We've been really enjoying coming here over the past couple of years. Finding things is a hit or miss, but we still get to fairly consistently find some good things. Prices are fair - sometimes you get super good deals and sometimes they overprice things. Would recommend checking out at least once so you can see for yourself if you like it or not! They have a parking lot out front.

PROS: The people here were nice and everything was clean and organized. Large selection of stuff ranging from clothes to bric-a-brac. They have self-checkout registers that make the process faster and there's loads of parking CONS: A lot of the stuff is overpriced and its hard to find the entrance to this place. It's also in a bad area in the sense of being crimeful OVERALL: If you're in the area and you're into thrifting than I would suggest this place for you. However, not everything is priced as low as you'd expect

Read flyer that states early opening for VIP members in all locations but the Bronx.

I just had the worse experience at Myunique in Union city NJ. January 21, 2023. Due to this I won't return here. I was profiled due to the color of my skin by the clerk checking receipt at the door. It is a awful feeling and this treatment is unacceptable. I pray no one will ever feel this, I'm so upset my hands were shaking. As I was scanning my purchases at the machine the clerk by the door told the women watching everyone to watch me place my items in the bag. So the women got closer as I continue to scan my items. I ask the women what she said to her and she said "oh nothing". So as she watched me the old man next to me need help because he needed a bag. They no longer have the large store red bags so you have to buy the ones at the front near the counter. Knowing this I bring my own bags so I don't have to keep wasting money. I even have my name on all my bags just so they will see I didn't take their bags. When I completed my payment I went over to the clerk by the door and gave her my two receipts (like always. I ring up shoes separately)and she ask did I have anything I showed her my two bags and she then starts to say in Spanish she needs to check my bags. So I asked why and the girl by me said she needed to count what was in my bags. Which is a load of crap since I've shopped in this myunique for the last 2 1/2 years almost 2-3 times a week and they have NEVER opened my bags. Why would they when there are workers standing right over you when you scan your purchases. I place my bags on the table and she takes each one out counting (after she did this to the women next to me)and unraveling each one. As she is counting out my items there are people (lighter than myself) walking by with their items and she hasn't checked their receipts or items in the bag the man had. Very suspicious. I had been shopping in the store all day, I saw security and workers throughout and no one stop me or asked if I were stealing anything. When she finished counting out my purchases she goes and shoved the items into the bags and let's the next person go by. That's when I asked for a manager really loudly because I was humiliated. I don't need to steal from anyone I have money and I don't have a problem with thief. I do believe I was targeted by the clerk due to my skin color since the only other person items she check was the women next to me and she didn't count out her items. She did that for show. I will NOT spend my money in any establishment where the workers think it's ok to use their position and bias against others. It is horrible how management accepts this since they did not help when I call for them. They looked over and did nothing but send another worker who does not speak English (women over who was standing over me while I scanned my purchases). Such a horrible feeling. NOT WORTH IT.

Prices were astronomical for a thrift store, wouldn't mind paying more money if the products and garments were actually good.

Fire spot. They have some great deals and several locations in both NYC and NJ. Definitely recommend

Prices are high for clothes. They have been over pricing a lot of things in the store.

However, like other Unique locations, there were three colored tags on sale so that brought some of the higher prices down.

They had a lot of items from nick nacks to clothing. As I sorted thru some items I didn't find anything I wanted but my friend was able to find a nice dress for a good price.

The greyish brunette woman, older in age, that I gave my donations to opened up the bins outside, dug through and picked out the worst items, including a clean pair of underwear to hold and shame up in my face in public like a dog and scolded me (my mistake, I missed some small items during sorting, but I don't think harassment is acceptable). The entire experience was humiliating and meant to humiliate. She rolled her eyes at valuables like designer shoes and large brass candelabras inside the bins. I had some heavier bins. Neighbors unrelated to this organization off the street helped me while this woman said "we don't do that here" (I grew up Christian, and these are not Christian values). She looked up and down at me and asked if I "even had children's clothes" and I said "I didn't think so." Whatever baby stuff was in there was high quality and unused. She locked eyes with me for a while scowling. She rolled her eyes later at the designer diaper bag with tag still affixed. I left crying. There are many other more reputable places in the area that are kind, more down to earth and cater towards middle-class clientele. I like the ones near Central Ave and the homeless shelter definitely needs goods. I recommend not going here and supporting this business. If you choose so, you put donations by their side door.
