Our whole family has been seeing Dr. Rezvani for more than ten years. He is gentle, informative, and a pleasure to see. All the office staff have always been kind to us. We appreciate the Saturday appointments and have no trouble rescheduling if needed. When my son was very young and needed a tooth pulled, Dr. Rezvani made it a breeze with initial numbing and then talking my son through closing his eyes for the novocaine shot. I think my son lost (4?) shark teeth that way with no problems. We laugh about it now, because that novocaine syringe is hefty, and he never knew until a teen. I'm a little sorry the VA office closed because DC parking is trickier; but I use a parking spot app, and it works out. Our insurance didn't provide great dental coverage, but Dr. Rezvani's office made it work. Highly recommend. read more

Went in for a cleaning once and will never return. I've had nearly perfectly straight teeth for my whole life, and dentists often comment on this. Not Dr. Rezvani's office. My hygienist spent my entire visit telling me that I needed Invisalign. I went back to a previous dentist and mentioned this and he laughed out loud at the idea. Felt like a major money grab. I also felt it was unfair to sow insecurity in my teeth when Invisalign is so clearly unnecessary. On top of this, my cleaning was short, rushed, and I actually had to brush when I got home because my teeth did not feel clean. I was not a fan of the experience overall. read more

I have been going to Dr. Rezvani's practice for over a decade for my regular biannual dental hygiene visit, which I never missed. The first and only one I missed was during the first months of covid. When I went to visit him 6 months later, he said I needed a root canal for a cavity that only required filling. I should not have trusted him and should have gone to get a second opinion before he messed up my teeth. I never had pain on that tooth until he started performing the steps of the root canal. He assured me that once the root canal is done, I won't feel anything. That was not the case and I kept feeling pain and could no longer chew on that side. When I went by for subsequent visits I kept telling him that I had pain. He said that the bite may be too high and he just filed the crown. The pain lingered and when I finally went to another dentist, I was told that the root canal was badly done, the tooth was infected, and I had to redo another root canal. read more

