If you are an adventurer, skip straight to the Big Zip Intimidator! We visited in March and did the Moonshine Canopy Tour ($49) and added on the Big Zip Intimidator ($20 as an add-on). The tour and zip line were great, but if I had it to do over, I would have just gone straight to the real thrill ride - the Intimidator. It is nearly 1/2 mile long and you can ride side by side or race a friend to the bottom. They say it gets up to 55 MPH, and it sure felt that way! I've done a good many zip lines over the years, and that last stretch was definitely the best and fasted I've ever done. (It is $30 as a stand alone ride, but worth it for sure!) Other plus - the weight requirement is only 40 pounds, which is much lower than other places I have been. If you have light-weight kids who want to give zip lining a try, this would be a great place to go. Tip - At the Helen George welcome center, you can pick up a coupon for $5 off each person.
What a fun adventure we had here!! The tour guides were fun and very professional - and guided our small group of 4 through the 4 zip lines that are the moonshine tour. We also added the big zip line back, and had a blast there too! The drive up the hill on the back of the truck was another part of the adventure: just hold on peeps- they did a great job navigating that gruesome road! So now: get your ropes together and jump off that tree to zip away!
Staff was great. Half mile big zip was awesome Don't sleep on the swing. Nice add on at the end!

Answered all our questions and helped these two seniors from Texas feel comfortable enough to even try the free fall...backward! These guys are the best. Back in a simpler time (February) I took my five year old daughter here to do some zip lining. I told her we'd do the course, which has some high zip lines that don't go too fast between tree platforms. She doesn't know what fear is, so she was excited enough for me to OFFER to do their Intimidator (3/4 mile zip line down the mountain). Since we stayed in their tree houses for the night -- I don't even want to tell you how awesome that experience is and how flexible they were with my kid's first camping trip -- Josh offered up a discount for the course. Something around $80 each for the full 2 hours, essentially throwing in her portion of the big zip line for free if she even attempts it. She loved it. She loved the bumpy road up in the back of a pickup as it bottomed out in washed out roads. She loved the gear that weighed as much as her 5 year old frame. She loved getting high fives from the big guys who were on our tour. She loved hanging upside down while zipping across. The only thing she didn't love was being too short to get hooked up without a boost. She did the Intimidator. She set the 2020 record at the time for shortest distance as her small frame didn't give her the momentum to get to the end. But they have a system for grabbing the stragglers and hauling them the rest of the way to the platform. And I enjoyed being able to ride down the Intimidator with her since they have parallel zip lines. She has talked about it to this day, 9 months later when we went again! BONUS: They referred us to the Village Tavern & Pizzeria where I straight up fell in love with the Grandpa Frank Italian sub. If you order more than a half, you must be suicidal.
This was our first ever zip line for the whole group of 6 adults and 1 kiddo. To say it was amazing it's nothing to say! It's super amazing! I can't compare with any other zip lines but the guys at the office were super nice, friendly and helpful. 5 starts to their great customer service! We had an awesome experience there even my kid who is 6 years old was a little scary but at the end his said it was amazing! I only wish they would have more zip lines but besides that we had fun! My words can't explain the experience we had. The longest zip line is about 1 minute long but it's worth every single seconds on it! Thank you guys for the very best experience we had!
I visited sautée nacoochee over the weekend as a nice getaway trip , I definitely recommend adding this place to your plans ! For starters all employees are super nice and very funny my guide that day was Lucas and Evan, both very kind and funny guys really made me feel safe and kept me smiling and laughing the entire time. First time zip lining and it won't be my last! Such a blast and great views all around !!!
5 stars experiencing going zip lining with Nacoochee Adventures. Our tour guides Jesse and Daniel (I may have gotten that wrong) were awesome and super funny. They made the tour that much better. The moon canopy tour is highly recommended and that's four lines. I HIGHLY suggest paying the extra $20 per person to do the big line at the end it is super long and has the BEST views of the Georgia mountains! This was so worth it. By itself it's usually $30 but you get $10 off when you add it to your trip. Jesse was cool and took us on the line to drop a cornhole bag since he had time and it was an awesome touch. TIP YOUR TOUR GUIDES. They work for tips and if you had as great a time as we did, you will not need to be convinced to do so. They have wine slushees here and they are STRONG. They are only $5 and filled to the brim in a red solo cup -- don't hesitate to share this. Or do, it'll hit you fast!
Nolan and jacob were awesome at their job of being our tour guide. They were very interactive with us and instructed me and my gf on the entire tour without any problems. They showed us a great time! This being my first time ziplining i was very nervous and a little scared but they made me feel comfortable with all the crazy things they were doing lol def recommend this to anybody who has never tried it !!! The 1/2 mile zipline view was beautiful
I took a young friend and her daughter there, I'm too and and frail to do the zip line type stuff, thought it did look like fun from her pictures. You pay afterwards in case you want to do an add on adventure, which they did. They do give a Military Discount. They have a big house as their base. It's set up nicely for people who are waiting for their reservation or not participating. I chose to go drive around the area instead. They have 600 acres and have other types of businesses on other parts of the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My friends said their two Guides were very funny and so we're a couple of teenaged boys in their group of maybe 10.
We had the best time with this company and their guides!! I suggest doing the big bear zip line experience. You hit all the lines. Xavier and Justice kept us safe, they were very professional, and kept us smiling and laughing through the whole experience. This place is awesome for big adventurers. I came here with my family for the swing and the giant dual zip line. After making our way up the mountain, my brother and I got to race on the zip line. The ride itself was about 2 minutes long and very exhilarating. The swing was an awesome surprise, as I did not have high expectations. The price is fairly reasonable for the experience and nice staff. Overall this place is very cool for visitors and locals, I live in the area and will probably come again.

