Dr. Lee proved me wrong and the only dentist that I can truly trust. He's thorough, witty, and quick! You'll be in and out in 20 minutes. I've been here 5 times - never had any dental work done. I had a great experience at this dentist's office. It was easy to schedule an appointment over the phone (they were able to see me within that same week) and took my insurance. Everyone I interacted with, from scheduling to my actual visit, were friendly and professional. And, even though I showed up a bit early for my appointment, I only had to wait a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Lee is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and performed my cleaning himself (which is a first for me - usually it's a hygienist doing the work with only a quick breeze-through from the dentist). Dr. Lee is my favorite dentist I've ever had. I hadn't been to the dentist for awhile and wasn't too excited about going, so I called and made an appointment with (who I thought was) Dr. D, based on recommendations from my friend. I first went to Dr. Lee after another dentist in DC tried to scam me (literally would not even tell me if I had any cavities until I bought an electric toothbrush from him and scheduled some special, expensive deep cleaning). The best dentist I have ever been to. Seriously. I'm that impressed. I had some tooth pain so they scheduled me in early: x-rays were connected to a laptop, meaning they developed instantly! He immediately saw my problem and scheduled me for some work. I showed up later and he removed two old fillings and put in two new ones. The Novocain injection was barely painful, and his work was precise and quick. One of the biggest chunks of time was spend finessing the filling: me biting down on some color paper so that he could see if it was too tall or whatever. He would then take off thin layer by layer until it lay perfect. Dr. Lee's bedside manner is excellent. He's very friendly and explains each step of the procedure as he goes along. The office is clean, comfortable, and the receptionist is nice and outgoing. Beyond that, the office is actually located in a house on Connecticut Ave, so it lacks that cold, sterile feeling that most dental offices have. There's a television in the actual room so you can watch that while he works, and the equipment is obviously new and very modern. I can't recommend Dr. Lee enough. NOTE: He's still new at this location so the outside of the office only has the names of the other dentists, Davoudian and Hack. I don't know when they'll change that, but don't be fooled if you don't see his name outside. read more

Dr. Lee is great! I, like many people, am not a big fan of the dentist. The first time I went to visit him, it had been a few years since I had last been to the dentist, and I was very nervous. My wife and I found him on Yelp a few years ago and are very happy with his services. Super nice, and definitely does not do any treatments unless absolutely necessary. We are sad to be leaving this area soon because we had a dentist we could trust to do the right thing, which unfortunately in this day and age, is a rare thing to see. We've seen him mainly for the usual cleanings, occasional fillings, and even a much needed crown for dental implants and have been really happy with all of his work. Dr. Lee will change the way you think about dentists. He is calm, comforting, and open to talking you through the procedures. He and I were trading jokes about flossing within the first 5 minutes. My appointment was in the middle of my work day and Dr. Lee had my x-rays, evaluation, and cleaning finished in 30 minutes (if that). You even get a fun gift bag with floss, mouth wash, and a tooth brush at the end. I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually looking forward to my next check up in 6 months. I have never used so many exclamation points to describe a dentist but Dr. Lee deserves all of them!!!! He's friendly and funny, he works gently, and he tends to narrate what he's doing which is very comforting to always know what's going on. I was so tempted to leave one star just so that he wouldn't become overly popular and overly busy. But the truth is, he is one of the best in his field. I hate, hate the dentist and forced myself to go cause I'd still like to hang onto a few of these teeth and not be looking at my teeth in a jar lol!! I swear to God I'm not being paid money to write this review, but hands down, Dr. Lee is the best dentist I've ever been to. He's really nice, professional, listens to my concerns, is super gentle during the cleanings (yes, he does his own cleanings), and injects Novocaine like nobody's business. On my last check-up, he noticed that a filling he had done previously was degrading, so he told me to come back and he'd re-do the whole thing for free. And the weekend I had all my wisdom teeth removed (Labor Day weekend, no less), he texted me to see how I was doing. Seriously. read more

Dr. Lee is an awesome dentist & he truly does have an excellent bedside manner. He is very gentle with his work and is generally just a pleasant person to be around. The other staff members are very courteous and friendly as well. I've had some dental problems in the past, so I used to be extremely anxious about going to the dentist. But after a few visits with Dr. Lee, I gained a new confidence about my dental health and taking care of my teeth. I ALMOST looked forward to my regular visits. Dr. Lee taught me that it's pretty simple to keep your mouth healthy & that going to the dentist doesn't have to be a traumatic experience. When I found out I was moving away about a year ago, Dr. Lee was honestly one of the first things I thought about. How will ever find another dentist like this?!? Well, so far, I haven't. Dr. Lee is absolutely great! He is efficient, personable, and honest. He replaced an old filling for me and told me I didn't need a crown but that another filling would do. I was so grateful because he could have easily just put in a crown! Excellent dental care, Dr Lee is the dentist to go to. Friendly office. Have had extensive dental work the past 5 years, reasonable fees as I do not have dental insurance. All the reviews are true, Dr. Lee is amazing! Hands down the best dentist I've had in DC. I am a very nervous dental patient and Dr. Lee was gentle, understanding, funny, and quick.
