Great view during sunset. Food and service are good. It's located on the top floor of a hotel. Worth giving it a go.

We really enjoyed La Traviata. Great food and staff. The views are fantastic and the atmosphere is amazing. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.

I'm not understanding these reviews. I came by on my last night in PV wanting some Italian food and to check out the awesome view. What I got was dissatisfaction and disappointment. The bread was cold and hard. The olive oil was not good at all...just cause it's free doesn't mean it should taste like nothing. The calamari...I have never seen such a pitiful calamari...it's almost as if they served me the crumbs. Even after informing the waiter about the condition he replied that perhaps they gave me a bigger serving because the pieces were small. The caprese salad was missing a vital ingredient...the basil. They literally made it a salad with greens and olives. The calzone was extra crispy but not in a good way. I've had better at sparro at the mall food court. Overall I'd recommend this for a glass of wine and the sunset...you're better off eating from one of the street vendors. The service was excellent but I would not come back.

This is a nice spot for dinner! Our Airbnb was up the hill from the location so all we had to do was walk down and around the corner to get there. Upon arrival, it was very lively with dim lighting. Looked like the perfect spot to have a date or a birthday party. We were seated promptly when we arrived. The service was good, no issues with us speaking English. I order te margarita Jamaica and it came in a huge goblet! The drink was very tasty and lasted me all dinner. It's on a roof top, so we got to watch the fire works from a distance! There was also live entertainment with a singer who played the guitar. It was great! Our food and drinks were delicious. I would totally come back when I'm in PV!

Beautiful place, gorgeous views, excellent service, good food. NOTE: Entering the restaurant "hotel" entrance, you take an elevator to top floor, then climb stairs one level to the rooftop restaurant. We came for dinner, about 40 minutes before sunset. We were treated to views of Puerto Vallarta, Banderas Bay, and the setting sun -- the combination making a spectacular scene. The service was excellent. I ordered a dirty martini, and got to taste a piña colada - which were both delicious and worthy of photos with the sunset. Our appetizer was the Capresse salad, excellent. Main dishes, I got the vegetarian lasagna, which was delicious. Also ordered was the penne pasta pesto with shrimp.... Mmmm, we didn't care for this dish. I love pesto, but this was overloaded and a bit dry for my tastes. That said, we had more than enough to share, so the penne pesto served more as a side dish as we shared the lasagna. As a whole, the meal was great. During dinner, the background music was replaced by live music of vocals, guitar and saxophone. I'm not sure if if that sped up the sunset or slowed it down, but I do know I didn't want to leave. Oh... Don't forget dessert -- we had the traditional Tiramisu. We ordered one tiramisu with two spoons.... Next time I'm getting two tiramisus with one spoon. We loved it here, and I think you will too. Until next time...

So I ordered from Uber eats. Delivery was perfect. For the price of 195 pesos the pizza is tiny & left a lot of room in the box. It has like 5 total prices of salami cut up & hardly any onion or jalapeño. The lasagne was tiny too came in a little aluminum tin with 2 tiny prices of bread & butter. Now with that being said it was all very good. The flavors were great for Italian in Mexico. I asked for crispy on the pizza. It wasn't. The bread had some herbs in it but come on. It was super small pieces of a baggette. The lasagne was great but needed sausage in my humble opinion & some béchamel. Overall happy but felt like tht cheated me. The lasagna has a little pieces of Bay leaves in it that I had to keep pulling out. That's my beef with Uber eats when you go to the restaurant you'll get much larger amounts I find and then when you order it to go they are tiny. Yes I would go to the restaurant next time for the view & to get the gnocchi which I know is best eaten fresh

This place a very nice spot for dinner - spectacular views! Most people here seemed to be celebrating a special occasion. We happened to pop in for dinner during our trip as we wanted something different. We started off with a bottle of Chardonnay and a bottle of Malbec, both were good but I favored the Malbec. For appetizers we ordered the calamari and charcuterie board. The calamari and the sauce it came with was really good! The charcuterie board was a little small but came with the sweetest (in a good way) strawberries. As for our meals we ordered pizza and pasta. Their pizza was better to me - it was a nice thin crust, we got the seafood pizza and salami with chili peppers. I would recommend either! As for their pasta, it was good, but nothing to rave about. I've had better, but I don't think it took away from the experience/ambience. If you're feeling like Italian food in PV then I'd stop by to curb the craving!

