Rob is great and very personable. With that being said, I called and made an appointment to get my septum pierced. Why I wanted it done you might ask, it's so that I wouldn't regret not getting it when I was stewing for years wanting them. Anyway, I came in and the place was bright, clean and was greeted immediately by Rob. This is an exclusively piercing place only. I go and filled some forms and went to pick on my nose ring. I went with the standard 16 gauge titanium horseshoe ring (no colored ones for now coz of work). Now, I was told my nose cartilage's moves and my small nostrils didn't help. So when it was poking time, Rob kind of have to move the needle to make sure the piercing is aligned. It made me tear up, but the pain was actually nonexistent and it was so quick I didn't know it was already done and over with. Rob made this a very feel good experience for me. Aftercare were also provided for you with clear instructions so you can better care for your fresh piercing. Definitely will come back to get some more piercings done. read more

Rob was very patient in answering all of my questions and it was a breeze to make an appointment for a second lobe piercing. Prices were very reasonable (I expected it to be a lot higher), but he doesn't compromise on service. The piercing itself was not painless, but he minimized it by working fast and was extremely gentle. By the time I was ready to leave, the pain was already gone. His shop and instruments were also very clean. I would recommend Rob's shop for anyone who is looking for great service, expertise, and a good value. Thanks Rob! read more

Definitely the place to go to for any piercing! Rob is so knowledgeable in his craft & he is such a nice person. I've never had a problem with healing any of my piercings from him! Good choices of jewelry since my ears are super sensitive and he has implant grade titanium which is just what I need! I've been going ot him for more than 10 years for most of my ear piercings! The place is clean, he sanitizes literally everything & overall provides amazing customer service. Best place in Modesto & in general for me. read more

Rob is the best at what he does. He is the only body piercer I will go to. He has done 4 of the piercings in the photo (he also did my nipple piercings). I have recently allowed my daughter to get a couple ear cartilage piercings and she is very comfortable with him. He is very professional and very honest in his practices. If you go in and want a piercing, he won't do it if you're anatomy isn't right. I went in wanting a triple forward helix, but with the current mask wearing requirements, he advised against it, to protect from irritation from wearing and removing masks. Rob is very responsive to all my email inquiries (I live an hour away). Whether it be about pricing or about jewelry that he has or can order. read more

Very happy with the service and care that was put into every piercing. My girlfriend got a second lobe piercing, and I got a double eyebrow piercing. No infection after, no problems at all. I found it humorous how emeralds is next door and couldn't help us but I will say, hands down the gentleman who owns this is totally legit . He is awesome has a variety of jewelry you can use. I've waited too damn long to get my first piercing done here!! I came in super nervous but determined to get my eyebrow pierced (something I've wanted for years but never had the confidence to do it) and Rob answered all my questions and made sure to tell me my risk of rejection from having thin skin right off the bat! Even told me to come back in for him to check on it if I have any worries at all. Really appreciated the transparency and helpfulness. I rank the piercing a 1/10 pain level, and can definitely attribute it to his very apparent skill and calm attitude (which helped my nerves a LOT). Came in after driving by and looking at other reviews and I'm so glad I did! He accepts walk ins which is always nice. He made sure I didn't have any questions or concerns. Was also very thorough when checking my nose anatomy for the piercing which ensured me that he was taking his time and cared about my piercing/me. My friend and I decided to get nose piercings and called in a day before to get an appointment. Rob was nice enough to squeeze us in for the next day to get pierced! From the minute we walked in, Rob made us feel welcomed and talked us through the stud we could choose. We then proceeded to the room to get pierced and he was so friendly. Had my ears pierced today! Luckily when I walked in it was empty so I was taken care of right away. Rob was there and he was super polite. Very very knowledgeable about piercings and what looks good and what is more suitable. So I ended up doing 2 extra piercings on each ear lobe. And the process was smooth. He dotted them to make sure I was satisfied with the placement, then I kept going back in forth in regards to whether I wanted the smaller earring in front of the larger one. So he would display them for me! He talked to me throughout the piercings to keep my mind off of it and would pierce at the point of your exhale so that was cool that he keeps that mind If you want a honest. Trustworthy. Clean and Efficient pierce job, this is your place. This is coming from someone who has never done anything like this before!! So if I am happy. I know you all will be as well. read more