My friend recommended me to Dr Nader Rezvani for some dentistry work. The first time I visited his Arlington office, his staff was awesome they were very helpful especially with the paperwork. Great team of staff! Dr. Nader was very careful not to hurt me with the needles which I hated, it was painless throughout with the anesthetic drugs applied to my gum. Dr Nader was such a friendly and attentive dentist, I was very happy with the outcome and I went back to him to redo my filling as well. Funny guy too! Hands down the best dentist I've ever gone to...and that's the honest truth. Dr. Rezvani is very professional and easy to talk to. He explains everything in detail and it's obvious that he genuinely cares about his patients. I've had a cleaning, two fillings and I currently have a temporary cap/crown that he installed while I wait for the permanent one to come in. Every single procedure that he performed was painless...which means a lot in dentistry! He actually called me "himself" to check up on me the day following my procedures. I've never had a dentist do that! The front desk staff and his assistant are all very nice and professional. I've never had an issue with making an appointment and no payment issues. I would give Dr. Rezvani (and his staff) 10 stars if I could. I have had some horrible experiences with dentists in the past and I have always hated the dentist. Prior to finding Dr. Rezvani, my experiences ran the gamut...painful, people being rude on the phone or in person, being overcharged, leaving the dentist crying in pain (once I had a tooth removed and was upset on my way out and the receptionist said "why are you crying? it's not like you lost an arm!") Dr. Rezvani and his team are the antithesis of "bad experience". First off, the front desk staff is outstanding. Cynthia (and everyone working the desk) go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. It is a breath of fresh air in a time when customer service often gets pushed to the wayside. Not only is Dr. Rezvani friendly, funny and easy to get a hold of (in medical time), but he is also extremely competent. He and his team really do their best (and always succeed in my opinion) in offering the best quality care possible. The pain level is always minimal (even with root canals? what!!?!?!?), and I probably appreciate that most of all. He is so unprofessional, I had an Appointment that was scheduled and APPROVED, for him to only tell me that I was at the wrong location they don't practice in Arlington on Wednesday's. I asked why anyone didn't tell me or fix the appointment he said "do what you want we are not there" and hangs up. I had a really unpleasant experience at Dr. Rezvani's office just now and felt compelled to write this review. First of all, let me say that Dr. Rezvani himself seems to be a pretty good dentist. And his practice is open on Saturdays, which is always a plus. Here is where the experience becomes not so good. The office itself, while located in DC, is an area which lacks parking. The interior is okay, but thats not that important because thats not why you come here. The reason why I am writing this review is because of the staff. On my first visit to the office, the front desk staff- which has been different every time that I have been there- was very pleasant. I was there for a cleaning and maintance and at some point during the process asked for a toothbrush to get any particles from the cleaning remaining on my teeth out and I am not sure if it was the dental assistant or someone else - but the reply was "there is a 7 Eleven down on the corner, you can go get one." True story. I was pretty surprised. I know that this isn't a pedicatric dental practice - but the response was almost rude, but I decided to disregard. The second time I came back, I came in for a filing and somehow ended up getting not the original filling that needed be fixed repaired but another part of my mouth that the Rezvani identified as a problem area fixed or filled first. So the original problem didn't get addressed. I was a little confused about why things were done in this order, but couldn't say anything since drilling had begun... The third time, I went back to get the original problem area or filling fixed and things went fine. When I was leaving to pay the bill, I mentioned that had left my HSA card at home (the one that I have paid every other bill for them with) and the office manager suggested to the front desk lady that I pay via a personal credit card and then get wait to get reimbursed by my insurance company instead of themselves waiting until the next day for me to call in my HSA card number into the dental office. So let me get this straight, the office would rather inconvenience me and ask me to wait days or weeks to get repaid by my insurance company or spend time on the phone with them than to wait 24 hours to get paid when I have paid every other bill in a timely fashion... way to get repeat business!!! She very rudely said she would make an "EXCEPTION" for me this time ... even though when the office sends bills for $100's that I wasn't expecting to be paid by that same card they have no trouble waiting and are happy to collect ! WOW! The office manager was a snitty little you know what - who seemed to have a response for everything and who wanted to be argumentantive. There are tons of good dentists out there, and while Dr. Rezvani is just fine - his staff needs to rememer that retaining clients has a lot to do with customer service and take that smug disciplinarian customer service approach out of their repertoire. They're not doing anyone any favors by having a client and the practice itself isn't exceptional anyway. Heads up, this review probably isn't being helped by the fact that somehow in the process of numbing my mouth - the entire left side of my face, including the area around my eyeball is numb and twitchy too... read more

Dr. Rezvani is a perfectly good dentist -- nothing fancy like a dental spa, no puppy therapy or iPods to play with while you're getting a cleaning. But a solid dentist nevertheless. His office is well-located near the Foggy Bottom Metro. The staff are nice and friendly, and waits are very short. They once let me cancel with no penalty about 20 minutes before the appointment when I had a last-minute meeting at work, which I appreciated. And he does the cleaning himself - He has an assistant that does xrays and gets you settled, but doesn't seem to have a dental hygienist. I've had a few cavities filled quite painlessly, and he referred me to a great oral surgeon when I needed my wisdom teeth out. read more

I really, really love Dr. Rezvani. First of all, he does Saturdays; he should get a five star rating on that alone. I go to the Arlington office (neither is...particularly close to me as I live further south but eh that's the price you pay for convenience and I usually crash in DC the night before). He's always so friendly, and so funny and his staff is really nice. Once I had to cancel b/c I got stuck in really bad traffic despite leaving early (again, thank you slightly more southern location). They let me cancel, no penalty. I was their most loyal customer since then. I think he accepts most insurances (I have Humana which leaves my choices limited). Awesome all around read more

