I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had a terrible experience somewhere else getting my lashes done, they literally super glued my eyelashes shut. I was in so much pain and honestly really scared. These sweet, patient ladies took their time (hours!!) carefully removing all the glue and safely taking the lash glue off. It was such a painful process because of how badly my eyes had been messed up, but they were so gentle, comforting, and reassuring the entire time. They truly went above and beyond for me. My sister and I stopped in here Saturday. My sister wanted to get her brows tinted. She is blonde and three gal reshaped her brows and made them black. Two different shapes. She only wanted her natural brows tinted. I selected a stencil for henna for my hand. After two hand washings several hours later, it looks like a spotted mess. I had to scrub it off. Didn't even last 24 hours. Thankfully, my sister was able to scrub that horrible tint off her brows. I had asked to use the restroom and was told no. So high water of money. My daughter and I have been going here for quite some time. We only see one of the women here when we go in for services. She always greats us with a smile and asks how things are. She does a great job on threading and is very educational in the threading process. I miss the reward card that's they had for visits. The new electric system doesn't seem to work as well at tracking Visits. I think for dedicated customers a better option would be great. The salon is clean and well maintained. The store hours seem to be accommodating to the businesses in the area. I do wish they offered a restroom for paying customers though. I called the number for Zona Rosa on the website, and originally I was placed in a merge call with another customer! We were interrupting each other trying to ask a question. I asked if there was walk-ins and I was told they were walk ins only. I hung up. Weird call, but I need them done now so I'll go. I drove up and the door was locked. I waited outside for about 20 minutes. Mind you this was after the store was supposed to open. I called the number again and she said the person working there was at the beauty store. WHY would she JUST NOW go to the beauty store when your store should have been open 30 minutes ago? Also was told she'd be back by noon, an hour after they open. The other brow threaders nearby had an appointment around the same time so I chose to go there after this terrible service. Also posted on Google. Well I must say this would be the 15th or 14th time I've come here. The first time I came here, the lady was a little rude and wasn't the best at customer service but did an amazing job on my brows. With it being the 15th or 14th time, their customer service has improved tremendously. They still do amazing work and I always recommend people to come here. The only problem I have is how pricey it is. $15 for just brows. This is probably the most I've spent to have them done. With that being said, I wish they would bump the price down a little bit, maybe to $10? Update: they have completely turned around on their customer service! I have been going here for a few years now and have loved their work. I have followed the Covid measures over this past year. I wore a mask but it was NOT a specific one that was required (no where listed of "types" required in store or online). There were not any masks available free or for purchase at this establishment. I was denied service and told this is a REQUIREMENT but previous times no other staff member had shown or discussed specific mask types allowed. Incredibly disappointed and no longer supporting this business. It could have been handled differently! I support mask wearing and smaller businesses. I do not support being talked down to. I've shared this with staff in person and telling you if you go, have an N95 mask to be safe or go somewhere else. read more

HORRIBLE service... I'm from out of town so I tired this threading shop. First, the lady was rude! She denied me services that I was asking for in the first place. I wanted eyelash tint, eyebrow tint, and a lift...she said "No, not worth it". I proceeded to get my eyebrows threaded because I felt like she just didn't want to do all that I asked at first. I get our the chair...one eyebrow has an arch the other doesn't and SHE THINNED THEM. Very angry with the results and will never go back there! On my first visit to this place I told the lady that I wanted to keep the thickness and just clean up my eyebrows. For whatever reason she did not heed my instructions and when I got out of the chair they were thinner than I preferred. I chalked that experience up to being a growing pain of finding a new place and decided to give this place another chance and I'm glad I did! The next time I went in I had Miss M and she made sure to confirm with me what I wanted before getting started. My eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but she was able to make them both look even and spectacular. Would recommend going in on a Sunday afternoon and asking for Miss M! I absolutely love threading over waxing always. i found this place and couldn't be happier! every time i come, every employee is so nice. i decided to write this review because of my girl Mina!!! she threaded my brows and upper lip today and it DIDNT EVEN HURT!! she did the best job i've ever received in my life, and my face wasn't red at all! i got very little irritation but it went away so quickly! my brows and upper lip look so great! i recommend everyone come to this place. Was there yesterday. The lady was SOOOO RUDE!!! She literally raised her voice at me about using their "sanitizer lotion" before touching the screen which I did. At that moment I should've left ,but I didn't and then she botched my eyebrows and made them so thin. It's literally going to take me forever to grow them back out. I WILL NOT RETURN. I was pretty skeptical about coming here after reading the poor reviews in Yelp, but decided to give it a shot and come here anyway. I'm happy to report that I did not run into customer service issues as glaring as some of those detailed in other reviews. The sole employee in the shop was working on another client when my friend and I arrived, but she did acknowledge us and say hi. Once you're in the chair, it takes her 5 minutes, if that. I was pretty happy with how my brows turned out, however I did think the threading process hurt. It hurt maybe a little less than waxing but others had led me to believe it wouldn't hurt at all. Not sure if that was a flat lie or if the technician maybe wasn't as skilled as others? Either way, I was pleased with how my brows turned out and would come back again. As a side note, the lady in the shop did have her headset on but if she ever talked into it, I was blissfully unaware. I am most definitely not one to post reviews, let alone bad ones, HOWEVER, this place is awful. If I could give negative stars, I would. I went in this afternoon for a clean up (yes, I have been here before) and was helped by an older woman. I didn't get her name, but i should have. I asked for a clean up and she easily made one eyebrow half the thickness of the other. When I checked them, clearly upset, there was no attempt to resolve the issue other than try to take half of my other eyebrow away. Moral of the story, avoid this place like the plague!!! Not sure why this place has such bad reviews but I'm assuming it all depends on who does your brows. Shindi did a perfect job on mine! I am SUPER particular about my brows. I love a full, clean brow and had been going to the same brow lady in Atlanta for 3 years. After moving to KC for a few months to visit family, I was growing desperate and went to another threading place where my brows were completely destroyed...the lady took off WAY too much! It took 2 months to grow my brows back and I gave a place a shot after a recommendation from a friend. I told Shindi I wanted them as thick as possible and to only clean them up a bit. She listened and moved quickly and it was pretty painless for threading. I now have beautiful, full brows and will definitely book again with Shindi! read more

This place is the absolute worse. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded since I was 16 and have had about 5 different people thread my brows. I tried this place out when I moved to KC. The ladies working here are the absolute worse and only here to make money. They do everything super quick lacking quality to get in more customers. A good threading session will take AT LEAST 10 minutes. The two times I went in to get my brows and upper lip threaded I was in and out within 5. I went back home and realized there were many hairs still left behind and she hadn't shaped my brows properly. Never returning here again. Numerous other threading places in OP and Shawnee mission that are definitely better and worth the drive! She informed me those working today shes never seen before. My little grandson was sitting in waiting area and had to use restroom. Mind you, were paying customers. They told him he needs to go to Dillards to use theirs. He barely could hold it yet they refused!!! Who does this with a child????? Walked in at 2:45. There was only one woman "working." There was only me and one other person waiting to get their eyebrows done. The woman tells us it's her lunch time and we need to wait 20 minutes. She goes in the back, heats up her lunch, and brings it to the front counter to eat it. She also calls someone and talks to them on the phone while eating...all while me and the other person are sitting here appalled. For how slow this place is, I can't imagine there wouldn't be another time for her to have lunch. This is the worst display of customer service I have ever experienced.
