Really great service, water is filled and check ins were regular during the dining experience. Service is relatively fast as well. The space is spacious, clean, and has plenty of parking. Super cute to be connected to the mochinut too! You can pick either ayce or order by the menu items. The sashimi pieces are nice thick slices, the order comes out in one plate for the table. For the $39.95 price, it feels worth it with that alone. They have a lot of different roll and maki options. The Mexican roll comes with tuna, jalepeno, mango, and avocado, it is a refreshing roll and I don't think it is too spicy.

We were craving sushi for a late dinner but also wanted to try a different AYCE place and ended up at Nagoya. We order some appetizers and sashimi which were pretty good in taste and quality. The rice was slightly mushy from our roll but the taste was fine. The service was quick and attentive which I appreciated as we were one of the last people to get seated and leave. The restaurant is very large and can accommodate for large parties. I liked the edm music they played in the background haha. Overall we enjoyed this place and would go again.

Nagoya roll, the spicy sauce has a great kick.

First time trying out Nagoya Sushi. I love sushi and always am looking for new sushi places to try. There was a lot of parking space available in this strip mall. I arrived at the restaurant at the dinner time opening. I was seated quickly and the staff was welcoming. The decor was pretty and very zen. The sushi cuts were thick and great. Someone places five you small cuts which requires you to order more. I also tried the Nagoya roll, it was very flavorful, I recommend trying that. The beef teriyaki was also really good, it was also much thicker and tasty than others I've tried. I would like to see the shrimp tempura more crispy and flaky. The charsu in the ramen tastes like char. I think it was cooked on an un cleaned grill. The noodles were good, the broth could have been a little more rich. The sake was reasonable price and went well with the food. The tuna jalapeno app was really good. The waiter helping me was friendly but I felt did not come frequently enough. I sat waiting a lot when I finished the food on my table and only got my next order in after waiting a bit. At the end I felt like I was forgotten and had to ask a different staff member for my check. Willing to come back for another try.

They have all you can eat (AYCE) sushi and a regular menu you can choose from. We opted for the AYCE sushi the few times we have been here. I think the menu is definitely bigger here with more non sushi items too than other AYCE sushi restaurants in the Twin Cities. I really like the salt and pepper shrimps- crispy, salty and a little sweet. The quality of the sushi is good- not the best I've had but also not the worst. The service here though wasn't the most friendly but maybe folks are overwhelmed. We found that for certain items, especially if you're in a big group (more than 4 people)- half of the order would come then we end up having to order it again for the 2nd half. For example, we would order 4 orders of salt and pepper shrimps but only 2 orders would come. This happened a few times. The service here though wasn't the most friendly but maybe folks are overwhelmed. 1-2 times out of the few times we have been, we felt like the server asked us pretty early if we wanted dessert making us feel like they wanted to rush us. Definitely would still come back because it's close to home and I love sushi but I hope service improves.

We finally tried the all you can eat lunch, and I am so glad we did! For only $20.95 per person you can order anything you want off the menu. They did mention that if you order way too much and don't finish most of the food, they can charge you for it, but if you are responsible with your ordering and pace yourself this is a great deal. We ordered onion soup and salad with ginger dressing, spicy tuna roll and a crunch roll, cream cheese wontons and edamame, chicken cutlet and the tapenyaka chicken fried rice. The crunch roll was great and I really like their cream cheese wontons because they have a sweet taste. We also really liked the chicken fried rice because it had a smoky grilled type of flavor. The onion soup was also very good. The chicken cutlet was crust but super bland, and the dressing on the ginger salad was too sweet. However, all in all, there are lots of great choices and I can't wait to come back!

Had a good experience at this restaurant. We had three different waiters come up within the first 10 minutes of sitting down while we were still trying to decide on food. I had a specialty roll and a California roll. Both were good, nothing too crazy. Would come again.

Good option for affordable lunch ayce sushi! The pricing for lunch is $20.95 per person, which is very reasonable. It has plenty of options but no sashimi, which is a dinner only item. It does include nigiri however. I thought everything tasted very good considering the price. The other items on the menu besides the sushi were also good, especially the seafood fried rice. The service was a little slow, but it was also a busy week day.

Our family of 4 went to Nagoya for the first time for lunch this past weekend. The restaurant is pretty spacious, the service was good, and the food was pretty good for $20.95 per person. The lunch menu has a nice variety of food, all four of us found several things that we each liked. Recommend checking out.

I've been to almost every AYCE sushi restaurant in the twin cities, and this by far is the most worth it for the price and quality. I went during lunch on a weekday and the price was only 20.95, cheaper than most places other than the OG Kyoto Sushi (barely). The space was clean with plenty of seating. My partner and I ordered multiple thing, most a hit but some misses: Chicken katsu: very thin and dry. Served with sweet chili sauce instead of tonkatsu sauce. Had trouble finishing this Chicken skewer: very thick and juicy, and well seasoned! this one was a surprise. It reminded me of the chicken skewers at chinese buffets but better. Shrimp tempura: shrimp was thick, and batter was crisp and not doughy underneath. Snow mountain roll: to be honest, I had expected something similar to the snow mountain roll at Kyoto. This one was just okay. Nothing impressive, would skip. Rainbow roll: this tasted clean and was packed with fish. I felt like I got a lot of value in this for a roll. Crazy tuna roll: this was a winner. 5/5. packed with spicy tuna, it had some acidity so I could eat a lot of it, and was very flavorful. Eel/salmon nigiri: solid. The rice had a good amount of sushi vinegar which was nice. would skip the tuna nigiri. Eel teriyaki: smoky, tasted like it came off the grill. Very tender. Beef teriyaki: tender and seasoned. comes with caramelized onions underneath, which go well with the beef Salmon teriyaki: moist, but a little lacking in teriyaki flavor. Tonkotsu ramen: this was very off tasting. It tasted like when someone puts a blowtorch too close to food and it gives it a gas-taste. I think it's from blowtorching the pork. The broth also had this off-taste. could not stomach it. Cream cheese wonton: classic buffet like cream cheese wonton. Skin was kinda too thick though. Ice cream: eh. Our server was very nice and the orders came out fast initially. Our 2nd and 3rd round of orders did take a bit of time to come out however. For the price and quality of the sushi here, I would most definitely come back here again.