My husband and I have both been going to Dr. Rezvani for about 2.5 years, and he is absolutely great - nice, friendly, attentive, quick, professional, thorough. 1. Office experience - I've never had an extended wait time in his DC office - in fact, I think I've never had to wait more than a few minutes - and his staff is really professional and helpful as well. He has Saturday hours, and is in the DC office three times a week! 2. As a care provider & trusting your doctor - In a lot of ways, a dentist is like a mechanic. You don't have the expertise to know if what they're telling you about your teeth, gums, and x-rays is true... but Dr. Rezvani has earned my trust, and I take his recommendations seriously. When my husband had fairly severe jaw pain for an extended amount of time a few month ago, Dr. R took x-rays, and then said not to worry about it because it was the result of stress and it would go away. (It did). He offered to cast a bite guard, but didn't push the pricey product. Unlike other dentists I've been to in DC, he doesn't tell me I have multiple "cavities" that MUST to be filled immediately at the risk of progressing to root canals. He doesn't bill my health insurance with exuberance, and then stick me with a huge bill that health insurance wouldn't cover - a huge bill when I've only sought basic services. I haven't had to have any serious dental work since going to him, but I would trust him to do it if I needed some in the future. read more

Dentists have always been hit-or-miss for me, but Dr. Rezvani was great. The front desk staff were friendly, timely, and helpful. I don't have insurance but they took my discount card, which was great, and the rates were reasonable. I got there 1/2 hour early as a new patient, but Dr. Rezvani saw me on time. First of all, Dr. Rezvani does the check-up himself with an assistant. He was very personable and communicative, and as someone who gets very anxious at the dentist, this was helpful. The cleaning was quick but still felt thorough. I have a bonding that will eventually need to be replaced with veneers and while other dentists have pressured me to get them done (because it's good money for them), Dr. Rezvani assured me that it's not medically necessary for at least another 5 years. All in all a great experience, by far the easiest dental appoint ever. read more

I generally don't like going to the dentist but Dr. Rezvani is pleasant and the best dentist I've had. He has a light hand and a nice demeanor. Always making fun of something while working on my teeth... I personally like the DC office better. The VA office is always crowded on weekends (never been there on a weekday). If you are driving and live in VA, the VA office might be better because it has a big parking garage next to it. It's kind of hard to find parking around the DC office but very convenient if you take the metro since it's only one block away from the Foggy Bottom metro station. I am not sure why some people are unhappy with the staff. I have been going to Dr. Rezvani regularly for the past 3 years and never have had any issues with the staff. WORST DENTIST EVER! I've had two really crappy dentists in the past but he was the worst. And it was SO bad that I am actually writing a review so to save another patient the pain and suffering. So I went in for a cleaning and he failed at that. I think he was hoping since I was a new patient that he could be a prick dentist and give me a list of dental issues that he was able to fix. Well I already had a examination with xrays two weeks ago but they were not able to fit me in for the cleaning. So I figured I could go to someone else which I was able to. Anyways so when I broke the news to him that I was not coming back he felt the need to be a prick and treat my mouth like a damn scratch paper. Lets just say after I left I felt like I could have felt the same type of cleanliness from my electric toothbrush. It hurt like hell when he was cleaning my teeth prob bc he didnt give crap of his work, was taking time to talk to his assistant when he was using that sharp metal tool to scrape me teeth. I just ate a sandwich and it hurt to eat. Never have a had this much pain after a cleaning. Normally I go to my moms dentist who does an excellent job of being careful and not throwing the sucking tool around. It hit my teeth two times. It sucks right now since I got my cleaning earlier. I figured it wouldn't be that bad bc it was just a cleaning! It's simple and easy. Thank GOD I did not need any work done since he throws his tools around in your mouth and has no control of his damn hands to take it easy. He also did a crappy job of the buffing part. I don't even think he did all the teeth and I still feel like he could have done a better job. My other dentist had me leaving super fresh which I love but I like I said I couldve done the same work with my electric toothbrush. I felt like he thought because I was not going to be a regular patient that he could be a complete failure at his job. There are better dentists in the area. Trust me do not go to his office. Also his staff had the wrong number for me on file but fortunately I called early to confirm the place. Oh yeah his breath stinks and hes overweight which I can't stand in a dentist. If you cant care for yourself then how can you care for your patients?? I mean his breath was bad and it went away after he put his mask on. He is just greedy for money bc I had an exam two weeks ago and they said my teeth were fine and just needed to be preventive in some areas. He then tells me that I have to get some teeth worked after he scrapped the hell out of the fillings that were there which really hurt now esp where the gums are. Really BAD dentist. Take your business elsewhere. Better dentists out there. OH YEAH very unclean!!! When I went to spit the crap out of my mouth there was still blood in their sink. Makes me question whether they even keep their tools clean esp since I felt super sick after the cleaning. Prob bc I am a vegan but my God I felt really sick to my stomach. I went to Dr. Rezvani for over four years. He's amazing. The whole office is kind, attentive, and treats you like a queen. Makes going to the dentist that much less painful. Dr. Rezvani himself is excellent. You can sit back and rest assured that he is taking really good care of your teeth. He gives honest feedback about procedures and will tell you if you can get away with not doing them. In any case, I've had all kind of awful procedures done with him (as one does at the dentist), and he's taken me through all of them swiftly and graciously. He's also hilarious, so you'll be trying not to laugh in your chair. Unfortunately, I had to change insurance providers and can no longer go there. I'm heartbroken but will hopefully find another dentist to fill the hole in my (heart) teeth. read more

