Easily my favorite little shop in Hoboken. You can find something for everyone and all the employees are so helpful. I've walked in on multiple occasions, given a brief description of who I was shopping for, and they've given multiple gift options. It definitely gets crowded in their so just be careful if you're visiting with a stroller! I'm always nervous to knock something off the shelves. read more

Surprised by the low rating. I love this local shop for unique gifts for everyone on your list. Welcoming, helpful staff that won't shadow you as you peruse the store. Great selection of home decor, wine openers, candles, and more. While a bit pricey, it's a great way to find something thoughtful and charming while supporting a local business. I recommend picking up a "rescued wine" candle. Not only is it handmade in the US, but it's made with all natural soy wax and encased in a repurposed wine bottle. Better yet, a portion of the proceeds are donated to support animal rights groups. And of course, they smell delicious. The notes of the candle are meant to mimic different wines like Riesling or Merlot. Definitely a unique find you can feel good about giving. This is the best gift shop in town! I come here for all my birthday, housewarming, baby, and hard-to-shop-for-guys gifts. They have different things for all styles and price points. Items like swell bottles/tumblers, sugarfuna, candles, cheese plates, mugs, kids toys and clothing, and funny cocktail napkins. Also, they have a limited quantity of all their items which means they get different things in weekly. read more

I came in for a wedding gift, but when I saw the sign outside that said "personalized gifts in 48 hours" I had to ask inside. I was able to order a personalize cutting board for my sisters wedding and it was ready and gift wrapped within 20hours! Such a beautiful gift and lovely staff. read more

Came here today. Wow what a fantastic store and it fits so perfect into the Hobokenites tastes. This is a great place to find fabulous gifts for those with great taste and wine lovers. They have a variety of wine accessories like beautiful leather wine totes, felt wine slings (awesome for those picnics), picnic blankets w/ carrying straps. NJ made soy candles that smell just divine, locally made lotions, old school shaving kits, dishes, beach totes and more. Definitely a great place to find something unique for the home. While I think this store is adorable and has a lovely collection of things, the store management/ownership has left an awful and uncomfortable impression. The first few times I went in, I was never greeted, only to find that the next crowds of people to come in would ALWAYS be greeted. Despite this, I brought friends/family to the store on future occasions for browsing, and again an unwelcome reaction from the same young lady manning the store each of the times (and again, anyone else to come in would be acknowledged). I don't know if it's discrimination against Asians or what, but it's been disheartening and I won't ever be back. read more

I stop in here at least once a month (if not each week if I'm passing by on the weekend while doing errands). The quality of what this store carries is great-really gifts (think frames, candles, jewelry, etc.) and they switch it up based on the season/holiday. I have purchased many a thing from here (both for myself/my own home and for others as gifts), and I couldn't be happier. The only reason I wouldn't give this 5 stars is it's a bit pricey, but for what you're getting (quality) it's totally worth it. Make sure you sign up for emails-they almost never send them, but when they do, there's usually a 10-20%off coupon. And what's even better is they just launched a website too, so if you don't have time to run by (although I suggest you do), you can pick up boxes gifts online. read more

Washington General Store is a fantastic spot for one of a kind gifts and home decor. I picked up an adorable, framed elephant for my son's room and some scented candles for our living room. This is the perfect store if you are in the market for a unique gift, no matter how old the recipient is. read more

Everything is extremely upcharged. I wanted go buy a madlib for a friend. The price on the madlib itself was just a few bucks. It was upcharged to almost 18 dollars. That is insane. Why would I pay such an absurd amount for that. Everything else is quite overpriced as well. read more

Although I agree with others that this has good finds, this store is ridiculously overpriced. A small decoration for $160, a jewelry holder for $50, um what?! You can find similar quality and options at home goods for a fraction of the cost. While I do believe that at times the quality is worth a little extra money, this is definitely not one of those cases. read more

Found a lot of great little gifts that I know my family members are going to love. When I got to the counter, there were two employees who wrapped my gifts which I thought was a nice touch. However, one of them sloppily ripped off the price tag from the carved piece of artwork I purchased and when I asked if it was going to come off completely, they were super moody about it and even laughed at me as I left - which was unnecessary, not discreet and immature. Terrible return policy. Received a gift and did not love locally to exchange it. Tried about 90 days later when I was local to the store and they would not exchange it. Really bad business. Funny part is we probably would have spent considerably more than the credit. read more

Was walking past and saw this store and walked in. I wish I had known it was here sooner! Absolutely a wonderful little store. No other store like it in Hoboken - has cute little trinkets for the house, great place to get housewarming gifts or just gifts in general for someone. The store has really great diversity in items. The owners are SO nice (and they have an adorable puppy named Georgia who helps man the counter).