Easy online ordering and quick takeout! Sushi rolls were delicious and generous! I particularly enjoyed the Nagoya roll. Restaurant looked pleasant and staff was friendly as I picked up my food. Will return! I hear the place is great for all-you-can-eat lunch!

Some friends suggested Nagoya for sushi before attending a social gathering! Plenty of parking in the strip mall lot! The interior was very clean, organized, and newer! I particularly loved the wall details! We didn't have a reservation and were able to get a table for 5 without a problem on a Friday night. Our server was pretty solid, although we didn't get something we ordered, but he did promptly remove it from the bill. We didn't opt for "all you can eat" because $40 was a bit steep and the rolls we normally like are only $6-7 each. If you're big into Special Rolls, the AYCE option makes sense! We had the seaweed salad, miso soup, and gyoza for appetizers, which were standard quality to similar establishments! Our Philly and Spicy Tuna rolls were plenty yummy, and a great value for the size and quantity! Don't forget the eel sauce for dipping ;) Overall, pretty standard Minnesota Sushi spot! I wouldn't make a special trip if you don't live close, but if you're in the area and want sushi, this is a great option!!

We love sushi, so it was exciting to hear that a sushi place was going to open right here in Golden Valley! Then I heard it was an all you can eat place and I thought well... we'll see. I saw the first couple positive reviews pop up here and thought we should give it a go. So the restaurant is in a strip center and it's actually really large. I also didn't realize it was connected to the new Mocinut donut place but apparently it's two businesses in one. The staff was very friendly and our server was pretty good. She went out of her way to make sure she got our order right with each round of food we ordered and kept our drinks filled. Items came out of the kitchen with minimal wait generally, and I do want to say that everything that was hot came out super hot -- like great food temperature. I was very pleased. Alright, so specifics. You can just order sushi off the regular sushi menu -- a la carte if you will. Or you can opt to do the all you can eat sushi option, which is $20.95 at lunch and $39.95 for dinner. Kids under 3 eat free, kids 4-8 are half price and apparently kids 9 and over count as adults. We don't love the all you can eat sushi places in town - we find them to have a limited selection and the sushi itself to be crammed full of rice so you fill up faster. I was pleasantly surprised that none of those things were issues here. The menu for the all you can eat is pretty varied. You can get maki, nigiri, hand rolls, a variety of hot and cold apps and dessert. The number of fish varieties is more limited than the regular menu, but that makes sense to me and they cover the basics fine. They also offer sashimi, and a pretty decent list of specialty rolls, which was really cool because most AYCE places don't include specialty rolls as an option. We sampled: -Miso soup - served piping hot, sweeter than most miso soups out there (which means more miso) and I also loved the seaweed in this version... it was better than the flat square pieces found in most miso soups. I wished there was more tofu. But it was so good I ordered a second bowl. -Seaweed salad: fine -Tempura zucchini - delicious, piping hot, four pieces in an order. So good we got a second one -Sashimi: we tried salmon, tuna and red snapper. All were acceptable. The salmon had a sligthly mushy texture. Not bad, I ate it all and ordered more. But it made me suspect that maybe the fish had been frozen. My husband was the one who tried the snapper and he said it was definitely frozen, like borderline still frozen when he ate it. Note, sashimi is one piece per order, so you literally tell your server we want 4 salmons and 4 whatever, etc. -Pepper tuna: Tasty, a little spicy, fine. Served in a dish that made me want to spill the copious amount of sauce everywhere. -Handrolls- salmon avocado and tuna avocado were both good, more avocado than I was expecting, a little bit too much rice, but overall pretty good. -Crunch roll: my personal favorite. Pretty tasty, great crunchy texture and the shrimp tempura in the middle was piping hot. -Nagoya roll - too spicy for me but my husband seemed to like it -Red bean ice cream - tasty and refreshing. You basically get like a kiddie size scoop but that's all I needed after all that sushi. -Small ding on the score because they serve Pepsi instead of Coke. Two AYCE dinners, two soft drinks and our bill was $94. We definitely felt we got our money's worth. Will definitely come back, I think lunch is the better deal. And they do online ordering so this is now a very valid option for picking up sushi to eat at home. Overall, pretty impressed. Definitely better than most AYCE sushi places we've tried.

This is a new HOT spot! Watch out Benihana & you don't walk out stinky. Very clean open & spacious. Tried vegetable gyoza aka (pot stickers), onion soup & hibachi steak with fried rice. I will give this place a 10 and they have mochi donuts.

We had a stroller with us, and instead of helping us find a comfortable spot, we were initially directed to a booth that clearly wouldn't work. When I asked about it, the waitress moved a couple of tables and pointed us to an end table with an uncomfortable chair. I politely asked to sit somewhere else, which felt awkward to even have to do. There were also a few moments that felt careless, like when she reached over my baby and stroller to grab a drink instead of going around. That's just not something you should risk. When I finished my salad, she told me to keep my fork rather than bringing a new one for sushi, which came off as odd. I also know how to use chopsticks so it seemed weird to assume that I didn't and would reuse my fork. The waitress didn't seem friendly or welcoming, and we didn't feel acknowledged at any point..even when we left, despite being the only customers there. It's a shame because the food, music, and overall vibe had potential, but the service really took away from the experience.
