't say anything just that I wasn't impressed. I ended up paying almost $90 for both! I'm pretty sure they make up their own prices. I didn't have anything complicated or any designs! So my mani went up $15 from 3 weeks prior?! The last time I booked the girl on the phone confirmed that I would be with my girl. I just wanted to fix my ONE chipped nail. Well I arrived to find out my girl called in sick. There was no phone call of acknowledgement so that I wouldn't have to drive all the way over. The manager said it was because the girl never took down my number; I'm pretty sure they did. I had my one finger fixed. They charged me $5.25! I couldn't believe it. I have NEVER paid to have a nail fixed. They said because it was over one week, (a week and a half) they had to charge me ; it was "policy". So there was no apology for my girl not showing up and then they charged me?!?!?! They didn't think it was more important to maintain a relationship or clients. Not a good business model. I'm sad to have to leave my girl because she was soo good, but this place is completely unprofessional and full of excuses. I will NOT be back. read more

My first time going to Western Nails a couple of days ago, and I had a great experience! The lady who did my nails finished very quickly and they looked great! Probably the fastest nail appointment I've ever had. Unfortunately, the next day the nail polish on a couple nails began to bubble and one flaked off. I went in again the following day, and they fixed it right away, and even redid a couple other nails! I forgot to ask for her name, but she told me that if any other nails had problems, to come see her again! Its a longer drive to get here from my place, but definitely worth it! read more

Went to this salon about two weeks ago. Got a full acrylic set and a pedicure. Had to go back for a fix on 7 out ten nails, one of which fell off after three days. My nails began to lift after just two days. Got them fixed the following weekend. The woman used a different acrylic. Stronger she said. Here we are a week later and again within a few days they were lifting, I have gotten my nails done in the past and never had this happen. Three of my acrylic nails have fallen off..... I don't have a labor job, I work in an office. I am not being rough on my hands. Pedicure was ok I could have done it just as well myself. This place came recommended by friends, the beginning of my experience here was great. My pedicure felt great and I was happy. But once they got busy, they just rushed through my manicure. I paid for shellac which should take approx 45 minutes, it was done in under 20 minutes. And I can see why- because my nails on my right hand look like they weren't even touched! But they put so much oil on them before I left I couldn't tell, once I washed the oil off it was VERY obvious they weren't done properly. Very Disappointing. It's close to me but I rather drive across town to ensure I actually get what I pay for next time. read more

As a once regular of this nail spa, I was disappointed by my most recent experience. Previously they had me wait 35 minutes for a pedicure only to have the staff member not show up and I ended up walking out as I had a previous engagement - no apologies or attempt to make the situation right. However, I thought I'd give it a second opportunity to right a wrong. Unfortunately they failed again. Apparently, 'regulars' receive a better service than those they don't see as often. My pedicure was fast and ok but watching another pedi after mine - the person whom was warmly greeted - lasted significantly longer and with more hands-on attention. The employee doing my pedi was friendly and made small talk. Pedicure - ok. Next came the 'manicure'. This consisted of the manicurist not saying a word nor sharing a smile with me. She clipped my nails much too short - so short that my thumbs have at least 1/8" of skin visible above the nail - significantly shorter than I requested. As she was putting the shellac on my nails, I had to request that she remove a spot of colour on my nail she had missed - not a good look on a french manicure. While I had requested a full manicure, I received a colour change as she was in a rush to get to her next client. Manicure - major fail. Unfortunately this will be the last opportunity for this spa - the quality has dropped significantly as has the friendliness that used to be, and the salon is not as clean as it was originally. It's a shame because I believe Tiana to be very nice and professional however she needs to improve the quality of her staff and the services they are providing. At this point, the only good thing about this spa is the price - then again, you get what you pay for. read more

I have been loyally coming here since the first opened and they stole me away from my previous favourite place with the most amazing foot and leg massage during my pedicure! It's nicely designed, calm, clean and boasts wonderful massage chairs. At $35 for a pedicure they give you a spa experience...you would pay 3x that in an expensice spa for the same service! Vey nice ladies working there who all do good quality polish applcations and I'm a little picky with how perfect the polish should look...never a complaint here. My friend one day got a manacure and eyebrow wax too, they both also turned out great. I will return! read more

Yes, I'll give it to them, they do a good job at a good price. However, I would rather pay an extra $10.00 than wait half an hour EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT! This has happened to me 5+ times and that is why I will not be returning. When people come to nail salons they expect a relaxing time and great service. That is not the case at Western Nails & Spa. I come to spend time with my friend and get our nails and toes done, mine was simple I just wanted both shalac done and that was going great until i realized how fast she was going, I get she has other clients to attend but in the moment she was dealing with one. The polish on my toes were fine it was the whole process of get my feet clean and nice done everything was so fast and rushed and I ajusted myself at times when she asked I had no problem what so ever. The massage for both legs and arms was disappointing. That is what clients love, a good massage. NO words. NONE. She cut my cuticle twice because she was going to damn fast and then she thought to put glue on it ! HELLOOOOO????!!! At the end my total was $77 ... I told the girl you're hurting me and please be careful its in pain. NOTHING, just went rough.... this to me was not relaxing and I would never recommend you guys to anyone for anything. read more

The lady (Jenny) who helped me did a great job! She fixed the shape of my nails, engaged me in conversation and made me feel pampered. Best pedicure I've ever had! I walked in this moring, waited 2 minutes and was shown to my chair. I was presented with an astounding number of color choices. She paid lots of attention to the shape and health of my nails before moving onto my feet. I was treated to a wonderful leg massage as well. I've paid twice as much for less quality. I go to this salon regularly for manicures and pedicures. The staff is really friendly, especially the owner Tiana. She is very experience and if there is every anything you are unhappy with she will fix it. In fact she once saw one of her girls paint my nails and she herself was not pleased with the colour so redid it. My husband and I went for our anniversary to get mani-pedis and they even gave us a glass of wine! The prices are very reasonable as well and you will always get a nice hand or foot massage no matter how busy they are. This is the best Vietnamese-run nail salon that I have ever been to. read more

I have been to Western nails for mani-pedi's and Acrylic nails, Their prices are very reasonable and the service fantastic, they have even stayed after closing to accomidate me. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff friendly. After a couple times of going they even gave me my own "tool box" for my pedicures so as not to contract any weird fungus when I go there for a pedi.
