There is a check in counter and when you are called back there are two sides, one for pedicures mostly and the other for nails. I came in on a Sunday and it was fairly empty, about 4 other customers. I got a basic pedicure, but instructed the woman that I didn't want any attention on my legs due to the fact that I had medicated lotion on them. She cut them and filed them, but it wasn't til later that I noticed some were crooked and not smoothly cut. Mostly the paint job was awful. Most people hold your toe as they paint it. She just painted it without using her other hand, and that's when I knew it would suck. The polish and top coat were blotchy and I told her this after she insisted I go to sit under the drying area. And when I tried to explain it was blotchy and didn't look good, the other guy next to her suggested for her to do another coat and she proceeded to paint another swipe on half my big toe and slap another blotch of top coat on. Pardon me?! Finally another woman came and hastily removed all of the polish and redid it. She was neater at polishing but rushed through and didn't bother to wipe the skin that had residue from the previous polish job. On top of that, the pedicure consisted of almost nothing that it usually does. They didn't do a little foot massage, no lotion, no anything on my feet! I guess when I said "no legs" she took it to mean no nothing. Poor listening skills was a common issue here. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the manager came out and was very apologetic and friendly when I asked why there was no lotion or anything. The other two women had attitudes. (But why are you mad at me when it's you treating my feet like a kindergarten paint class?) It's also very clear to me that the people in this establishment don't speak or understand English well which is always frustration and overall barrier of entry for receiving good service. You better not go to this nail shop if you want quality service. This was a poor experience for me and really a waste of my money.

Unfortunately, my visit started off on the wrong foot and continued to decline throughout the service. My concerns were fairly simple: * There was no protective plastic liner in the pedicure tub. * The nail technician was engaged in a phone conversation during my service, with the phone resting against her shoulder and head. I politely asked if she could focus on the service or take the call later. * The technician was not very responsive, so I requested another nail technician. When I requested a different technician, the atmosphere immediately became tense. I later translated a recorded conversation and discovered employees were making negative comments about me because I asked for another technician. I also had some remaining gel polish on my toes from a previous pedicure. I had already removed much of it myself and trimmed my toenails before arriving. After the second technician took over, I was informed that the price would increase by $7. Another concern was that the business does not accept credit or debit cards, which was unexpected and inconvenient. During the pedicure, the technician attempted to apply nail polish without first applying a clear base coat. When I requested a clear coat, staff appeared frustrated. At that point, the interaction became increasingly uncomfortable. Emily, the manager, told me that I was creating too many problems and implied that my questions and requests were taking time away from other customers. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, I felt dismissed and unwelcome. After leaving, I checked Yelp and noticed the business currently has a low rating. Based on my experience, I would encourage customers to read reviews carefully before spending their money. I understand that every business can have an off day, but customers should be able to ask reasonable questions about cleanliness, service quality, and the procedures being performed without being made to feel like they are the problem.
