After having a good experience with the male owner a couple of months ago (he was very kind and sweet and helped me), I thought I would go in there to get some photocopies done. BIG BIG mistake. I needed one each of 10 originals and handed them over to the mid-40's woman who was there on her own. Well, they came out horribly blotchy, dark and totally unreadable and she actually expected me to PAY for them! I told her that I could not possibly send these to the New York State Attorney General's office, they didn't look professional. She just shrugged and told me that she only worked there, and wasn't responsible. I mean, this is not Rocket Science, it's just a dam tabletop photocopier. If you're not responsible, who is? And why would you not realize that no professional organization would find these copies at all acceptable?
I left, refusing to pay. However, I had to come back. Thinking about it, there was a lot of personal and identifying information in those copies which would have been a problem in the wrong hands. When I went back, I tried to reason with her. Maybe she could just shred them? However, she wasn't having any of it, and said there was no shredder so I had to pay for them in order to bring them home to shred. I ended up going elsewhere, and doing my own copies for half the price.
So, two stars for the male owner who was a sweetheart. No stars for this dipstick. read more
