Stopped here on recommendation from someone else that the food is "great." I have to disagree. My tamales were so very spicy hot that I could not eat them at all. They even smelled hot from a foot away. They did bring me a couple of chicken tacos, but the chicken was too dry. Hubby's shredded beef in his burrito was also too dry. The iced tea tasted somewhat sour as well. Hubby had a bad reaction to the salsa--the chips are good. The place is very small and there were only two servers. The restroom is hardly big enough to turn around in, and it is unisex, which means that every male person that goes in leaves the seat up!! We won't be back, and the cooks there need to take some lessons on burritos and chicken fillings from Twisters. read more

We love the Hatch green chilis that New Mexico restaurants serve. Passing thru, we decided to eat here. The chips and salsa was very good, the salsa was green as we had hoped. Service was ok, but our enchiladas were some of the best we had ever had. The green sauce on our enchiladas was very good, I would buy a jar to go if they sold it. I received a recommendation for Nacho's Mexican Restaurant from a local as "the place" for Mexican food in Moriarity. Sorry to say, I was disappointed. Wanting a light lunch, I ordered iced tea & a quesedilla. The quesedilla cheese tasted *moldy* and the tortilla was tough. The iced tea was ordinary Lipton's instant from what I could taste. The one thing I can give them credit for is that the quesedilla & tea servings were sufficiently large to make a decent size meal. They did not scrimp on quantity, with the exception of the puny bowl of tasty salsa that barely sufficed for the basket of rather thick heavy tortilla chips. I did not try getting more salsa, even though I liked it, because I noted extra salsa is charged for according to the menu. A different dish may have garnered better results, but I don't intend to eat here again to find out. There is another Mexican eatery right across the street & several others in the Moriarity and Edgewood area, so I will place them ahead of Nacho's as my eatery of choice when I am next in this area. The decor in Nacho's is merely okay & service was minimally attentive. Waitress was not notably friendly or professional. She looked bored, tired, or both. The men's restroom was terrible. Urine on the toilet lid (yeah, I know that is some customer's doing, but staff is responsible for condition of the premises) and the fixture itself was old, worn, had broken fittings, and was in need of repair or replacement. Here in Moriarty new Mexico is a restaurant called nachos they have amazing food here it's very cozy and the people who work here are very nice and respectful. I never had a bad meal here. I like Nachos; it's one of my favorite 5 New Mexican restaurants. My go-to is beef enchiladas. Add sour cream and a fried egg if you're feeling indulgent. Their green chile is not as thick as gravy and it soaks into the corn tortillas. Normally the green chile sauce is medium-hot, but probably you'll like chile on the side if you're not used to chile. This is a small town restaurant. Be prepared for a server who works hard but might take a few minutes longer to serve you. Again, this is a small town restaurant - they'll occasionally be out of things. Roll with it. Try something new. Trust me that it'll be good. read more

On a road trip to the mid-west, our motel manager recommended Nacho's to us for dinner. The place is small and family owned. It is across from the main highway. My husband loved the stuffed Sopapilla's with green chili sauce. I thought the food was average. The waitress was friendly but needed to learn what kind of food they serve. I asked for some extra hot salsa or sauce. She acted like she did not know what I meant, so I asked for 2 grilled Jalapenos. We did not get the Jalapenos with our to go order. read more

