I had to quickly grab a housewarming gift for a first visit to a dear friends new house (while my grumbly husband waiting in the car). So I selected a delicious Olive Blossom & Hyacinth, Amazing! And on the way to the register, passed the "guys" table and found a perfect space-themed puzzle for their young son. I asked the staff if I could get individual gift bags and in a blur of ribbons and smiles, they removed gift prices & I was handed two BEAUTIFUL gifts bags, and informed "The puzzle's in the larger bag." When I got…read morehome and tried everything on, I realized one pair of shorts still had the security tag attached. The shorts also didn't fit, so I drove back to the store hoping to exchange them for a different size. I completely understand that stores have policies, and I respect the no-exchange policy. However, I paid in cash and wasn't informed of that policy at checkout, which made the situation a little confusing. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to help or understand the issue, the employee I spoke with seemed to assume I wasn't being truthful about where or when I purchased the item. I was told that I may have bought it at another location, even though this was my first time ever visiting the store and I had purchased multiple items that day. The shorts still had the original tag and security device attached, showing they had never been worn. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just hoping to exchange them for a size that fit after having to make an extra trip because the security tag had been left on. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What left a negative impression was feeling talked down to rather than treated like a valued customer. A little understanding and customer service would have gone a long way.

I already knew Kerry had beautiful pieces and great style, so I was very excited to work with her. Before we got started, I had some normal nerves and worries about the process and in one session with Kerry, they were all gone. I felt like she knew exactly what I wanted, even if I didn't even know how to verbalize it. She listened, was accommodating, sensitive to our needs, and found beautiful pieces to show us at our appts. I was involved in the initial stages of planning however my (now ) fiancé and Kerry finalized the design together so the final result was still a surprise to me. I truly couldn't have picked something better if I had picked it myself. I spend an embarrassing amount of time staring at it because I love it so much. I'm forever grateful for Kerry and my/our experience at Love Locked, having her involved in this milestone of our lives is something that we will never forget. If you're in the market for unique and timeless jewelry, want to find some great products from local businesses, and/or overall just want to have your day brightened, I highly recommend you check out Love Locked. The greyish brunette woman, older in age, that I gave my donations to opened up the bins outside, dug through and picked out the worst items, including a clean pair of underwear to hold and shame up in my face in public like a dog and scolded me (my mistake, I missed some small items during sorting, but I don't think harassment is acceptable). The entire experience was humiliating and meant to humiliate. She rolled her eyes at valuables like designer shoes and large brass candelabras inside the bins. I had some heavier bins. Neighbors unrelated to this organization off the street helped me while this woman said "we don't do that here" (I grew up Christian, and these are not Christian values). She looked up and down at me and asked if I "even had children's clothes" and I said "I didn't think so." Whatever baby stuff was in there was high quality and unused. She locked eyes with me for a while scowling. She rolled her eyes later at the designer diaper bag with tag still affixed. I left crying. There are many other more reputable places in the area that are kind, more down to earth and cater towards middle-class clientele. I like the ones near Central Ave and the homeless shelter definitely needs goods. I recommend not going here and supporting this business. If you choose so, you put donations by their side door.
