BeYou Nail Bar has been my go-to nail salon for years, and experiences like today remind me exactly…read morewhy I keep coming back. They have consistently been reliable, professional, and incredibly thorough every single time I visit. For context, I don't get gel, acrylics, dip, or elaborate nail art. I simply get natural nail manicures and pedicures with clean cuticle work, short nails, and a semi-shiny buff. It sounds simple, but proper natural nail care takes skill and attention to detail, and BeYou consistently delivers. After a very disappointing manicure and pedicure at another salon left my nails over-trimmed, my cuticles improperly cared for, and even resulted in an injury to my toe, I came straight to BeYou. Their technician immediately recognized what had gone wrong and carefully explained why the manicure technique I had received was not appropriate. They did everything they could to correct the cuticle work, reshape my nails, and make me comfortable again. While they couldn't undo nails that had already been cut too short or heal an injured toe, they absolutely salvaged the experience. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Every visit is thorough, meticulous, and never feels rushed. The staff is always kind, welcoming, and genuinely invested in doing quality work rather than just getting you in and out the door. Pro tip: If you're planning to walk in, call ahead first. They're popular for a reason and can get busy, but every time I've called on my way over, they've either been able to fit me in or let me know the best time to come by shortly afterward so I haven't had to sit around waiting. I've always appreciated how accommodating and honest they are about availability. If you're someone who values healthy natural nail care, proper cuticle work, and technicians you can trust to be consistent every single visit, I can't recommend BeYou Nail Bar enough. They'll continue to be my first choice.

They couldn't care less about their customers. They rush you in and out as quickly as possible. It's very obvious that they talk about you to one another and snicker and laugh. Anytime I have gone in to get a gel manicure, they try to gaslight me into getting dip. Once you make myself clear after about 10 times you're getting gel, they toss you around to 1-5 different workers before someone finally agrees to do this "cheap" and "not worth their time" set. I've literally watched it happen before my eyes probably the last 5 times I've gone in. $20 for gel on top of their $25 manicure which they try almost every-time to not clean under your nails or trim your cuticles!!!! Same with the $45 pedicures!!! They try not cleaning underneath your toenails and rush through the shaping process completely unless you are thoroughly paying attention. It's so sneaky and disappointing that their recommended gratuity is at 22% or 25% when they shouldn't even get 20% for what they do. They completely take advantage of the customer and then gaslight you if you ask ANY questions. There are so many BETTER nail salons in Dallas, avoid it yall!!

Located inside a charming Uptown "house-turned-salon", Ulux brings a boutique vibe to your usual…read morenail day routine...which was a cozy feel that I instantly liked. I stopped in during the 4th of July holiday week with my three nieces (two little ones and my twenty-something shopping buddy, lol) and we had such a lovely time. Even though it was busy, they made sure we had a comfortable space. Kevin was super accommodating from the moment I booked. He helped coordinate everything so the group could stay together, and I appreciated the attention to detail (also shoutout to Mandy, Diane and V!...our techs for the day). My elder niece and I went with spa pedicures, and I also had dip removal and a nail shape-up on my natural nails. My pedicure was terrific--the leg massage almost put me to sleep in the chair--I was so relaxed and it was just what I needed. My niece also got a manicure and said her experience was good, not mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. The little ones got their nails polished and were happy as can be. The Ulux staff even let them hang out in a massage chair together like "big girls" while they waited for our services to wrap up--adorable. Ulux offers complimentary drinks too: wine, soda, and water. My elder niece and I sipped wine, the girls got a bag of chips from the staff, and it all made for a festive girls' day out. Also, I received a discount as a first time visitor, which was a nice touch. Kevin mentioned they also have a second location in Oak Lawn, which I plan to check out next time. Parking in this area can be a little difficult, so I chose to Uber--definitely a smart move on a busy holiday week. All in all, it was a relaxing and fun experience with friendly vibes, a great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back for more pampering soon. Happy Hands, Happy Feet!

When I advised him of how much the prices had raised he suggested I find a better salon. Price gauging in this economy is disappointing when it seems as though your loyal customers are the ones who literally pay that price. What a shame. But with dozens of shops in the area, let alone the metroplex, it won't be long before I find the best mani/pedi in town that is fair with their pricing, standards, and morals.
