The window displays at this location are so hideously ugly. You guys need to stop hiring sally from north jersey and start hiring privanka from brooklyn cuz the displays do NOT make me want to come in lol. Its actually horrible. This is a designer store, why did the worker try to lowball me on my vintage 65th anniversary coach bag at $15? Are they demented? It literally has sold listings for $950 on ebay. Has a reasonable range but very overpriced and staffed by the rudest people I ever met in retail.

I came here twice to shop. The items vary in price and selection. The first time I came here, I was asked if I needed help and I said I came here to buy a coat. The staff member showed me to sections, one with high end and one with low ends. I dont know how to take it but I was thankful. i truly wanted to buy a coat this time around and he was very helpful but the sizes were mostly XS, S, and M. Large were far and in between. So I came here a second time a month later and found my large coat for a decent price! read more

If you're expecting to make a lot of money for your valuable items, this is NOT your place. Don't expect a phone call, just make sure you come back before closing on that SAME day in order to receive any cash otherwise it gets donated and no payout. The store was a mess and it smelled like feet so my desire to spend any time there to shop was depleted. On the flipside, there was an abundance of merchandise to choose from, it just wasn't displayed properly with no rhyme or reason of placement in the store. read more

I was hopeful that the other reviews weren't true but I was proven wrong. No customer service, the employee was very rude and I immediately turned around and left. I walked up to the counter was asked what I brought in today so I replied "just one bag of women's clothing" and the employee then wanted me to list out what I brought. And then basically do their job for them, asking me to separate out the stuff they listed as what they could take. Instead of her just going through my one bag like a regular consignment store. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Just go to the 13th street Crossroads location! They are very nice there and will actually treat you like a human being! If I could give 2nd street a 0 I would. read more

Ridiculous policies. I brought clothes in, but was told they couldn't review them today. Instead, I have to pick them up or they'll donate them--no money, no exception. My ID was expired by two days, and they still refused to accept a different valid government-issued ID or even a photo of my renewed license. don't bother coming to sell your items - they offered me $26 for 3 large duffle bags worth of stuff I thought that was so much lower than Crossroads in the city. I took the same clothes on the same day to the crossroads in the city $275 is what they gave me. for shopping I'm not sure - but the staff is extremely rude like on a whole new level def do fit into the Hoboken culture. read more

Probably the worst 2nd street to come to jersey. They don't offer you anything and if so it's penny's of what the pieces are actually worth. If you can sell your coveted clothing anywhere else please do it you'll save time, energy, + frustration from trying to explain to prepubescent children that they've highly undervalued the pieces they're buying! today's experience was perhaps the worst one i've had with this location. i appreciate them accepting 2 out of my 4 items. however, they claim that they're not allowed to say if an item is fake or not due to store policy, but they were obviously insinuating that my other two items are not up to there standards and not authentic; which is blasphemy. one item was worn once and the other was never worn, yet they couldn't accept those 2 items due to their authentication app denying them. i'm not sure if they use the check app or some bad authentication app, but both of those items were legitimate as i have receipts for both of them and i would never sell them a fake item as it's a waste of both of our time. the cherry on top was when they added my carrying bag that i brought my items with as an item that i was selling when i told them explicitly that i'm selling items inside my bag. the coworkers were also being passive aggressive to me and it was honestly an embarrassing situation that makes me not want to go back. i'll be selling my items at the new york city locations as i used to before even thinking about going to the hoboken location. read more

Actually flabbergasted at their buying model. At least places like Buffalo Exchange give you a % of what they are going to retail it at so you can have some context of their buying price. This place literally buys things for $1. They bought multiple dresses and tops brand (new with tags on) for ONE dollar. They bought accessories for 10 cents. I didn't even realize how robbed I was until after I already left and looked at the price break down receipt they gave me. Actually insane especially since it's not like things in their store are cheap....most things are between $20-$60+. Definitely just make the trek to the city to sell or try selling on poshmark before you come here. read more

Brought in two large bags of barely worn clothes. Including designer shoes in very good condition. Other brands including aritza, Bloomingdale's, Abercrombie etc. out of the two large bags they took 5 things totaling $18... one item was new with tags for $147.... Immediately took that back and gave up 3 items for $13. Staff was condensing when I mentioned the new with tags item and told me they look at resale value... yet they have edikted skirts listed for $20.... Id rather spend the time listing on Poshmark to make my actual money back somewhat... staff was not friendly nor helpful. A shame because they do have some cute pieces but it is outweighed by a lot of outdated brands and styles. Probably will never sell there again. read more

SELLERS BEWARE!!!! This place gave me $3 dollars for each brand new, designer clothing item, that I brought to them. They each had a tag and some were in original shipping packaging. The person knew they were ripping me off, and was shocked I didn't get mad and leave with my things. But I was so exhausted at the end of my day, I just said yes, and wanted to go home. This place is UNETHICAL to rip people off like this. They should be ashamed of themselves!! read more

Go sell elsewhere! Not only are they not trained to authenticate designer labels and items, they lose your items and then claim it was never brought in. They pass the buck and don't respond to your phone calls and emails. Managers promise to look into the matter and fail to resolve issues. They clearly do not want your business with this level of customer service. It was my first time selling with 2nd Street, and I only brought in a small sample to see what they look for and how much they offer - seriously, just don't waste your time. read more

Was walking by outside and an item caught my eye and I was highly interested in purchasing. Walked in at 7:57PM even though they close at 8pm. They immediately shouted at us that they close at 8pm and there was a line of customers checking out at the register (2ppl). There were 4 girls standing at the register and as me and my friend both wanted to buy something they told us they closed the register and that they "would get fired if they made a sale." As a high-end children's luxury wear boutique owner I would never fault my employees for displaying excellent customer service and closing a sale. These employees, One girl with black long curly hair and the other with thinner straight dark hair, were aggressive and rude. Horrible customer service in my 15yrs of working in fashion I've never been treated this way and wouldn't keep the employee. They told us that the items would be there tomorrow when I said I had a flight in the morning. Go to the NY location wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Fun place to shop. Not a great place to sell your clothing. The process is a bit convoluted, depending on which sales representative you're talking to. One representative said my items submitted for evaluation/pricing would be claimed by them if I didn't return that day, but another representative said I had 7 days to get back. Ultimately, the offered amounts were very low, so you're probably better off going elsewhere. The price I was offered was so low that I'd be better off donating the clothing to charity instead and taking the tax deduction. read more