We were staying in Georgia for a few days for a wedding. Our girls asked us to take them zip lining. We went on Yelp and saw that this place had excellent reviews. We called and we were able to book a reservation on the phone for later that day. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. Gavin was a great guide and can strike up a conversation with anyone and put you at ease. Our family loved the half mile dual zip line. They took their time to explain safety, gear, and how to get across for the lighter little ones. This place exceeded our expectations. Definitely check it out if you are looking for a fun adventure for your family. read more

This place is clean, convenient, and has a "make you feel at home" type of atmosphere. This was the first time for our children to zip line and they made the experience great for them both. Jacob was great and didn't rush but was extremely chill and calming. We will be back! read more

Nolan and jacob were awesome at their job of being our tour guide. They were very interactive with us and instructed me and my gf on the entire tour without any problems. They showed us a great time! This place was lovely and the staff is top notch. Took boys (aged 7 and 9). My normally adventurous 7 year started the most inconveniently timed, and highly subjective, risk assessment shortly before his turn and he completely lost it the second his legs left the platform - tears, lots of tears and the loudest sobbing (read screaming). I was certain our next step would involve a rescue off the first platform and immediate treatment for tinnitus. Jacob and Nolan were extremely patient and with their encouragement, a few punny jokes, and lots of cheers from the other guests he found some courage and made it through. In the end it turns out he had fun (on the car ride home he was making plans to bring a friend back to try it with him - wait, what?!). Cheers to the crew for their grace under the loudest pressure! My daughter and I went zip lining here and we had the best guys guiding us through. She was scared at first but after the first zip, she was totally in her element! The dad jokes really helped as well. We decided to go for the big zip after all the normal zips and it was well worth it!! We had so much fun and I definitely recommend this place!! read more

We had a fantastic time with these guys! We took the moonshine tour, and it was so much fun. The guides are so great to keep you safe and keep you laughing at the same time. My nine-year-old loved it so much, we took the double course at the end. I highly recommend this place. read more

The drive in the bus up to the actual zip line might of been more fun than its suppose to be. The bus we were in that took us up the side of the hill was so sketchy and the steep hills were covered in mud... I wasn't sure if we were going to make it up. It honestly was hilarious and actual fun. The zip line was fun, just pretty short. I leaped off the deck and went upside down all the way ! Family friendly and a good idea to do if in this area read more

We had a great time! We went on our family vacation and this will probably be the highlight of our trip. We are still talking about how much fun we had. Our tour guides made it such an enjoyable experience for our first time and the jokes are a 10/10. We would LOVE to go again! read more

We loved them! Jesse (The Beard) and Dylan (The Youngin) we're the best zip guides! We had such a blast! It was really easy to purchase and they have a military discount. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I always felt like our safety was top priority. They worked together and even had other guides show up to help out. We could tell they enjoy what they do and had us laughing the whole time! I was very impressed by the way they handled my 5yo. He is normally very afraid of things like this, but he had so much fun that he even wanted to get on the Big Zip line. By the way for a nominal fee you can do this line and it is well worth it. Excellent idea for a birthday! read more

A few my friends & I purchased a Groupon deal to try this place out. We are always looking for something fun and exciting to get into, and this was it! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the manger. He was so cheery, and funny. He made the entire experience very enjoyable. Our guides were also hilarious they kept our entire group laughing. I think that's great to do...it killed some of the fear many of us may have had about zip lining. I definitely will be returning again because I thoroughly enjoyed myself, plus I want to try out the super long zip line (it didn't come with our groupon purchase). This was definitely a great way to spice up the weekend. read more

Fabulous zip line adventure!! As a lover of zip line tours it was one of my favorites and well worth the money! I also took my seven year old on the it for the first time and the guides made all the difference. Dustin and his teammate created a safe environment that kids (and adults) can enjoy! This ... was ... awesome :-) I was staying at the Unicoi State Park Lodge, and could've reserved their zip line, but I heard that the Nacoochee Adventure was better bang for the buck because of the 1/2 mile zip line at the end. I brought my 10 year old son, who had never been to a zip line before, and he had a blast. I've never seen this kid so excited and so talkative with complete strangers. He would've done it again if I could've afforded to reserve another tour that afternoon. Our guides were great. Very educational, humorous, and experienced. The bus ride to the top of the mountain was quite an adventure as well. I've never seen a short bus go off-roading before, but apparently it's a thing. Helmets required. I saw people in our group of all experience levels try something new, and everyone had a great time. While waiting for my wife to pick us up, my son and I entertained each other at base camp with corn hole, shuffleboard, fooseball, and other various games offered to pass the time. I definitely recommend it, just watch out for the endless supply of dad-jokes being passed along by our guides. read more
