Sadly things have changed for me as far as my experience with this store. Service just isn't as helpful as it used to be. While they are very sweet it's just not as fun or helpful to shop there anymore. It feels as though the people working there just aren't as knowledgeable about fashion or aren't as in tune with peoples needs when they come in and say what they're looking for. I think the most disappointing thing is that I no longer can plan on finding something when I visit. I have visited about four times in a row looking for items for trips or parties or every day wear and haven't found anything that tickles my fancy. There seems to be a lot of T-shirts nowadays and things that aren't as inspiring for me. This is a wonderful shop! This was my first time going here and let me begin by saying the store is clean and smells amazing! The girls behind the counter are so helpful and amazing. I was truly shocked by the wonderful customer service. I am used to the boutiques in NY where being rude is normal- so this was a very pleasant change. The first day I tried on a pair of beautiful wife leg pant in a S and L. I needed a M and the sales associate told me she has one at the Jersey City location and if I could wait- she would have it in 10 min! I was shocked! I was running late to get back to work- so I told her I'll come and get it on Monday. After going back on Monday- she bring it over but kept it in her car. So she asked if I could come back before the end of the day. I told her I'll just wait until tomorrow. While I was there she showed me a huge box of new stuff (in the packaging) that was delivered that morning! She showed me everything And got my sizes to try on! I fell in love with a body suit and a two piece set! I went back the next day to buy the pants and ended up getting the pants, a body suit and a two piece set (maxi). Mint Market is the BEST boutique on this side of the Hudson! They always have new items and the staff is super helpful! I love that they offer something different. Not your typical "playing it safe" boutique with the same old stuff you see everywhere. Great experience in here today, they're just starting to get in all their adorable spring stuff! And she said there is SO much more on the way the rest of the month so I may have to be back. I love stopping in here on my way to my friends in Hoboken, they always have such cute things and check-in on Yelp for 10% off! Every time I have stopped in I've come out with a purchase or two - very girly, on-trend dresses, rompers, cover-ups, tops, shorts - they usually have a good selection of everything. Hoboken is filled with boutiques, unfortunately most are very forever21-esque (aka shops for basic b's), and nothing special. Mint Market, however is a straight gem. This place has a great selection of clothing and accessories at reasonable price points. This place is my go-to for unique statement jewelry. Ever have a Pretty Woman moment? Where you go into a store and get judged for how you appear, well I did. I always pass by this store and loved looking in the window, today I saw this outfit that I wanted to look at for my company dinner. So I went in and was not greeted by any of the staff, but was immediately looked up and down by them feeling judged. I was not offered any help while I was in there. Mint Market is a hidden gem! A great mix of contemporary and quality select vintage pieces....and not at the hyper-marked up prices. Ive picked up some treasures! I bought an amazing 70s white maxi dress, vintage secretary blouses, a Tiffany's silver necklace for $40!! that only needed a little TLC, and a vintage 60s fur coat. The coat is in perfect condition for its age and a very unique shape and fit and for only $250!! The selection of vintage jewelry is fantastic, great pieces to mix in with modern tops. read more

I love Mint Market! I have to fight to not walk in every day on my way home from the Path to see what new things they have in store. I can't tell you how many times I've passed by the window in the morning on my way to work, fell in love with what they had on the mannequin, just to run in asap on my way home that night to buy it for myself! All of the girls are incredibly sweet; the owner/buyer is awesome and has great taste. The other run-of-the-mill boutiques in Hoboken are OK, if you are basic and enjoy playing it safe in leggings and a North Face. However, I gravitate towards the edgy and original. I have never written a post on Yelp in my life but had to write a post about this store. I have lived in hoboken for over 5 years now; first on 7th and willow and now in the sky club on 1st street. It is fair to say, I have been to a majority, if not all, of the clothing boutiques in town. When Mint Market opened up down the street from me, I was cautiously optimistic about a new boutique right by my apartment. For starters, most of the boutiques in Hoboken are completely overpriced, the quality of the clothes is terrible, owners do not merchandise the store correctly, they don't know the Hoboken market well enough to attract loyal customers and above all else, the customer service is average at best (most of the boutiques - not all). Mint market was a COMPLETELY breath of fresh air. The store sells both new and vintage clothing; all exceptionally well made and beautiful. The Prices are exceptional with averaging 50 - 100 dollars but you can find most of the clothes around the 50 dollar price point. The vintage clothes are unbelievable - Last week I was in there and saw a vintage Christian Dior bustier and a gold Chanel bangle. The price points were obviously higher than a $100 but that's reasonable. The store is beautifully decorated and exceptionally merchandised. The store owner, Valerie, is one of the nicest most personable shop owners I have ever come in contact with. She is a Miami transplant (where she had her own shop there) but knows Hoboken clientele like the back of her hand. I have bought numerous pieces from her and every time I am in there she helps style me and tells me what kind of stuff she has coming in. She knows what I like and how to help me shop which is really, in my opinion, is a service you can't put a price on. Just last week I told her I was looking for some new jackets for the fall and she asked me what kind of jackets I liked to see if she could find me some at the right price point - that is going above and beyond in customer service. I walked into Mint Market on a Friday whim. I'm a browse-queen so I expected to try on a few pieces and then continue on my way. However, Mint's selection is impressively varied and unique. The contemporary pieces have a vintage flare and all the vintage pieces feel hand picked. The women working in the shop were supportive, complimentary, and honest! (No one wants to be told they need the next size up, but sometimes that piece of info is necessary-- I ended up buying the bigger size.) I ended up spending quite a bit, but the owner Valerie threw in a pair of earrings!! I love stores that reward their customers and make you feel welcome. As if all this weren't enough, alterations on in store pieces are free. It made buying a gown that was too long for me completely worth it. read more
