After moving here from Los Angeles a few years back I was so scared to try new eyebrow threading place.... But I absolutely love Minaz and the team! I have now been coming here for over 5 years!!! I would not trust anyone else in the KC area with my eyebrows... I take them very seriously lol. Honestly love them they have become like a second family to me! I also recently started adding the tinting to them and it's my favorite doesn't last too long but adds to my shape in such a natural way! Also every now and then I'll treat myself to a quick mask they have like two options and it's only 12 dollars! (The rose water mask is what I do) Sometimes there can be a wait (I usually get lucky and time when I go) but I talked with Minaz and it's so hard to find workers, I say either way it's worth the wait! I'm a little sensitive to there wax but I still use it on my upper lip and don't have any breakouts! Definitely recommend this place it's my go to every two weeks. read more

A little pricey (all beauty services are outside NYC oddly enough), but I might go again. I like my brows to look really think and natural and they took a little too much off despite my request not to. Also, for what they charge, they might do a little extra details when they are done like applying lotion (should really be Neosporin since pulling hairs technically creates tiny tears in heathy skin). But you will get tradition threading here. Which is nice. read more

I was greeted immediately upon entering and taken to a room to have my eyebrows threaded. Sonica (spellcheck) created small conversation and emphasized that she hopes I like the job she does...and I did! She kept my natural shape and didn't thread off too much hair. Normally, I have someone thread my brows way too thin, but these were absolutely perfect. The best part was that it was fast. I was in and out in 9 minutes flat! I Will be back. I also received a rewards card from them that I can use in the future after 5 visits! The only reason I gave this 4 stars was because it does have a slightly weird odor to the building. Maybe diffusers or plug ins would help. I also did not see my technician perform any hand hygiene (washing hands or using hand sanitizer) prior to nor after touching my face. read more

Passing through and needed a last minute appointment. This place had one within the hour. Did eyebrow/lip threading, and the Brazilian. I've been to several different people for this service, and of all, today's experience was by far the least painful. She was careful, precise, and clarified to make sure I got the service I sought. She made sure I was ok, as opposed to many high volume establishments that literally rip through your appointment. If I was staying in the area, this would be go to place! I moved here a few months ago and tried to push finding a threading salon out as long as I could. Cut to this morning when my bushy eyebrows resembled that of an 8 year old boy. They had to be taken care of. Mystique is perfectly situated in a small shopping center with ample parking. I was able to get in and out the ease. I had my brows and chin threaded. I had been to this store twice but my experience on the third time was not good. The girl who usually works there did my threading and upper lip wax. She didnt clean my facial hair and was ready to ring me in the register. I looked at the mirror.I looked at the mirror and facial hair all over my eyes. This is my maybe 10th visit and I have to admit I love threading! The Tech who serviced me (Minaz) was kind and very efficient she even recommended getting chin and lip and that came out great! I moved back to Kansas City looking for an experienced threader and risked trying this new place out. I saw Minaz and she is wonderful. I also noticed no one mentioned anything about Brazilian waxes here and Minaz did a fantastic job with mine! It's nothing fancy like some places with the steam and sugar scrubs she just gets to the point and you're done. Very old building but clean and licensed to do the job! The prices are very fair too and she always has specials going on! I get my eyebrows threaded, tinted darker, and upper lip waxed all for $28! read more

I had a terrible experience at this Salon. I will not recommend anyone to go here. The owner of this salon ruined my eyebrows. Now both my eyebrows look different. She had completely changed the shape of my eyebrows. She did not agree when I pointed this out. Instead she asked me to ' not create any scene' in front of her other customers. The owner was very rude and told me to get out of the salon. She also threatened to call police on me. I had a horrible experience. My eyebrows are ruined plus the owner here does not know how to talk with customer. Very bad customer service. read more

Nobody ever picked up the phone and when I was able to leave a message, nobody returned my call.

I've tried a few other eyebrow threading places in town and this is my go to, based on availability and price. I've only ever had to wait once. Very friendly and efficient. I've never had any issues with the quality of their work either. PS - It's located next to an Indian market so the entire place smells like curry. read more

I'm very upset, I pride myself on my eyebrows and have always been very particular about them. Today that changed, I'm embarrassed and I don't even want to do anything. My eyes brows were threaded WAY TOO THIN and the left and right don't even match. Not even close. I make this drive because I've had things done how I wanted but today no. my eyebrows are awful and I hate to say that and the threading hurt the worse it ever has in the past.
