    Best pour-over in town!
    Zoya F.

This is literally the best pour-over coffee I've had in years. There's not a lot of seating, and the place is open only Saturday mornings. Still, I would visit anytime to buy another pour-over coffee and sit and savor the flavors. I tried the Indonesian coffee (West Java-Cijapati) on my first visit. Great service, and the close seating allowed conversation with local visitors.

Top notch coffee shop only open on weekends. Fun coffee shop with a neighborhood vibe. They are coffee experts and make outstanding coffee. There is a very limited amount of food available though. They would greatly benefit by having croissants or a limited pastry selection. Also: no decaf.

I've been coming to Nagadi for the past 8 years. They have the best coffee in the area. I go there every week not just because the coffee is amazing, but because there's a sense of community. The staff are great and friendly, and the customers are nice. Also, they display/sell art by local artists, which makes them such great members of the community.

Come here for 4 things: the unique espresso, which changes weekly; the pour overs; the beans; and the people, both the staff and the customers. If you want to hide in your computer with a pumpkin spice at Starbucks or at the place that serves hot coffee quickly from a tap then this isn't the place for you. But, if you really love coffee and people of all sorts, then there is no better place to go. And even if you don't want to hang out, the beans alone are worth the trip.

Hidden awesome coffee place as you can easily miss the place. We arrived around 11am on Saturday, and the place was really busy and packed with regular patrons. We got a cappuccino and mocha and waited like 10 minutes as there was only one espresso machine. There were several tables and seats to enjoy drinks here. The coffee was well-balanced, nutty, and a bit sour. The mocha was lukewarm but not too sweet and flavorful. Friendly staff, affordable price, and ample parking in the lot. Only open on weekends. This place is perfect for coffee lovers!

This is truly a hidden gem. Nestled in a residential area outside of downtown silver spring, this place is really easy to miss but well worth seeking it out. It's clear when you walk in that these folks take coffee very seriously -- a craft. I felt a little overwhelmed as a first timer, but the cashier was patient and helped me figure out my order. All of the drip coffees are done pour over style, which is my favorite. The small yet well appointed shop was filled with regulars. My coffee came out a few minutes later and tasted delicious. Definitely worth checking out.

Nagadi Coffee Roastery is a small coffee roastery in Silver Spring, Maryland near the historic National Seminary Park and the National Museum of Health and Medicine. If it's your first time visiting, it can be a little tricky to find. It's one of the businesses in a large industrial building with plenty of parking out front. The sign is small so look for the red door instead. Pre-coronavirus, they allowed a few seats inside, but now they do window service. It's strictly just coffee from Ethiopia ("nagadi" means traveler in an ancient Ethiopian language). A latte is $4.15 and is truly just a latte. I asked for sugar and they said they don't have anything besides the coffee. The coffee shop is always open on Saturday mornings only.

Alex is fast, cheerfully scientific, and happy to explain any aspect of the coffee. The Kindeng Mill New Guinea beans Have a unique aroma and Make a brew with a very bright unique citrus flavor. The caffeine is next level, been going there for years.

One of the best pour over coffees I've ever had (and I go through phases of being quite the coffee snob).

The lattes here are sweeter than savory but delicious, topped with thick whipped cream... I think it is homemade whipped cream, but whatever they do, they definitely aced it very well. - Habibi latte: very scrumptious! It is a must-get, although it's a seasonal drink, so it may not always be available...alas! Pretty sweet and almost like eating some Dubai chocolate as you drink it... worth the adventure! - The Bear Necessities: I was very impressed with this latte. I had low expectations, as most cafes can't perfect the dark art of latte for every latte drink on the menu, especially the seasonal drinks... But girl, I was proven wrong and I enjoyed this drink so much! It came with thick whipped cream topped with one graham cracker bear and crumbled graham crackers... The flavors were cinnamon and honey and reminded me of cinnamon crunch cereal in some ways, but of course, it wasn't too sweet though! I was tempted to order another one... The sandwiches (1 roast beef and 1 grilled turkey) were just average if you ask me to compare these with other sandwich specialty shops... next time, I'd try something else! Overall, no complaints as I'm impressed with the coffee options, especially the seasonal drinks! Service was good and quick. The employee behind the counter was super friendly and very accommodating to ensure she got our orders right. Plenty of seating on a Saturday late morning which was surprising. Lots of seating at the outdoor patio as well! Very spacious.

5 stars for coffee, 4 stars for food. This cafe is conveniently located at the Bethesda metro…read morestation, on ground level right above the metro gates. Great for a post-(long) run meal before I hop on the metro back to DC! The lattes are on the sweet side but delicious, thick, creamy, and very innovative--worth it. The food? Not so much, but still decent. I tried the following: - Habibi latte (hot with oat milk) - delicious!! Definitely a must-get. It was quite sweet but really reminded me of Dubai chocolate. Really amazing how they nailed down the flavors. Perfect for chocolate lovers and very unique and innovative. Presentation was also excellent, with a generous amount of whipped cream. - The bear necessities - equally delicious latte and really cute presentation too, with a graham bear cracker on top! I'm not a big fan of cinnamon-flavored drinks, but this one was more subtle. It was so thick and richly flavored that the cinnamon wasn't overpowering for me. I was very impressed. - Roast beef sandwich - meh okay. It was supposed to come with ciabatta bread (which I think would've tasted way better), but apparently, there was none that day, so I got it with sourdough bread. - Turkey sandwich - I got it served hot with sourdough bread, and my partner and I enjoyed this one more than the roast beef sandwich. The roasted red peppers were a nice addition to the sandwich. The accompanying salad with the sandwiches was fine, nothing special. Service was good and quick. Plenty of seating on a Saturday late morning, and the outdoor patio was cute and spacious.