I recommended this Denist to my cousin. She had the absolute worst experienced. Their office was so disorganized and mixed her up with a different person. Not to mention the nice receptionist yelled at her over the phone because he wanted her moms address even though her mom didn't make the appointment and is not paying for it, yelled at her after she asked why did he need it. She got procedure done and the dentist did not explain the procedure nor let her choose the type of crown she wanted. My cousin is new to getting her teeth done and I felt he took complete advantage and over charged her. Not to mention he maxed out her insurance charging her over $2,000 for one route canal. Not only that she had a balance of almost $600 to pay in cash.. this place is a scam save your money. Not to mention the receptionist told me my dental insurance covers a teeth cleaning. Finished the teeth cleaning and no bill.. couple weeks later a bill shows up. I will say they are nice and welcoming but that's how they get you. read more

I've been a patient of his for more than a decade, and anytime someone tells me they need a dentist, I recommend him without hesitation. In addition to being technically skilled and having a great bedside manner, he really genuinely cares about his patients. He will personally call after a procedure to make sure you're doing alright, and he always asks after my family and friends (who are also his patients.) Very disappointed with the dentist. Very friendly atmosphere, which almost lulls you into getting unnecessary stuff done in less than perfect atmosphere. Rushed into doing a crown, which subsequently was reported to be "cracked". Ended up needing a root canal at another facility, where a large amount of infection was found below the crown. read more

I found my experiences with Dr. Nader to be very disappointing. Staff did not know how to use scheduling system and was rude, insisting that I had wrong appointment times... for all three of my appointments. I felt like Dr. Nader rushed through exams and treatments and paid little attention to my concerns. During one of my appointments, I waited 30 minutes in the chair while he was on the phone trying to resolve issue with his cell phone company. During my last visit, he nicked the wrong tooth with his drill. Will not go back. read more

Dr. Rezvani was a lifesaver when I took my 15 year old son to him in an emergency situtation. The support staff is very friendly and did their best to accommodate all our needs. We too had bad experiences with dentist so we were pleasantly suprised at how Dr. Rezvani is very attentive and professional. The location is ideal if you take the metro. On street parking is available but takes longer to find. Dr. Rezvani also has a great sense of humor which takes away the discomfort of going to a dentist. I was recommended Dr. Rezvani by a friend. Generally it's not really possible for patients to judge the technical competence of dentists--for instance I can't read x-rays and disagree with a dentist's judgement. So as patients we can assess bedside manner or how a dentist treats us, how s/he listens, and the quality of the patient education/counselling (ex. explaining options, procedures etc). In all these areas, I would give him 5 stars. I definitely feel that he cares and goes the extra mile to take care of his patients. He has a very friendly personality and at least in my case either remembers me or does a good job reviewing my case before he sees me. In at least one or two occasions he has been flexible in accommodating me into his schedule when what felt like an emergency dental situation arose. I also heard him asking his staff to provide a discount to a patient that did not have insurance (this is of course at his discretion and I don't know how often he might do this). He also has a periodontist in his team, which means that if there are issues that might need referral, the same office can take care of them. read more
