He walked me around the store showing me different tiles and explaining why one cost more/less than the other. He showed me the style of the floor I wanted (pinwheel) and calculated how much tile I'd need in each size to complete it. He also recommended I use a marble saddle instead of the bullnose I had requested and explained why that made sense (and was cost effective). Then, as promised, he called me Monday morning right after he opened to confirm that his warehouse had the tile in stock. The delivery fee is extremely reasonable, the selection is OUTSTANDING, the store is clean and bright, and the people working there (in addition to Joe) were also very courteous. I have to purchase backsplash for my kitchen as well as slate for my entryway, and tile (floor and wall) for 3 bathrooms. I will definitely be going back to Standard Tile in Jersey City for every one of those projects. UPDATE: I went back for more tile in March. We had our entire bathroom redone. Joe not only remembered me, but helped me pick the bath/wall tile to match the floor tile we were using (left over from my kitchen). We're redoing the master bathroom next year, and this is the store I'll shop at.

Danny is honest, professional, fair, and genuinely a good person. He and his team finished the wall in no time and it looked amazing. For the past 7 years, if I need something done.. I call Danny. He has completed drywall, refinished my wood floors, repaired my ceiling, fixed sinks, doors, installed a fence, and just completed my back patio. What I appreciate about Danny and his team is the fact he takes the time to talk things out, brainstorm, and find the most reasonably priced route. And EVERYTHING that man and his team has completed for me in 7 years is still standing. I have not had one issue with the jobs he has completed. Honestly, he has fixed jobs that I had done when I first moved into my house. I am kicking myself that I did not call him first! If Danny says he will start on Saturday, he will start on Saturday. He communicates with me during the entire project. OH! AND HE CLEANS UP AFTERWARD!!! UNHEARD OF! So if you want a job completed where you do not have to go back to get it fixed again - and you want punctual, professional, courteous, respectful, transparent, fairly priced, QUALITY work done? First impressions are lasting ones, and Joe of Marino tile left us with an amazing experience from…read morethe minute we walked into his store. When my wife Gia and I walked into the Marino shop, we were at a loss for the type of countertops we wanted. Our home kitchen space is small and difficult to work with due to its age... lots of uneven plaster walls and brick. Gia had always wanted a single source, counter to ceiling style backsplash. Not only would it be a focal point of the space, but it would help in making it look larger overall. After looking through Marino's wide selection of products, Gia and I never once felt pressured or rushed. In fact, the owner Joe took his time with us and answered all of our questions regarding durability, installation process, availability timeline, product warranty... pretty much the pros and cons of all the products he sells and installs there. After a few trips to his showroom, and his professional opinion, Gia and I chose Cambria Delamere Quartz. Joe spent a few hours in our home to measure out each section precisely, so when it came to installation time, he'd be prepared. And prepared was EXACTLY how he returned. Joe and Manny, painstakingly went over every corner, angle, and mitered edge, to make our Delamere quartz look as if it was cut out of a single piece!! And in a home built in 1899, that's no easy feat. He even helped properly measure, center, and bore out the anchors we needed for our new range hood! And he did it all with a smile on his face :) Joe is friendly, knowledgeable, and provides very fair pricing, especially considering that he's a true craftsman. In a world where everything is becoming more and more impersonal and prefabricated, this family owned and operated business was hands down, THE BEST decision we made for our 2nd floor renovation. Don't even take our word for it... just visit Marino tile and see for yourself.

I have been going to Tile Wholesalers of Newark for all of my tile needs and have sent friends and…read morefamily there for years.  This business is family run and the people that work there are always amazing.  Stacy, part of the family that runs the store, is always helpful, patient, and very attentive.  No matter how busy the store might be, she always takes as much time as is needed to find the right tiles for whatever your application is.  As a matter of fact, when I was there last weekend to find a unique design for a very small bathroom, which involved finding and matching 4 different types of tile and the associated grout, and ensuring it all matches. Stacy stayed with me for at least an hour, picking up different tiles and working on different combinations based on my feedback.  I kept on pleading with her to go and attend to others while I worked the different combinations together, but she refused to leave until I felt confident that the choices were matching and I would be happy.  She also constantly kept me aware of price and showed my close options that would save me money in my project.  For instance, I chose a very expensive Italian ceramic tile which I loved, and she brought over something very similar, that I liked the same, and told me I would save hundreds on this version, which I choose.  Also, while writing this I decided to look up the tiles I bought in the store and I realized that all of the prices were either the same or cheaper than anything I found online, for all 4 tile sets I choose. From the standpoint of service, anytime in the past that I have had a question or issue, a quick call to the store usually solved the problem.  The whole reason that I wrote this was because when I was driving there, I needed to look up the address.  This brought me to yelp, where I was surprised to find the single star review.  When I read the ridiculous review, which has nothing to do with the store (they only carry premium products, including TEC grouting), I felt I had to write this review. At the end of the day if you want to get great tile at a great price and /or need advice or a critical eye to review anything, Tile wholesalers of Newark, or their sister online store, https://brickcitytile.com/.

After reading the reviews, I figured this would be a good place to comparison shop. Best decision I could have made!!! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was an amazing business. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Another very important point for me was that there was absolutely no sales pressure. That's a HUGE plus! Long story short, I had received a quote for over $46,000.00 for the cabinets I wanted. This quote did not include any extras like pull out tray/drawers, lazy susans, utensil cabinets next to stove, etc. The price I ended up paying for all of the same cabinets from the original quote from the other guy plus additional cabinets, special pieces, drawer pulls, lazy susan/utensil drawer/pull out trays/drawers, etc. was just under $21,000.00!!! This price was for the exact same manufacturer (Fabuwood) and same exact color as quoted by the other guy...That's a $25,000.00 difference! (If my actual cost seems like a lot please note I got an insane amount of cabinets/pantries, etc.) Also, I don't know how I was so fortunate as to work extensively with Furkhan, but he was incredible throughout the entire renovation process! Despite the fact that I knew what I wanted for our renovations, I knew nothing about the actual process/details. Furkhan was pretty much available 24/7 and spent an endless amount of time with me going over every detail, making sure I didn't miss anything I might need, and answering my never ending questions. He took the time to learn exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to ensure the desired results! He also came up with ideas that seemed minor but ultimately made the difference between me really liking my kitchen to absolutely loving it!!! (I still just look at the kitchen when I walk in and smile at the results). Another huge plus was that he worked seamlessly with my contractor and everyone else involved in the project (plumber, appliance place, etc.) to ensure the smooth flow of every aspect of the project. Even when I had a small problem with an outside vendor, he took care of it for me and made sure it was resolved immediately. He kept on top of everything going on and kept me updated accordingly. I cannot possibly thank Art of Kitchen Tile & Bath enough for all their hard work. Everyone who has walked into our house cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is and about the quality of the work! And I can never thank Furkhan enough for his insights and suggestions and handling the project with such professionalism as well as following up on every detail to ensure the incredible results we achieved! This is by far the longest review I have ever written. But they are by far one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with so I have to share this information!