We read excellent reviews of this restaurant on Yelp but had trouble finding it because the address and phone number were wrong. In updating this it seems to have lost all of the other reviews. It's a great place , the food was wonderful. I had the blue corn chicken enchiladas and my husband had the tamales. They don't have a bar, unfortunately. So this place easily could have had 4 stars, but their customer service is horrible at night. Havent eaten there during the day. There food is great their red sauce is deep and rich in flavor. There salsa had okay flavor more on the mild side. There portions are on the heavy side so more bang for the buck. Better than fast food any day of the week by far. Customer service sucked. They dropped off some of the food and left a 9 year old boy waiting for an additional 15 minutes before he git a simple bean and cheese burrito. He wanted the Nachos there but since they closed the fryer down no such luck but to leave him with no food while everyone got food was seriously bad service. They had no change and spent more time trying to get a tip from a customer checking out by going to vehicles and everything else that they didnt refill any drinks made a 9 year old wait for his food. Never came back to check on the food they served. Was rude and a bit bitter about everything when asked about it. So food great but do take out especially at night! CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE! I come from this as a restaurant worker and would never eat their at night but would go back for the food so kudos to the chef and line cooks!!!! Seriously, will go back and try during the day but will never return at night. You can tell no manager on duty and waitresses had bad manners and should have been more on top of their game. A little place off of RT 66 in Moriarty called Nachos. Never been here, glad that I stopped in. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the beef chimichanga plate with chips & salsa and iced tea. I will deffently be returning in the future. If anyone is coming through Moriarty on a trip and is hungry, get off the interstate and take the main drag, it's on the south side across from the Wells Fargo bank. Stop in and get some delicious Mexican food, you won't be disappointed, I wasn't anyways. Only complaint I had was the iced tea, it was more ice then tea. If you like Christmas Enchiladas this is a great place to go. The rice and beans were excellent and the heat was there without it being overwhelming. The Wait staff was very friendly and the seats were really cool. I'd never seen that before. My only critique comes from personal taste alone- which was the salsa. Not my favorite. Staff was friendly and attentive. Space and restrooms were clean. Prices were average. Nachos is okay. They were kind enough to make a take out order ten minutes before they closed. The food is edible but not delicious. The enchiladas are pictured as rolled but they were stacked. The beef tacos look and taste like they are cafeteria meat in a store bought taco shell. The rice was crumbly and broke apart with hardly any flavor. The beans were a salty purée. The salsa was very hot but had great flavor. I would not eat here again. The food is only 1 star but their kindness knocks it up to 2 stars. Not worth the trip or money. read more

I'm visiting family here and my cousin wanted to go to this restaurant. Being Mexican, I was naturally excited to get Mexican food. My first impression was that it took a while for anyone to come and bring us menus, not a problem I thought, maybe they're just busy somewhere else even though it wasn't crowded. Then when they did show up what looked exactly like store bought tortilla chips were placed in front of us with salsa that I can only describe as nowhere near the best I've ever had. Then when they did take our orders, and I got my food my carne asada burrito was just a burrito filled with ground beef and nothing else. The rice and beans had a burned flavor, but a plus, the green sauce they put on top was actually pretty good. My cousin seemed to like it, but he's a 15 year old boy that would eat literally anything. Then we had to wait about 10 minutes after we were done to even see anybody, and that was just because she was cleaning a table nearby and I had to flag her down. TLDR: Take your money elsewhere, the service and food is terrible. I'm sure there are plenty of other places in town that would gladly give you better service and food. read more

It took a while to get waited on. I ordered a diet Pepsi and when I got it it was a room temperature can with a glass of ice. When I poured it over the ice it immediately melted and watered down the drink. and it was $1.60 for a warm can of soda! In this day and time there is no excuse for a restaurant not to have a fountain. We ordered a chicken sopaipilla with a side of diced tomatoes to go on top. I also got a side of beans with cheese, chips and another sopaipilla. When we finally got our food the tomatoes, chips and extra sopaipilla were missing. While we waited for these items our other food got cold. We had to ask 3 different times for these items before they brought them. There was no attempt to even apologize for the bad service. The beans had no flavor and the beef in my taco was tasteless. Go somewhere else. read more

Wife and I live in Albuquerque and decided to drive to Moriority. While we were there we stopped and ate lunch at Nachos. We had the best Mexican food in a very long time. We eat Mexican very often in town at some very good places but this little family owned place beats them all hands,priced right,good service and friendly staff. Will go out there more often! read more
