It's just the right combination of the amenities of a great hotel with the feeling you've never left home. It's also great to wake up after a day or two of wine tasting and know that you don't have to be out by noon! There are three different locations on the property to stay from to fit your group size and price range. I stayed at the largest house, known as the Syrah. It has 3 bedrooms and more than enough bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked when we arrived and the entire house was immaculate. We went right out to the pool which was breathtaking! This was the ultimate post-winery relaxation spot, there's an outdoor grill and kitchen and of course it was all about the hot tub! All of the common rooms are big enough for your whole group to sit and relax in, whether it's playing games or watching TV. There's even a Wii, exercise equipment and a selection of good books! There's a fountain in the main parking lot, which you can hear trickling and it's just the ultimate relaxation for say, chronically stressed people like me! The location is just minutes away from the Sonoma Town square where you can grab a bite to eat, of course a drink and relax in the beautiful park outside City Hall. The best part is that the owners are very accommodating and can make anything work as far as your plans are concerned. I can't wait to stay here again!

I made all of my arrangements with Mike Marino and he was great to work with. He replied immediately after my first email inquiry and from there we planned the visit. He also met my husband and I upon arrival at the house and showed us around the property, including the other two rentals on site - very easy going, polite, friendly, all of the above! The house is very well-equipped, nice furniture and linens, very clean, ample room both upstairs and down. The bedrooms are large and 2.5 baths worked out fine for the six of us. The outdoor area is great! Unfortunately, it was cold and pouring down rain all weekend, that's the risk with the end of March! We still utilized the great in-ground hot tub both nights! My girlfriend and I sat under an umbrella, sipping our wine! We can't wait to come back over the summer and use the pool, outdoor kitchen and dining area. The location was perfect for us - close to grocery stores, the downtown Plaza, restaurants, but also not far from the wineries in Glen Ellen and Kenwood. For the Savor Sonoma event, Mike suggested we use CA Wine Tours (he owns the company :-) to rent a limo for the day, which was worth every cent. Again, great service and professionalism. They arrived 10 min early and even took me to Starbucks for an espresso on the way home after all of that wine tasting! Except for Mother Nature, I give the whole weekend 5 stars!

The house is a cozy 2 bedroom with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on; seriously we wanted to take it home. The bathroom is a little small but we never seemed to have a problem with 4 people sharing it. The plants and trees around the house are absolutely beautiful, they're perfect surrounding the adorable look of the house. I highly recommend staying here if you are staying with one other couple or a small family. It could get a little crowded if it's more than that.

We had 2 couples, but the bathroom is spacious and never caused an issue for any of us. The place is very clean; towels and sheets all smelled like a Downey commercial. You can tell it is all very well taken care of; beds were very comfortable too. It is stocked w/ anything/everything you can think of needing during your stay and you're well within walking distance of downtown for excellent wine tasting and restaurants. The English gardens are beautiful and sitting areas around the back of the house are perfect for a cozy hour of reading/relaxing. The only downside to our stay were the 2 cats that decided to get it on our last night at 1AM for about 20 mins. That's the house's fault...we were just unlucky, I guess. The neighborhood is very nice; no worries about crime. Overall, we were very safe, more than pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again. It had all the comforts of home and even had a bocce court out back, which we weren't home enough to use. We never encountered the neighbors on either side so no complaints there. The only "complaint" is the windows are original so they're paper thin and you can hear traffic and even bugs knocking up against the windows. This wasn't in any way enough of a deterrent to keep me from booking here again in the future. Owners were great to work with and answered questions in a timely manner, which I'm discovering after years of renting private homes is a rarity! Perfect for your Napa vacay!
