Don't walk but run from this place. I knew I should have turned around and walked out of this place when I saw that they didn't have a single customer in there on a Saturday. They only had 3 other nail techs. Right when I walked in the door they tried to ask me if I wanted a pedicure as well. I looked at my watch because I didn't know if I had time for that. The other nail tech was talking about me and that this girl keeps looking at her watch she doesn't want it! In Vietnamese. That was extremely rude. The nail tech did not know how to shape my nails. I get my nails done regularly to know. She did not fill the acrylic close to my cuticle and I told her to correct it but she argued with me that polish will cover it which doesn't make any sense. She gave me an attitude when I made her fix it. She would give me dirty looks when I stared at my nails. Paid $65 for poor service. She and the other techs talk poorly of customers in Vietnamese because another set of customers walked in after me. She asked me what my ethnicity was and I told her Vietnamese, that was when she held her tongue. Traumatized from this place. Go somewhere else. Pictures: Extra thick uneven bumpy nails in the picture, color was not what I picked also... should have been almond shaped. They upcharge you a ton I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed because the nails were terrible to look at and I only paid $48 at another place in belmar to get it completely redone. read more

The actual salon is very clean and the technicians were friendly. I had the powder dip nails done, and I appreciated the large color selection. However at past salons my nails have stayed chip-free for close to three weeks with the dip nails. It's now day two and I have a huge chip in one of my nails. I wouldn't recommend getting the dip powder if you do go, as $40 (before tip!is a steep price for nail polish that chips after two days. Worst salon. Should've went to my regular. This place I went for my birthday with my mom and I got my acrylics from a wedding I was just in taken off and then a pedicure. The technician wanted me to soak my nails while doing my feet and he said "it saves time" not really looking for that in the first place... so my relaxing pedicure was not so relaxing trying to keep both hands in this tiny little bowl soaking them for over an hour while he did my feet. I had a cut on the back of my heel for two days I told him to be careful with and he REPEATEDLY kept digging his nails in and grabbing me to reposition my feet. I had to keep telling him it hurt and to not touch me there. He also kept going back and forth between taking my nails off and doing my pedicure which was annoying. Then when he clipped my acrylics he put the clippings IN THE WATER MY FEET WERE SOAKING IN! I looked at him mortified, he did not care about cleanliness and threw my nails into my bathsoak. He was just concerned about his time when there were a total of 3 customers in the salon. Not to mention he burned my nails with the grinder THREE times. I had to pull my hand away I was in a lot of pain and I had to go home and take ibuprofen for them. Him and his coworker kept trying to get me to get a manicure or gel when I need a break from acrylics and now that I'm going back to work, as a CNA, I cannot have them. I told them also three times and they kept trying to update me which was very rude and pushy. At this point I couldn't wait to leave, my nails were in pain and I did not have a good experience. I've been here twice now and had a great experience both times. My shellac has lasted way longer than they normally do on my nails. I am lucky if I get 2 weeks of wear because most products start peeling up after just a few days. This picture is my French manicure after 3 weeks!! They did a great job on my toes too and it lasted just as long. If they had gone all the way down to the cuticle with the polish I could easily go another week before I had those done. In beauty school we were shown horrific photos of nail infections and malpractice at nail salons and knowing what I know I appreciate greatly this nail salon and now I come every Sunday for a mani and pedi. They use new tools every single time and you take them home with you! And when I say new I mean fresh out the bag they open new sterilized tools and let you bring them home so you know they take it seriously! Very impressed with the cleanliness and I know OSHA would be too! As for the nails it's a bit pricey for just a mani and pedi but it's worth it knowing you won't get a nasty infection! I used to get acrylics all the time but now I just opt for shellac since they just get ruined while doing hair and they offer a great massage and paraffin wax! I also bought their scrub they use during pedicure and I love using it on my sore feet after a long day! Will continue to come here every Sunday! read more

I rarely make bad reviews here so someone would really have to have messed up for me to create one. Made a reservation here a week in advance. When we got here, there were several people just sitting around which I didn't know why--they sat me at the pedi chair and took my mom for a manicure. I sat there for 30 minutes with no one to do my nails and finally got up go tell them that if they didn't start my nails soon, they'd make me late for our dinner reservation. Finally they had a technician rush to finish with someone else to come get my nails. Not only was the pedicure quick and sloppy, she completely forgot to do the lotion and massage which let's face it is the best part of a pedicure! Not only that in an effort to save time on my manicure they came and removed my remaining shellac from my last manicure right there at the pedicure chair, getting nail shards all over my clothes. My manicure is decent looking but there are sharp ends she missed I will have to go home and file. Best part? Pretty sure she just made up a price when it was time to check out because she charged my mom and I the same even though I got a full set and she did not. I definitely would not be back here, Especially when there are so many other great nail salons in the area. read more

