I have been going to nail flare approximately a year and a half. Started with a nail tech that left the company with out notification. I then went to an appt and established with Rebecca.
Rebecca scheduled me out 6 weeks as she was going on vacation. All other techs were booked out. They were in the process of finding 2 new people to fill the empty chairs. So I had to wait 6 weeks.
I had called into get an appt with with Rebecca to see if cancellations were available and nothing was available. I however saw maliassie who did my fill and hand only seen me once. She said, I'm not as nice as Rebecca. Which reflected in my nail charge and she expected a tip. I paid and left but thought that was rude. Malissie, took it upon herself to cancell my appt follow week. No apologies, until 10/4/2025.
Now approximately 6 weeks later I tried to make appt for a fill, I usually get a fill every 2.5 to 3.0 weeks. Then I get a textd that Rebecca had an appt in 2 days. By this time its been 5 weeks.
Between the two days I had filed what was left of my nails off and did a set at home. My product was safe clean, not as perfect.
Now the next day I get a text from nail flare that they could do a full set of nails. Instead of texting I went into the salon. I showed laura what my nails looked like and the situation. Laura checked the schedule and said there would time allowed to do my nails no problem.
I went in this morning saw tericeta at my appt. I sat down in my chair malissie turned around and said let me see your nails. I had the nails set prior removed by a professional not to do harm or damage the nail. It was the least I could do because laura made an accomidation for me. Malissie proceeded to get up in my face and tell me if I filed or picked at my nails it would do damage. (She looked at my nails, no damage.) Maliassie kept going on verbally and I said to her your just angry and looking to argue and to just stop. I told her that if she had a problem with me not to talk the way she was In front of clients and staff. She replied ok, and went back to her chair.
Tericeta did my nails 10/04/2025 and they look good. I booked (6) appts out every 2.5 to 3.0 weeks so I could be on schedule again.
I did not book with any other staff is because I was told no one wants to do my nails per Malissie. (according to malissie, everyone talked about me after I left 10/03/2025.
As I left the building I asked malissie please call me after she was done with clients and she agreed.
I recieved the call from malissie 10/04/2025 and words were spoken. SHE IS now the salon manager and because I didn't have appt before 6 weeks it's my problem even tho she cancelled the one appt I did have, and with out informing me she did so. policy reads if i dont give 48 hrs notice i would have to pay. So nail flare owes me for cancelling with out notice.
More words... malissie said that she should not have let teraceita do my nails. malissie states I am the kind of person who would sue the nail tech and company for a nail infection.
Remind you I did have a professional remove my nails and nail flare did allow a full set because there was nothing wrong with my nail bed.
I was told by malissie that she was canceling all my pre booked appts with tericeta and not to come back the salon.
Few highlights
Im owed an appt fee because malissie cancelled my appt with out notice.
Malassie was not my normal tech. She saw me once.
Laura the owner saw me the day before the visit an approved me to be seen. Yes. I had a full set on but professionally removed and ready for new set with tercita.
Here is my take away.. they do a nice job, the facility is clean. Staff do talk about there clients in front of other clients.
Communication is terrible, no ftont desk and you never know who your talking with when you text.
Tech turn over is high with exception of Catherine,Rebecca Malissie...
Lastly, Malissie Never appoligized for her behavior. All she said was, "I'm sorry you feel that way." which is just dismissal of allowing her to be disruptive and rude to clients.
No one likes to be the talk of the water cooler but in this case I was because she just wanted to show power? control?
Malissie verbalizes that she is a godly woman because she stays married to her husband who had an affair on her. I am sorry this happened to you but that is a private matter don't share that with your clients may be a therapist is a good choice. Clients come to relax, get their nails done and not hear the drama. Godly women are rare and your most certainly not one, this can be evidence shown on camera in the nail flare salon. read more
