This was hands down the best meal of my life.
When we first got to the restaurant it was a little confusing, as there is no outside signage. Turns out you have to ring a doorbell to be let in through the gate. When you enter, it's like you are transported to a magical world, an oasis. I got a vodka mule for my drink, which was spectacular, but also somehow the worst part of the meal. Me and my friend shared two of their pizzas, the fungi pizza and the gorgonzola, pear and tepache honey pizza. We ordered the pizza because we could see the pizza oven and it came recommended from our server. I think I have never made a better choice. The crust in both of the pizzas was the best I have ever had. It was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The fungi pizza was amazing, the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The gorgonzola, pear and tepache honey pizza was life changing. Halfway through the meal I had to sit for a minute and contemplate my life. I needed to reevaluate everything I have done and everything I will do with the context of this pizza. I will now be categorizing the times of my life into BP (before pizza) and AP (after pizza). This pizza simultaneously grounded me and sent me shooting into the stratosphere. I closed my eyes and felt like the rat from Ratatouille visualizing the meal. At one point there were tears in my eyes from how good it was. When I was eating the last slice I had to close my eyes and block out the world so that I could be alone with this pizza. I don't want to eat anything ever again because I know that nothing will measure up to this experience. read more