This nail salon is clean, the techs are responsive, the cash discount is appreciated, and the tools are one-use per customer. All good. The bad is that my tech was in such a rush when she did my shellac manicure (which only took about 20 minutes -- great if you're in a hurry, but the trade off is quality). She cut four of my cuticles to the point of bleeding. She put something on them to stop the bleeding, but they continued to bleed as I got my pedicure, and had to ask her to pause to put more of the stuff on my hands. I don't think this was necessarily indicative of the salon's work, but my experience with four bleeding cuticles (which continue to bother me a day later) was quite poor. read more

I've been to Nail City three times to get a rebase on my acrylic nails. All three times my nails were done to perfection! Nancy is so kind and very talented. It kills me not to go back but the salon is filthy. The tables for the nail techs don't appear to have been cleaned in months. The station is not sprayed and cleaned between clients. The bottles of clear coat look like they have been refilled many times and the tops are grossly filthy. The towel placed on the table was gross. The pedicure tools are used and dropped back into the technician case. When she started my pedicure she pulled on old used gloves on that had obviously been used on other clients. There is no hand sanitizer anywhere. The floor hasn't been swept let alone mopped. The wax pot only had one stick that was double dipped throughout the day. Scary. They have a high tech appointment system and are nice people but they appear to never clean. As much as I love Nancy's work I won't risk infections. read more

I've gone here twice now and I couldn't be more thrilled! The first time was a walk-in, the previous salon I went to before did a terrible job and my nails broke days after I had them done, but I was seated with Kathy right away who took her time in repairing the broken ones and rebasing the others. She did an excellent job! I just went back today to get them rebased again (which scheduling an appointment even a few days in advance really helps ensure you get seated right away) and Kathy really outdid herself! I showed her a picture of what I wanted done and she mimicked it even better than the picture showed! I am honestly so happy I have found this salon! I decided to give this place a try and I am glad I did! I found Nail City to be clean, professional and very friendly. I called for a same day pedicure appointment on a Friday afternoon. When I arrived, the place was busy, however, I was able to get in at my appointed time, (the place does not seem to overbook). My Nail Tech, Lee, was wonderful. She showed me a menu of options that meets any budget. The cost was comparable and even better than some other places; they even offer a cash discount for those that do not use their card, (and does not shame us who never have cash with them). I am writing this review 3 weeks after my initial services. First of all the shop is so clean. I have never been in a nail salon that was this clean. The files used were brand-new and only used on me, I even took them home with me. I had a pedicure that was so nice and relaxing and nicely done. My shellac manicure has lasted perfectly for the past 3 weeks!!!!!! (Besides out growth) since getting my nails done I have been in and out of pools and the ocean, worked and cleaned, everything you can possibly think of that would destroy a manicure and it is still flawless (again besides my nails growing). My friend and I were both impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. The staff was attentive but not pushy. Wow! I have been here twice now- today was my second experience and I am still just in shock! Wow! My first experience was several weeks ago to get a full set of acrylics. Called and made an appointment, the lady one the other end of my phone call was extremely friendly and welcoming. Then I arrived. Walked in, was greeted by half the staff, got sat down right away, had a ton of polish options, and the lady who did my nails got right to work. (Can't remember her name- although she was awesome! I had Kevin today and he was fantastic as well) About half way through my appointment the lady sitting next to me (who was getting a manicure) told the owner that her nails were sticky. The owner sat her back down and re-did all of her nails free of charge because she truly cares about each and every one of her customers. I know what you're thinking- she should do that, that's good customer service, bla bla (and I agree) ... But, THEN she surprised me again... She knew not one, not two, not three customers that walked in later by name... But I counted 6 women who she knew by name and engaged in conversation with. It was AMAZING! Not to mention today the same thing happened- a high school girl came in to get a rebate and the owner asked her about prom and talked to her about music- she truly cares about her customers. This is the BEST nail salon I have ever been to and I am nothing short of satisfied with the quality of the service and the excellent customer service! Thank you, nail city. I have been coming here for the past year and yesterday was my last time sadly. Got a simple gel manicure that sadly looks so messy I could have done a better job at home. I arrived about 1pm or so and only a few customers so was taken right away. She took forever to get the existing gel off and nicked me twice on two different nails with the cuticle trimmer. Does everybody bleed when they get a manicure? Nope! Ridiculous. On the polishing she had a horrible time not getting it all over my skin, had to clean it up and redo too many times to count. They look just awful! To top it off when I finally got home and showed my teenage daughter she let me know I had gel polish on my face above my eye. So the nail technician couldn't let me know? I've been going to Nancy since I was 3-4 years old with my mom. We have lived all through Colorado and have followed her everywhere we go. Just moved to the area and was terrified of having to find a new nail place closer to my house. I used to go to Venetian Nails in Highlands Ranch and although they weren't the best, I was used to them. Nail City blew them away. The gals really spent time on both my pedi and mani and did an EXCELLANT job. Everyone there makes an effort to get to know their clients and know everyone's names. Although they don't have 50 pedi tubs and 100 people working there (so you may have to wait a few minutes), its totally worth it. So glad I tried this place out! read more

Got a pedicure there are they made me air dry my toes...not even able to put them under the blue LED drying lights so needless to say, my toes were all ruined the next day because they didn't dry properly.