First off let's get one thing straight... Rob is a total badass. I've visited Mystical Body several times and I always have a wonderful experience. I've gotten secondary lobe piercings, he aced it, perfectly symmetrical, 10/10. Then I went and got an upper lip piercing redone, to try to fix the asymmetry to the other upper lip piercing, as the one being redone was initially noticeably lower. Again, he aced it. Absolutely perfect. Another 10/10. Just recently I went in and got a vertical labret piercing... I cannot even begin to describe how much joy this one brought me... I have no words other than it was, again, perfect! The symmetry between my vertical labret and Angel bites is so incredible... honestly I'm pretty speechless. And that's just on symmetry! Rob is very knowledgeable, always makes sure you leave with an aftercare sheet, makes sure you understand what's going on, what gauge your jewelry is, how long the healing process is, etc. Every time I've been there I've always felt like there was mutual respect. He won't just pierce you if you haven't got the proper anatomy just for the money, unlike some other piercing shops (that may or may not be just a few feet away from mystical body) oh, but I wouldn't know too much about that... Honestly don't go anywhere else. I won't. EDIT:: because I forgot; He uses internally threaded titanium as the starter jewelry, has a beautiful selection of jewelry, no mystery metal stainless steel BS. read more

Mystical Body is my go to place for piercings. Rob is the most educated piercer in Modesto. He tells you the pros and cons of a piercing and tells you if it is suited for your body. He isn't interested in your money, he is interested in your safety. He wants what is the safest for your body. I trust him with all of my piercings. I've gotten a total of 11 piercings from him and he does amazing every time. The jewelry is high quality and not that bull shit you buy off e-bay for $3. His prices are high but I'd rather pay good money for a good, safe and clean piercing then $15 for something that is unsanitary and pierced by someone who has little to no education about body anatomy/piercings. I highly recommend this shop and this piercer. I wouldn't trust any other piercer with my body. read more

rob is a super cool dude! he's great at conversation and making you feel welcome and comfortable in his shop, which btw is super clean and professional. he makes sure to give you aftercare instructions and sends you on your way after an easy process! pricing is what you could expect it to be, especially with standard titanium jewelry. it was $115 total for a bridge piercing and to reopen a tongue piercing that was thought to be closed (which was amazing to watch) including the jewelry. overall, this was more than just getting another piercing, this was a full on experience of a life time! rob isn't just a piercer, piercing is his craft and he's the best in the area! read more

First, i'm gonna start with the customer service. Rob did my piercings and I'm glad he did. I got both of my nostrils pierced. He made sure they were symmetrical to the structure of my nose and face. When he was prepping for the piercing, he explained everything he was doing and made sure i was comfortable too. Second, the options of jewelry to choose from is amazing! You can choose from many different colors which i think is super neat. All in all, the environment was great, service was professional as well as great, and i felt comfortable! I recently went to Rob for nipple piercings, and his shop was exactly what I was looking for. He's been piercing for a very long time and it's obvious that he knows what he's doing. I didn't even feel a sliver of uncomfortableness with Rob, and he made me feel confident that my piercings would heal nicely as long as I take care of them. It was $135 for the piercings with standard barbells (including the cleaner for them) and I was fine with paying that price for the quality of the piercings and Rob's expertise! Comparing Rob's shop with the one at the mall, which is cheaper by about $50, I would choose Mystical Body any day and save yourself the hassle of dealing with possible botched piercings or an uncomfortable experience. Got trolled so hard here…read more Called in to ask if they do walk ins and the price for ear piercings and gave the price $70 for piercings and studs and said walk ins are available so we agreed. Came in and I asked questions since I never got a piercing and didn't know the procedure but neither the receptionist nor piercer wasn't feeling it that day. Maybe I just caught them in a bad day but either way got my ears pierced quickly. However when I went to pay with my Apple Pay they said cash only AFTER I got my ears pierced and they never said anything on the phone. I asked if I can pay by credit card or Apple way and they pointed at an ATM that I couldn't withdraw money from (since I had no debit card). So since I only had a credit card and apply pay, I had to give up my drivers license and waste about an hour walking around to and back to a gas station that didn't do cash backs and Walgreens a mile away that I had to purchase twice and had a limit of $40 for cash. So after I walked all the way back in the Modesto summer in dress shoes (since I came from an interview) I asked them how should I pay the difference and showed me I can pay with... ...Venmo. ...and yeah, they just made me walk an hour in the blistering heat when I could've just venmoed them the whole time. It's a shame since the place was pretty cool and had a nice vibe to it. I debated on giving them like 2 or 3 stars cause they pierced my ears well but man walking in that Modesto heat for 1 hour in dress shoes to get cash I wasn't informed or needed was not the best experience. So yeah... TLDR: bring cash.

I also have had 4 ear piercings done by him. My little sister had 4 ear piercings done here as well. I don't know anything about his work when it comes to tattoos. In regards to the piercings.. I love them! He knows what he is doing and is obviously experienced. Yes, if you are a girl he will flirt with you but it's all in a joking matter. If you can't deal with it or laugh with him then don't come here. He always gives great customer service to me every single time I've been here. I only get my piercings done by him. Plus, because this shop is in the ghetto they're great prices! Haha can't compare. Come here for yourself and judge for yourself :)
