I'm so glad I found a nice nail salon so close to home. The staff are very warm and welcoming, with tranquil music playing in the background. I got the standard pedicure. I stood for a few minutes picking my color because there were so many to choose from but I wound up choosing pink. The woman did a great job on my not so perfect feet. I was particularly impressed that she didn't cut me while trimming my cuticles, I've had that happen more than once. The pedicure also included a massage and hot stones. Nice! The price was right and the service was great. They're also very clean about everything which is very important to me. I definitely plan on returning. I have been coming to the Nail Cafe for years, and have seen more owners but not as good as it is now. They have turned the old Nail Cafe into a place where you feel like you are going to a spa in New York City (without the city prices). The staff and owners are so friendly and accommodating to your every need. The place is immaculate, whether you are there for a pedicure or manicure, you feel so relaxed. A short massage after your service even tops it off. This spa is the best right now, and i'm so happy that the new owners have turned this little New Jersey spa into Heaven. Where you feel so relaxed, not a care in the world. A couple of times while getting my spa pedicure, i've fallen asleep in the chair because i've been so relaxed. Such poor reviews on here.. But I gave this nail salon a shot, and I'm glad I did! I recently moved to the area from NY and was looking for a basic, good 'ol mani pedi place. I've been here more than a handful of times, and have never been disappointed. All the girls are sweet and attentive. I even came here for my wedding day nails... And so did my now husband (shhh, it's a secret). I don't get anything complicated or have any specific regiments, so I can't comment on everything, but they give great manicures, pedicures, gel manicures. I have been coming here for about 5 years now. I first moved to the area 6 years ago, and although I loved where I used to go, the drive there every week or every other week became too much. My cousin brought me to this place and I fell in love. There is a new owner now, Joy, and she is so pleasant. She does her very best to make you comfortable. Stella and Melissa are the best, in my opinion. They clean your nails so well and if you're getting a pedicure, they really cut and clean all around. I've been to some places where they don't even dig in to get the gunk under your nails. There's usually a special during the week, I think Monday -Thursday where a mani and pedi is $25. Who can beat that right? They give great massages on your legs, with hot towels and hot stones after the pedicure cleaning. They're closed only on Sunday's, which is nice for the girls. They used to work every weekend with the previous owner. New decor is really pretty to look at and makes the place seem much bigger. I went here for the first time for a regular manicure and pedicure. The actually place is very clean and relaxing. The pedicure was amazing. You get your average pedicure but it includes hot stones and hot towels. The lady that did my pedicure took her time to really make sure that I was relaxed. Unfortunately, my manicure was very painful and rushed. The Korean lady that was doing my manicure was in a rush. She kept pulling my cuticles to the point where one of my finger was bleeding. After, she polished my nails and then rushed me into paying. After my nails were dried, the other Korean lady that runs the front asked me if it was my first time and gave me a coupon for my next visit. I believe the coupon can be used on the first visit. By the time I was home which takes me 5 minutes, three of my nails were chipped. read more

I have been coming to this salon since its grand opening years ago. LOVE this place! They are closed on Mondays, but Tuesday through Thursday they have a mani / pedi special, $25 for both! You can't beat it. ALL of the women speak English and are super friendly. Pedicure includes a hot stone massage and they give you a shoulder / neck massage while your nails are drying. I've been bringing by daughter here since she was little and she loves going too. They are very patient with her when she decides she wants a different color polish on each finger! I've tried this place twice. Once for their manicure and pedicure and the other time just for a pedicure. The quality of the work was not bad at all...nothing spectacular, but not terrible. The service, however, is my issue. The two times I went (different woman each time) they (alobg with the other women working there) were not super friendly (which isn't even a big deal to me) and (here is the big issue) talked almost nonstop about the various customers they were waiting on in very rude, nasty ways. I guess they feel talking in tbeir natuve tongue is going incognito but they are extremely obvious (body language, facial expressions, looking right at the person and smirking/laughing)...I would say it was in my head but both myself and my friend with me speak Spanish and understood exactly what was being said (probably didn't count on 2 Caucasian girls being bilingual perhaps). read more

It's so upsetting to see negative reviews on here about Nail Cafe. They give you so much more for your money than any other place around here. A regular pedicure includes hot stones! The staff is so friendly. If your looking for all the spoils of a spa or salon you're also going to pay $50+ for your pedicure. Here you get great service at an affordable price. read more

I went there yesterday for a pedicure. Since my nails had chipped the last time I went for a pedi, I asked for a Gel Pedicure. The cost JUMPED from $28 for a regular pedicure to $50 for a Gel Pedi. I was told it was a MORE THOROUGH experience. Ok. I obliged. The pedicure was actually shorter in length then the last time I was there, the massage was only 5 minutes, and it seemed that all I was paying for, was gel polish. Then today, I noticed that one of my toenails was matte. The girl had forgot to topcoat. When I called and said I wanted to come in for a fix, I was told no, and then she put on someone else who spoke English better. I told her I was coming into the salon in 20 minutes. They later fixed it, but hardly apologized. Will never return. If I am going to spend $50 on a pedicure experience, it better be a spa pedicure with 1/2 hour leg and foot massage. And they better remember to paint all my toenails. read more

The worse nail place in all NJ , and not because the workers is because the owner OMG she is the worse !!! She do the best greeting when you get there but as soon you are stuck there she star rushing the poor workers !!!! Happens every time!!! Today was my last day never come back again even if is free !!! After they finish my pedicure of course rushing the poor woman, she was about to star my manicure and the owner said oh you need to wait for the other worker to finishing then she she will do you manicure I said no thanks I don't want no manicure anymore every time that I come here is a issue with you I am paying for a service no for a favor ok , oh you don't have to paid if you no are happy I said ohhh yes I am paying I don't want nothing free from you , oh no please don't pay !! The nail salon I wanted to go to originally was too busy to take me so I figured to quickly come here. They took me right away on a Saturday. The place itself is nice and the workers are nice also but they really don't know how to polish, at least the lady I had didn't. She barely did anything to my cuticles and I had to tell her one nail is crooked. Since she didn't do much to my cuticles, when she painted it just didn't look good. She had to do 3 coats because she couldn't polish it straight. The pedicure wasn't bad. Honestly for $34 dollars I was expecting better. There are a lot of places that do mani & pedi for $24-25. Definitely not worth the money here, there are probably better nail salons out there. read more

I had such horrible service the two times I have been here that I am pissed I even returned!! The service is AWFUL! The owner and her side kick with the awful fake lashes have the nastiest customer service! After spending $52 on a pedicure and a mediocre gel manicure, they still could not give me what I wanted ( my girl was annoyed that I wanted my nails filed less round.. Seriously?) Then to be unprofessional and have a bikini wax consultation with a walk in customer about how hairy she was and how it would determine the price in front of all to hear?!! poor woman was embarrassed!! And THEN could not change my sister in laws toe nail polish when she decided she was not comfortable with the color for free or at at least half price of ($13) after she just spent money on both a mani pedi and shes a returning customer!! Are you kidding me?! Horrible, nasty and rude. Do not waste your time or your money! They DO NOT appreciate it!! ****Furthermore!! Two special needs client came in with their caretaker And miss hello kitty with the lashes was too cool for school and even asked if they would sit still?! There are new people here since the earlier terrible reviews. I've always gotten good manicures and pedicures here and the staff has always been friendly. Pedicures are terrific and include hot stones etc. Give them a try. read more
