Nestled in amongst high-rises, sandwich shops and the usual Midtown stuff, is this little gem of a nutritional supplement store. I have been a customer of Nutripharma for quite some time. It is not very large and it is easy to miss, but it is definitely worth the trip. I live a very healthy lifestyle and see an eastern medicine doctor as well as a western doctor. My eastern doctor recommended some supplements as well as this store as the best place to go. The staff here are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is a naturopathic pharmacist / doctor on staff and he can also help with the process. They help you quickly find what you need and get you on your way. I often call in my orders and pick them up later in the day. What I also like is that they keep a record of everything you buy so when I go in to get something for my wife and can't remember what it was, they just look it up. There is no sales pressure or condescending attitudes, either. Just nice people. Lastly, their prices are very competitive with anything you will find on Amazon or a big vitamin store chain. I love this family operated nutritional store. Everyone who works here is a nutritional expert. Every condition I've asked for advice with they have given me an answer. I've also always have been offered different products, never pushed to buy anything. I love their service and knowledge. I love how accommodating they are and considerate. One product Andrew recommended for nerve pain works so well for me I can actually rest at night now. I currently am suffering from four pinched nerves in my neck and am recovering from two surgeries. This place is a little small but they have a ton of awesome homeopathic products and vitamins. The plus to shopping at a place like this is the customer service. I think I've mentioned before how I love being doted on. Nutri-pharma scores big points in this area! Seriously, this is the type of place where you could go in, say something inane like "I have this weird pain above my left eye... can you recommend anything?" and they would totally help you. I saw one of the guys behind the counter spending a LARGE amount of time talking to a woman about her menopause. I went there today and asked for "this stuff with a turquoise cap" and the guy helping me dashed over to a shelf and returned with the very "Wellness Formula" I had been seeking! This is one of the worst experiences in nutrition store in my entire life. I am the man of color, and when I walked into the store, the person looked at me, then intentionally neglected my appearance. I had trouble looking at small words, and the staff didn't say a word. As a result I left the store and purchased the vitamin in other store. This store is a racist, discriminating against minority. I DON'T recommend the store to anyone. Rate?? I've been a loyal customer of Ken Lok, Nutri-Pharma's pharmacist for decades. Ken is a super pharmacist. In my humble opinion, often more informed than any doctor; for supplements, how and when to take them as well, interactions, and often good, solid medical advice - but only if he deems it appropriate - or he will say you must talk to a doctor. Their products are only the best and their prices are mostly discounted. Service is excellent and now that I've moved to Mexico, Ken just sent my order to LA where my husband happened to be for a week. Prompt, courteous, reliable, efficient. What more can anyone ask for? Got a long list of vitamins I needed to get from my nutritionist and decided to give this place a shot. I showed up to this place with the list and the person at the store efficiently loaded up a tray full of everything I needed. He was very knowledgeable and laid back. He even made a copy of my list for the store's records in the event that I have any questions/concerns and wanted to call them. Prices- I am an Amazon loyalist but due to my eagerness to start my regimen I opted out this time. However, I was dying to know how the prices compared to Amazon, and so as soon as I got home I literally looked up the prices of each item I purchased. I was amazed to find out that 99% of the vitamins were actually cheaper at Nutri Pharma!! And plus you don't have to worry about the nearing expiration dates which usually accompany vitamins from Amazon. The place is small, clean and efficiently laid out. Really - he has worked closely with so many different doctors and he has read so much and is not only well-informed but genuinely concerned with his clients health. It's a small shop with a huge inventory and an extremely professional, knowledgeable staff who can answer questions about anything, and are willing to take the time. I have been shopping here for decades. My doctor recommends obscure brands that I can find here at the lowest prices. If I am out-of-town I have them ship to me. There is a huge difference in effectiveness of supplements from brand-to-brand. They know which to recommend, and carry the brands that are usually sold just by doctors.
