I was in dire need of a pedi! A friend told me about The Nail Center in Germantown. She's been coming here for at least 2 years. So, I decided to try them out today! I really enjoyed the experience. Upon walking in, Di and her team greeted me and directed me to the pedi chair. I had the BEST deluxe pedi. She also did a basic manicure for me. The deluxe comes with hot stones, hot towel and paraffin wax. My tech was very gentle on my feet and because it's been a minute, my feet needed some attention! She did the best leg and foot massage. Not my normal nail salon. My husband is in the hospital around the corner. I needed a break so went over for mani/pedi. The lady seemed in a hurry, and Nicked my foot 3 Times! I was ready to cuss! When she got ready to sand I said don't touch the center of my feet. i about jumped out of chair. Then they just kinda left me down there with paraffin on my hands while they started on someone else. Well I don't have much to compare this to but let me say it was an awesome experience. Also one I plan to repeat once a month! Ladies, you guys know what's up... Now I get it! Nothing beats a good foot and hand massage and having decent looking nails at all times. The Nail Center in Germantown was just great! Started off by sitting in this huge awesome leather chair that massages you while you put your feet in a mini-jacuzzi. Then a very cute Asian lady sat down and pampered my feet... Truly amazing! Cut, massage, steam towels, more massage! All the while, getting massaged by this hi-tech chair. After this wonderful treatment, she talked me into a manicure.... Again much of the same only on the hands! Entire process about an hour... I had a blast in this place as I got to here all the gossip ( and jokingly join in), relax, and cut up with all the ladies in the place. I think they had fun joking around with me because I am a man. This is the happiest I've been with the length of my acrylic nails. I told them I wanted them as short as they could be, and I'm very satisfied with the length they were able to give me. Also, it may have been because I was only 1 of 2 customers in at the time, but the woman doing my nails took her time and did all the steps thoroughly - something I'm not used to in nail salons. With that being said, she was very rough with my nails/cuticles. She did not speak to me the entire time besides telling me to go wash my hands. Since I chose white polish, it usually takes 2-3 coats to make sure it is not showing streaks and such. She did 2 coats on mine but they would have looked better with one more. The inside of this nail salon was very nice and clean. They had 1 tv on, but it was turned down very low. Besides that, it was silent. I came in today (Black Friday) around 12:30 so I'm not surprised it wasn't super busy, but it almost made me feel uncomfortable with how quiet it was in there! We went this past Saturday and when I arrived I didn't feel like I wanted to stay but we did, there were 3 of us and they didn't have pedicure chairs beside each other so this man, presumably the owner said we could just wait if we didn't like it. We were fine with splitting up. My pedicure was just ok, hot rocks were just run and slapped down my legs nothing special. Once finished the man abruptly grabbed my things to move me without telling me where I was going and then my best friend asked him to clean some polish off her skin and to paint the very tip edge of her big toes and he yelled at her that he couldn't because she had her toe nails cut to short and that was her fault. . She said well hand me the polish and I'll do it myself and he finally attempted but she still was not happy and he rushed her over to where he had put me. Of course we were talking about what just happened and the man screamed at us that he could hear us talking about him and that he had done the best job he could. So I came across this place yesterday and I thought I would try it out. I walked in and was greeted by Lina. I asked for a mani/pedi and was quickly told to sit in the pedicure chair. I love that they had massage chairs. It was a relaxing experience. I decided to add the sugar scrub to the pedicure for an additional $5.00 and it felt amazing. I've done pedicures at other places and they never given me a foot massage with a hot stone. That was a nice addition. For the manicure, I decided to do gel shellac and my nails looks fantastic. All in all I was very happy with the customer service and services I paid for. I think this will be my new nail place!!! read more

I was given a gift certificate to for this business for my birthday. Located in the middle of a super awkward and tight shopping center in the heart of Germantown. I went around 5:30, about a hour and half before closing. It wasn't terribly busy. I informed the technician I was there with a certificate of $70 and asked for any manicure, pedicure, etc. I came on the next to last day before the certificate expired, she at first wanted to act like it was already expired so told her she had today's date incorrect. She recommended at shellac manicure and sugar scrub pedicure. Those together would be $70. She immediately started the pedicure. I had a pedicure 6 weeks before at another salon so for the most part the pedicure was minor maintenance. She rubbed a scrubbing lotion on my feet, then lotion and a 60 second foot rub, followed by paraffin wrap in a plastic bag. 25 minutes later (way too long) she removed the bags, made a half ass attempt to remove the paraffin. Applied a base coat, then 2 thin coats of nail polish. (Not top coat) ugh hate that! It had been a while since I had a manicure, didn't need a lot of work but wasn't really taken care of like I have in past manicures. Overall, I wasn't impressed and they are way overpriced. read more

I wanted to like this nail place....I really did. I'm new to the area and thought I'd try this salon. I've come a few times, and each time, I leave bleeding here or there. The nail tech is rough and always seems in a huge hurry to push people through. It's like going to the dentist....waiting for something to hurt. And that's not how it should be. My nails are always super thick and unnatural looking when I leave. When I ask for them to be thinner, she argues that it can't be thinner because I'm having them refilled. I've had acrylic nail for years and have never run into this problem. It's pretty bad when even other techs in the salon remark on how thick the nails are when this lady isn't there. Quick idea to stop in for Shellac change and they were welcoming and quick! In and out in a half hour because I was on a time crunch and Lina did an excellent job! Place is big and convenient.
