Moving along, went to the store on a busy Saturday afternoon, and there was indeed a great selection of clothes that i was in search of. The downside is that the dressing rooms don't have a seat inside and due to a knee injury i had to wait a long time for the only stall to become available. The dressing room area is extremely busy and the staff appeared overwhelm with the consumption of clothes left behind by customers. The space in the store is good, nothing appears cluttered or scattered and the floors are kept clean. Needed to use the restroom and that is also an area that only has one per gender and the lines become a bit much. Due to the restrooms overuse it definitely requires additional cleaning to maintain it clean and stocked with toiletries. Overall ok experience, I was not asked if I needed assistance by a staff member.

I'm a huge fan of their multicolor gel ink cap pens and stationary items. This specific Muji location is located in the historic Chelsea Market. There is an entrance right on Ninth Avenue or you can enter through Chelsea Market. I've always enjoyed walking around Muji stores and looking around the store. This location also has a Muji Market and I'll be writing a separate review for Muji Market as well. I saw there was a special on 50% off Instant Matcha Latte and grabbed a bag since I really enjoy their Instant Matcha Latte ($4.45). I also purchased a clear bag case ($5.90) and writing stationary set ($3.90). The checkout line was quick and the staff were friendly. After purchasing my items, I looked at my receipt and noticed that the 50% off Instant Matcha Latte was not applied and I asked the staff member. She said it was only for those that expire in September 2026. We took a look at the bag and confirmed the expiration date. She proceeded with refunding the difference and apologized. The mirrors are fantastic though. What I love about this store is the sales people and the selection. First on selection. I have found pieces at this location I have found nowhere else. I will go to each one of the stores in Manhattan and in California all in the same weekend. I have found pieces here I could not find at department stores as well. If you ask, sometimes they will honor prices that department stores have on sale. For example on occasion Bloomingdales will have a friends and family sale that applies to Theory. If they have the same exact items at Bloomingdales, some of the sales people here will match. That goes a long way towards Good will with repeat customers like myself. The sales people are super friendly and very helpful. I have never felt any of them were pushy or trying to oversell. I have found them to be honest and candid about fit and styling. The only thing I wish they did more of is emailing clients when you pieces came in or sales were happening like many of the stores and designers that are local. For example, Isabel Marant sends me a PDF with all of their new styles and will hold pieces. I would love it at the sales people did that here with some of the more special attire. Over all though even the security people are super friendly and I know them as well! Feels like I am walking into my own closet when I come here. I'm not sure what they're monitoring but the guard checks something and then opens the ropes to let you in. This made getting between floors time consuming and when you're carrying a lot of clothes in your arms, it's tiring to navigate and to go up and down. The store feels empty at first glance but then when you make your way to check out, there's a line of like 20 people and 2 cashiers working, even though they area has about 8-10 registers. The wait can get quite long. I was in a hurry once and after finding what I needed, I just couldn't wait the long line to purchase my items and just had to abandon them to make my next appointment.
