During my pedicure, the nail tech commented on my hairy legs even after I apologized. It's winter in Wisconsin; it happens. Then, when clipping my toenails, I apologized again since I don't get routine pedicures, and she commented about how long they were as well. It made the entire service feel uncomfortable and judgmental. When I moved on to my manicure, the tech (I didn't catch their name) accidentally cut my finger and it started bleeding. I included a photo. By that point, I honestly just wanted the appointment to be over. I hated my experience that was suppose to be relaxing. The total was $135 before tip, which is significantly higher than what I usually pay in Appleton ($90 for the same basic manicure and pedicure). For what I received, it felt overpriced. I wasn't asking for anything complicated--just simple colors, no designs, nothing extra. Overall, I left feeling like an inconvenience rather than a customer. I'm not a picky person, but based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this salon, 0/5 stars.

During a pedicure, the technician used a foot rasp (the "cheese grater" tool) on the TOPS of my toes. Despite me explaining that my skin is very sensitive and tender, she continued until I was left with bloody scrapes and blisters. Using this tool on the tops of toes is not standard practice and was incredibly painful. When I called to share my concerns and sent photos, the response was defensive and unprofessional. Instead of listening, a man spoke to me using "legal mumbo jumbo" as if I were threatening a lawsuit. He even tried to shift the blame onto me for not disclosing a medical condition, despite the fact that this tool should never be used on the tops of anyone's feet. It took months of follow-up and sending photo updates of my scarring before I was finally heard. All I wanted was an acknowledgement of the mistake and a promise to retrain the staff, but the salon turned a simple safety concern into a hostile confrontation. Proceed with caution.
