wish I could do 0 stars because of how horrible this place is. Tina the owner was absolutely horrible. she was so beyond nasty. the man doing my nails out on 6 coats of powder when after the 4th I asked him to not put another coat. Tina then hopped in and told me that I am over reacting and that he needs to put a lot of coats to smooth it out, and then told me to be patient. Tina sucks!!! highly unprofessional and rude. All my acrylic nails fell off after 2 days and I went back to have them redo the work I paid for and Tina gave me hell. She said she don't need customers like me because they work on commission and that I'm a psycho. Her own husband told her the nails were not put on correctly and were glued to my skin. Iris gave me one of the best pedicures I ever had. Unfortunately she doesn't work there anymore. The place always has problems with their credit card system. The owners response was customers should carry cash or go next door and buy something to get cash back. No, they need to have a credit card system that works. Not good business. read more

Didn't think I would ever have to write a review like this because we have been going to Nail Dami for quite some time. But I have to say that Tina the owner has become completely unhinged lately. I called today for an appointment for someone and asked for a particular person that always did her nails. Tina went on to say how unprofessional that is and insulting to them and literally hung the phone on me. Not to mention having this conversation in front of her customers. So this was my first time going here. I went in with an open mind reading other reviews that weren't so good. I'm a regular when it comes to getting my nails done so I thought trying something new would be good. A lot of my friends recommended this place for me. I have my homecoming dance next week and I wanted to match my nails to my dress. I went in with a sample picture of what I wanted. They said they didn't have the right star sparkles so the nail tech told me he could do something very similar to the design and I trusted him. This might've been one of the best sets of dip powder I've ever gotten. The environment wasn't exactly the cleanest or the most organized, but the people were very friendly and nice. One of the women were complimenting me a lot and it was very nice. The experience wasn't stressful and I enjoyed it quite a lot. read more

Because of a scheduling mix up we were unable to book the pleasant young lady my daughter used three times before at this place. The tech that did my daughter's nails was rude, condescending, loud and very inappropriate. She applied too many layers of dip powder which caused the color to darken way too much to our liking. I expressed to my daughter at the drying station that I did not like the color and that I will pay for this one and will schedule another appointment to change the color with her regular tech. She walked over to us and immediately got loud, said she thought my teen daughter was poor (quoted $50 for the dip color she wanted) and that we don't ever have to come back again. I will NEVER spend my money at an establishment that is highly unprofessional, rude, condescending and biased. Additionally she didn't cut my daughter's cuticles, barely shaped her nails nor did she lotion her hands. Bare minimum was not even done. Taking my business elsewhere!!! This business is horrible my girlfriend had to reschedule due to her disability and they hung up on us and refused to schedule her for an appointment. Those workers discriminate against people with disability's and are very rude. I give them no stars. read more

I was a frequent customer on nail d'ami and they are friendly and make you feel comfortable. The owners are fantastic at what they do. Yes, it's true, they do not take credit cards but they do take personal checks and cash. They are worth the little bit of trouble to go to the ATM. I no longer live in New Milford and am very sad to have to find a new nail salon. I've never broken a nail and always get complements on how nice my nails look. If you're in the area, please go and check them out. They do GREAT work! read more

I would like to say that I was so excited that I found a new salon. To my suprised it was terrible.when I got home and looked at my nails I was so disappointed my nails looked so umprofessional and the crazy thing was I would have paid again but they wouldn't even say there was anything wrong I couldn't believe they said it was fine polish on my skin,my nails not completely polished. Went this past weekend for a mani/pedi. The salon is clean and modern and pleasing to be in. The massage chairs the BEST I've ever experienced. But the pedicure AND manicure were both horrendous. Beyond BAD. I would NOT recommend. The pedicure was basically a polish change because the girl did not even attempt to remove any callouses! No pumice or anything similar and I have a lot of rough patches above toes, on heels, etc. She applied scrub and lotion lamely, she did not rub or scrub my feet. As for the manicure, I do not like polish on my nails so I asked for a shiny buff. She filed my nails and did a terrible job cutting my cuticles and then she took a sanding block and rubbed it all over the bed of my nails. She had me wash my hands and then asked me if I was sure I did not want a color and then told me I was done! I was like -- you just roughed the entire bed of my nails up with sandpaper and you are done? What happened to my buff? She looked at me shocked and bewildered. She said something in her native tongue to the other girls and went and got what must have been the ONLY buffer in the entire place...it was worn out, dirty and torn and could barely do the job. Then to top it all off, when I went to pay they did NOT take credit cards. NO sign, nothing. (in this day and age of Square, GoPayment and instant payment methods, I find this offensive and rude to customers). In my opinion Nail D'Ami looks nice but obviously does not have properly trained manicurists/pedicurists nor do they stock the salon with the adequate tools/supplies to perform the most basic services (they only have 1 old worn-out nail buffer?). Coupled that with the fact that they do not offer credit card payment. If you are looking for a place that cares about how its customers are treated, not just how good the place looks, do NOT go to Nail D'Ami in New Milford! read more
