Tandoori chicken, butter chicken , goat curry, aloo gobi, chickpeas and chai tea
Venus K.

Finally got to try this location since they relocated from Ripon. Food was just as delicious as I remembered it to be. They had a good variety of options on the lunch buffet, the aloo gobi, butter chicken, tandoori chicken , goat curry , fish pakora, and more. The flavors were rich and tasty and complemented each other. Rice and garlic naan were also provided. Of course can't forget to mention the delicious chai tea that is included. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful. Look forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes off the menu.

Chicken Tikka Masala, Kheer (rice pudding) and garlic naan all very good.

Fantastic food ordered carry out but the restaurant looked very clean and was not busy so plenty of seating on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered chicken tikka Marsala and the garlic naan with Kheer ( rice pudding) for desert. Went medium spice was perfect and the naan was very good. Great flavor and one order more than enough for two. Will definitely be back.

Chicken curry and Bullet Naan.

Another hidden gem when you are on the road between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Ordered the Bullet Naan and Chicken Curry. The Bullet Naan was very spicy as the menu correctly warns! Loved every bit of it! The chicken curry was authentic and full of flavor. Unlike many Indian restaurants, the chicken curry was not creamy and that made all the difference. Topped off the lunch with Masala Chai and it just hit the spot. These dishes were ordered from the Menu. There was a buffet available also. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely, highly recommend this place!

So this place is new in Salida, moved from Ripon. It doesn't have any Indian reviewer, so I definitely need to write one! Overall a very nice Indian place with good food with few exceptions. I don't want to write a very long review but here is my take. The samosas are OK, the filling has cabbage which I felt is a bit odd, also the very inside layer of the wrapper is a bit doughy and undercooked. But on the positive side, it is not a frozen refried samosa. Definitely made from scratch, a little less temperature oil and a little bit more frying time would have been perfect! The chutneys (both tamarind and cilantro ones) are very good. The Mano lassi is OK, a bit watery and they put more sugar than they should. The chicken biriyani we asked for mild. The biriyani comes with basmati rice, chicken pieces. Surprisingly they put cilantro and sliced bell peppers there which is odd as biriyani doesn't come with peppers. The biriyani doesn't taste like something they made in layers (like a traditional biriyani). It's more Americanized!! So biriyani is also OK for my taste! The lamb curry was AMAZING! Hands down, one of the best lamb curries I have ever reviewed. Very well tender lamb and the gravy tastes very well balanced. The garlic naan was AMAZING! I have nothing else to say, it's exactly as someone can hope a garlic naan should be. The butter chicken is AVERAGE! I normally have low expectation for this dish as this is an Americanized dish (you won't find butter chicken in India). The gravy is creamy and well flavored but I found a chicken piece, and I can smell chicken. When comes to Indian cooking, one reason I prefer them is that everything is cooked in the gravy, so the juices for soaked in the meat. The smell of chicken should be nonexistent. Maybe it's over critical for some people, but I don't expect an Indian dish has any raw smell of meat. It's well cooked but just doesn't mixed well together. Paneer bhurji is GOOD! It's a dish with Indian cottage cheese, green peas mixed with various spices. This dish is good as authentic as it can be. I can try this dish again. Chicken korma is GOOD! The gravy is very thick and really good. The gravy is very creamy and very delicious and chicken is very tendered and well cooked. Overall a definitely good Indian place.

This was our first time there. We ordered the Fish Pakura, mixed grill tandoori, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Everything was amazing not one complaint. Our server was very helpful with our questions and was very friendly. The inside isn't fancy but who cares when the food is what your there for. We will definitely be back.

Ok so, first off, this was my first time at this restaurant. I usually to go Mother India restaurant. But this restaurant was recommended by my friend. So glad i went! It's a clean, open floor restaurant, great service! Friendly staff as well! The food was so delicious, great flavor and freshness as well! I did take my order togo and even the 15 min drive the food was in great condition when i got home! The fish was flavorful and so fresh! The naan was fluffy and fresh as well! Definitely a 10 for me so far! Definitely going back

We love Naan N Oven. Original owners from Happy India in Ripon. Food is always fresh and restaurant is always clean. Favorite items on the menu are the chicken curry and tikka masala. Love that they moved right off the freeway in Salida. Staff are always friendly.

Order for to go for work and we loved it. I'm from the Bay and love the Indian food in the bay. Tried a few places here to be disappointed. This is a new spot and close to my work so why not. We got the Lemonade, samosas, chicken tika masala, garlic and butter naan and chicken biryani's.. we really enjoyed it. They have a buffet for lunch. Prices were great! Will be back for sure. My daughter is half Indian so I'm sure she'll love it here too.

Chicken tikka masala, extra spicy. I ate almost all of it

The owners are the same as Happy's in Ripon. Their food is always consistent. One of the better indian food spots in the area.

The service was amazing from start to finish. We ordered samosas, aloo tikki, garlic cheese stuffed naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chole (the chickpea dish), along with rice. Everything was packed with flavor. The samosas were incredible, the aloo tikki was one of my favorites, and that garlic cheese stuffed naan was absolutely amazing. One thing I really appreciated was that the entrees came out in their own individual serving dishes. Everything looked great and tasted even better. We ended up with a ton of food, plenty of leftovers, and for three people the total was under $100, which was honestly impressive considering how much we ordered. As we were leaving, the gentleman who greeted us when we arrived checked on us and seemed concerned that we were taking food to go. I just wanted to make sure he and the restaurant know that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. My family just isn't the type to sit in restaurants for long once we're full. We eat, enjoy our meal, and take the leftovers home. The food was beyond exceptional, the service was wonderful, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a great experience!

Usually we take it home but we sat out front and got wonderful family style service from the cook/staff. They even brought us out some Gulab Jamun for dessert. However, what sounded great on paper didn't quite translate in reality. We placed an order over the phone and saw that the truck was listed as being in Manteca, about a 25-minute drive from us. But when we arrived at the given address, the truck was nowhere to be found. A quick call revealed that they had actually moved to Modesto nearly three months ago--something that was not updated on Yelp. So, after an unexpected road trip across the Central Valley, we finally got our takeout. We ordered chole bhature and aloo tikki chaat. While the chole bhature had good flavor, the aloo tikki chaat was a huge letdown--it tasted like it was made with packaged hash browns rather than fresh aloo tikkis. On the bright side, the staff was kind, and the person at the counter generously offered a free mango lassi, which was much appreciated. I really wanted to love this place--the idea of Punjabi street food is exciting--but after this experience, I'm not sure if I'd make the trip again.

I was pleasantly surprised to see one at the mall. We gave this place a shot and my partner and I were amazed by the samosas with chaat. They were so delicious and full of flavor.