    La Rosa pasta. Seafood pasta.

Food was amazing. However, one of the waiters, he was an older man, was taking care of my family and this other family who happened to be white. My family is Hispanic but we're from the US. We could clearly tell that he preferred them over us, my dad asked for a beer and he just passed by and said ok and never brought it to us. After that he just kept ignoring us. Later, another waiter started helping us and he was incredibly nice. So that fixed our night and we left him a good tip. Again, the food was delicious and somewhat made it worth dealing with that shitty waiter lol.

    First visit. Food was delicious.

I have visited this place 3 times. The first time I visited was a complete 5 star .Prices were great and food quality was over the top. The second time I visited there was a price jump but the customer service remained awesome and so did the food quality still a 5 star . This last time I visited was April 1, 2023. The price has jumped noticeably but with the view and customer service you get here that's to be expected now and days. What really shocked us were the portions of the food. They are noticeably smaller. The food quality has also dropped since our first two visits. It could have just been the cook that we got that day but we were able to notice. Overall I still give this place a solid 4 stars. Drinks, customer service , the view , and the food are still better than other places we have tried. I will add more pictures of our recent platters once I get them downloaded.

A charming Italian restaurant overlooking Vallarta. Dimly lit with decorative brick walls, Spanish tile and live music. The complimentary bread with the garlic spread was delicious and pasta was surprisingly delicious. You never know what kind of quality food you're going to receive in Mexico and we were very happy with it. Can't wait to go back!

I had had enough Mexican food. I was looking for a place near my hotel. Being that I love pasta, I chose La Traviata based on good ratings and sunset views. The place is on the fifth floor and above a hotel. If you're mobility impaired, it will be challenging to get to the restaurant. The elevator only gets you to the fourth floor. For beverage, I ordered a basil limeade. It was refreshing. The bread served with garlic butter is delicious. For my entrée, I ordered a fettuccine pasta with marinara sauce. The pasta was al dente and the tomato sauce delicious. I arrived during sunset so the view is spectacular. And they do accept credit cards. It's easy to run out of pesos with the many cash only businesses. I highly recommend La Traviata.

First things first, the setting is straight out of a postcard. Picture this: you're perched high up, gazing out at this unbelievably beautiful, sparkling blue sea, with an old, quaint church adding character to the horizon. It's truly a dreamscape, especially as the sun begins its descent, painting the sky with the most incredible colors. Seriously, it's the kind of view that makes your jaw drop and your worries melt away. Pure, unadulterated magic! Our evening was made even more special by our fantastic waiter, Jarod. What a star! He was genuinely charming and incredibly attentive, always there right when we needed him without being intrusive. He kept everything running smoothly, offered great suggestions, and truly made us feel like royalty. His warmth and efficiency really elevated the whole vibe of the night. And then, the food... oh my goodness, the food! It was nothing short of culinary perfection. I couldn't resist ordering my beloved pork osso bucco again - it's become my absolute favorite there, and for good reason! It arrived unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth, and every bite was an explosion of rich, delectable flavors. Just as phenomenal as I remembered, if not better! Honestly, every single dish that graced our table was impeccably prepared and utterly delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you *must* put La Capella on your list. And here's my golden nugget of advice: make sure to grab an early reservation. Trust me, you absolutely do not want to miss that breathtaking sunset; it transforms an amazing dinner into an absolutely legendary one. Go on, treat yourself - you won't it.

I made reservations a few weeks in advance and we were able to sit on the terrace to enjoy the views. They had live violinists (three!!) that were playing, it was so romantic. I loved the violinists, they were all so nice and friendly. I got the guava martini which was good and I ordered the spageti bolognese, which was tender and flavorful. The dish was solid with a nice presentation. They also brought out complimentary olive bread with parmesan grated cheese which was really good. The food and drinks are pricey! For the 4 of us including drinks and dinner, it ended up being almost $70 per person. Service was just okay, our waiter was a little stern and we had to flag to get his attention a few times. I would definitely come here for a special occasion, for the beautiful view and ambience.
